the vision ended, "What was that?" asked Darren, the old man replied, "A memory, your memory," once Darren heard that he collapse to the ground, he never knew that. All the time he thought he was actually a normal person with actual father and mother, Darren still have a doubt so he asked again, "Wait, is that all true?"
The old man answered, "Yes, it is," Darren was freaking out quite a bit, he didn't know what to do. He started to think back, and realize, "Oh, Now it started to make sense. All my life I thought, why do my father and mother always care about my brother so much more, and why is it not the same for me. Ever since he was a kid, he got a cool toys in his birthday, but all I got is a small thing. Now I know why," said Darren. He was quite stressed.
"We're your actual family, Darren. That's why, and I am your real grandfather. We never even get to officially name you, you were sent away from us," replied the old man. He sighed and said, "We didn't want to send you away, but we had to do that to save your life."
"Well, so if this is true, then where are my father and mother? Where are they now?" asked Darren, "Unfortunately, after they sent you away, to save you. They were killed by the Shadowbinders,"
"The shadowbinders?" asked Darren, the old man answered, "The people who attack our village, they're called Shadowbinders, and they are ruled by Dreadweaver. They are the one that killed your father and mother."
"Oh, wait. So you're telling me that I have another father, and mother, but they're both dead?" ,said Darren. Darren's grandpa, the old man sigh and replied, "I know, and I am sorry. The real world can be cruel sometimes, follow me, I wanna show you something."
Darren stood up, and followed his grandpa. He walked Darren out of the house, and not long after, they arrived at a graveyard. There he saw a gravestone, the letter on it was "Beloved Andes, Your sacrifices be always be remembered, I hope you are happy there, your father," the gravestone was right next to another gravestone that said, "Andes's wife, Fiona. You'll always be remembered, Andes's father."
"That's your father, and mother. I really wish they are here with you, I am sorry," said Darren's grandpa, he continued to speak, "But their death is not for nothing, before they died they were able to kill one of Dreadweaver's greatest minion, Charlotte. He was a strong warrior, a strong opponent to us. Charlotte was also the one who killed your aunt, so let's say their death is not for nothing."
Darren didn't really want to believe this is real, but the old man looked serious, and the way he spoke, Darren knew he is definitely not lying, also the visions he saw was so real, and it made senses to him. Considering those, Darren believed this is the truth.
Darren quickly sat in front of their gravestones, he whispered, "I know this might be weird, but I'm your son, Darren, after 18 years I finally found out the truth, and now I'm here for you. Thank you, for loving me," Darren sighed, Not long after his grandpa spoke, "Your parent would be so happy if they hear this from you, Dreadweaver and all his minions, they will pay this one day."
"Dreadweaver, why did he attack us?" asked Darren. Darren's grandpa replied, "The real story is really long, I will tell you everything you need to know, but first come, follow me. I wanna show you something."
Darren followed his grandpa again, and soon he saw a tunnel. Darren knew the tunnel goes underground somewhere, but he didn't know where it would take him, so he asked, "Where would this tunnel take us?" "I won't spoil it to you, just follow the path, and see for yourself," said Darren's grandpa.
They walked down the tunnel, and folloed the tunnel. After a while they arrived somewhere. In front of them is a giantic trees, it was on a valley surrounded by glowing waters.
The tree is super big. Darren thought it has to be at least bigger than 10 modern houses combined, it might even be 20 times bigger than normal trees. The tree is glowing, it has many shade of colors including pink, light green, light blue, purple, blue, yellow, and orange. Overall it is super beautiful, and endlessly fascinating.
"Oh my God," said Darren. He was fascinated by the tree. He said, "This might just be one of the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life."
"I agreed, it is so fascinating." said Darren's grandpa, he continued speaking, "This tree is the source of our magic, our ancestors used all of their magic to build this tree. They built it so that our magic can never gone lost, and so we could have magic, the same magic they had."
Darren's grandpa raise the staff he was holding up, and magically used it took a tiny part of the tree's magic energy. He sent it straight Darren, Darren automatically absorbed it, suddenly he felt different. He can't tell exactly how different, but he can feel it.
"How do you feel?" asked Darren's grandpa, "I feel different, I can't tell how but, I feel it," answered Darren. His grandpa smiled after he heard that.
"Speak after me, "Anta, Melita, Yelenopo, slite," said Darren's grandpa. Darren repeated after his grandpa, but nothing happened.
