MALIK AL-FAROUK STOOD TRANSFIXED, staring at the car that took Emma away till it became a dot amidst the other moving vehicle. His mother has always told him that love can be like a moving train that hits you without knowing nor expecting it or it can be like a gentle breeze grazing you softly and luring you in before it becomes a tornado.
Without any atom of doubt he knew he has met his fate and he did not mean or think it lightly despite knowing the gravity of his circumstance. The moment his eyes connected with her sparkling hazel own in the crowd he felt a pull and he was sure she felt it too.
At Twenty-eight he has met his share of beautiful women, some he did not have to even pursue before they subccum to him but this beautiful stranger is in a class of her own.
His phone rang bringing him out of his thought, he knew who was calling even before he answered, he draw out his phone swiping the button to answer it.
"Im around the corner you can relax"
"My prince you can't continue to do this please. I am sending a driver to pick you up" Khalid—his best friend and head of security detail grumbles.
"I will find my way home and stop treating me like a child." He said tersely before ending the call.
"Dannit!" he mutters in frustration when he noticed that his hand has mistakenly wiped Emma's number from his screen. He had typed it on his phone but too carried away to save it properly.
He wanted to hit something, he slung his guitar unto his back, crossing the side walk before hailing the cab that will take him back to his hotel.
His mind preoccupied with how he will go about searching for an American lady with hazel eyes and chestnut-brown hair.
'May be its for the best' he mutters to himself but has he said it even he himself knew his life will never remain the same again.
The car pulled up to the front of a magnificient hotel, its one of the top exclusive hotel in Barcelona, he sighs softly at the sight of Khalid waiting not so patiently at the entrance.
"Thank heavens you are here." Khalid said rushing towards him to collect the guitar case from him. "I hope you will be happy if I have a heart attack on your behalf one day your highness." He mutters.
"I warned you before we left home that I want to live my life without any hassle, you are the one that insisted on following me Khalid, besides I am not even in the mood to argue tonight" he replied as the elevator door closed moving up to the penthouse suit.
Khalid knew better than to argue with him when he is in this kind of mood, noticing the burrowed eyes and tensed shoulders.
"What is the matter? Something bothering you my prince?" he asked, concern lacing his words.
Malik sighs softly, "I think I may have met my soul mate this evening" he replies as the elevator door slids open to their suit.
"Your soul mate?" he retorts back, confused by his response. He insert the key card to unlock the door to Malik's room, pushing the door open for him.
"Yes, then I lost her—I mean she gave me her number then I lost it, please don't ask me how" Malik said tersely, crossing to the wine cabinet to pour himself a drink.
"Okay I won't ask you how my prince but this mystery lady you said is your soul mate you don't even know anything about her besides we both know it can't be, I mean you can have flings here and there but it can't be anything serious knowing you are practically engaged back home." He pointed out.
"I don't want to talk about home or about an engagement that was done on my behalf" Malik said gruffly.
"But we will have to at some point your highness, this has gone far too long, I mean it has been six months and your father—"
"Do not mention him to me. I don't want to hear it. now lets think of how I'm going to locate this lady" crossing from the mini bar to sit in one of the couch occupying the space.
"Fine, what is her name?" Khalid knows how stubborn he can be, so he let the matter rest.
"Emma, that's all I got from her."
"That's no information , I need a more comprehensive—"
"Well that's all I had" he said with a sigh.
"That's tough, anyway give me any tiny detail you can think of and I will see what I can come up with, that aside are you still going for the local art exhibition tomorrow evening? So I can get things ready."
"Yes I will and don't make a fuss about it, the last thing I need is for me to draw un-necessary attention. Now back to Emma"
"I'm listening" Khalid draws out his note pad to take down the information wondering within himself about what is special with this mystery lady his Prince is touchy about.

EMMA THOMPSON STARES AT HER PHONE FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME, yet no call or text from Malik. It is already noon and she has been waiting to hear from him but nothing was forth coming. A strong sense of disappointment hit her as she finally accepted that her new friend is not coming.
"I must have imagined the intense attraction between us" she mutters to herself, toeing off her sandals and lying back on the bed. She sighs softly when a message pops up on her phone, it was from Susan—her friend, asking for an update about the mystery man. Emma had told her friend everything that happened the previous evening, with her friend giggling with excitement at a possible prospect for her single friend.
She typed her response that it was a no show, and immiediately her phone rang.
"I knew you will call" Emma chuckles softly as she answered the call.
"Of course I will, what do you mean he did not call you? but you said you guys had a connection and with the way you spoke about him last night I felt it too, im sure something happened to him" Susan said in her usual thoughtful manner.
"I guess you are right."
"Don't worry if it is fate you will see him again, now lets talk about the art exhibition you mentioned for this evening."
Emma face lights up at the mention of the exhibition, her mentor and coach gave her an invite to the local art exhibition so as to learn and explore other artist works.
"Im so excited about tonight." She said.
"im sure you will have a great time, I can't wait for you to come back home, we miss you already."
"Same here Suzie."
"Alright let me allow you to rest up for your exhibit. Love you, bye."
"Love you too, bye." Ending the call.
Emma dropped her phone, leaving the bed to look for the dress that she will wear for the evening.