"Now do it again, but this time say it in your mind, and think of something you wanted to summon. It could be anything you can use to fight," said Darren's grandpa. Darren tried it, and soon a sword appeared in his hand, "Whoa, how?" Darren gasped, he smiled as he was able to did that.
"You're part of our magic now, the sword wasn't real until you made it real, and you did that with your magic, our magic is free for you to use now, all that left is for you to learn all the spells they are," said Darren's grandpa. Then they look at the magic trees for how beautiful, and amazing it is. Suddenly, they heard a people screaming sound coming from outside the tunnel, "Did you hear that? Why are they screaming?" asked Darren.
Darren's grandpa and Darren both knew something is wrong, they quickly ran out of the tunnel to the source of the screaming sound.
Around 20 minutes earlier, when Darren followed Mila to visit his real grandpa, Edward took Jenna, Jacob, and Lyra to his house, "Woah, your house is so cool, I mean yeah, of course. Every house in this village is awesome," said Jacob.
Edward's house wasn't too big, again there weren't any electricity in or outside the house, but there are torches, and lanterns on the wall instead, other than that the house was not too different from other house, "So I guess you all would have to stay here for now, go ahead. Make yourself at home," said Edward.
"How long do you think we will stay in your world?" asked Jenna, "Hmm, probably not long now, I'll send you all back as soon as possible, as soon as we can guarantee your safety," answered Edward.
"Okay, So is there like a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen in this house?" asked Jacob. Jenna, and Lyra quickly looked at Jacob when he said that, "What? I'm just asking. I am curious," said Jacob.
Suddenly, while they were talking, an Exerzuolus, the white fox they saw before, it stepped into the house because the door was left open. It was the same white fox they saw before, Cotton. The fox ran to Jenna, and looked at her with adorable eyes, soon it started to make adorable sound. It was very cute. Jenna couldn't stop herself due to the cuteness of the fox, she asked Edward, "Oh my God, can I carry her?"
Edward answered, "Of course, I'll get you a drink, and I'll bring be right back," while Edward walked to get a drink, Jenna quickly carried Cotton on her arms, she walked to Lyra and said, "Look at her. She's so cute, isn't she?"
Lyra answered, "Oh gosh, yeah. She's so adorable, she is like a dog in our world, but I don't know, it looked magical?" "Oh, let me see," said Jacob. He walked closer to see Cotton, and touched it, but suddenly her body started to glow lighter.
"Wait, Is it just me or she just got lighter? I mean she wasn't this bright when I saw her walked in," asked Jacob. Jenna took a better look and think for a second, she answered, " Yeah, She got lighter, at first she was just glowing a little bit," "But why? What does that suppose to mean?" asked Lyra.
Jenna answered, "I don't know, I'll ask Edward when he came back," "Hmm, Or maybe she just like Jenna?," said Jacob.
Just a seconds after, Edward came back with 3 glasses of drink, "Oh, great," said Jacob.
"Excuse me, Edward, why is Cotton glowing like that?" asked Jenna. Edward replied, "Hmm, that means she is hungry, I'll get her something. You can drink these Ecolisea Juice while waiting," Edward handed Lyra the glasses of drink, and walked to get something for Cotton to eat.
"Hmm, What kind of drink is this?" asked Lyra. The drink was green, it smelled good, but it doesn't smell like anything they have smelled before.
"Well, I heard Edward said Ecolizing or something, I'm sure it's edible," said Jacob. He quickly grab, and drank it, "Ooh, it's good, really good, you should try some," said Jacob.
Jenna grabbed the glass of Ecolisea Juice, she thought for a while, and decided to drink, "Oh my god, it is really good," agreed Jenna.
A second after, Edward came back with a fruit. It looked exactly like a blue apple, just before Edward was about to hand the fruit to Jenna, Suddenly there was a people screaming sound coming from outside the house, the same sound Darren heard before.
Everyone quickly got out of the house to see the source of the scream, and when they got out they saw a terrifying monster not too far from them.
The monster is red, similar to the color of human blood. It has a big wide mouth fulls with human like teeths. It has a sharp claws on both its hand, and its feet. The monster looked humanoid, except it is around 2 times bigger, and it is very scary.
"Whoa! What the fuck is that thing?" asked Jacob. He was scared by the monster, "No, not a thing. This is Demonian. A human transformed into this monster."
"Huh what? How the heck would human turned into one of that? It looks like alien from another world or something," said Lyra. Jacob quickly made a joke out of that, "Well, this is another world, remember?"
"You said human turned into that monster, right?" asked Jenna, "Well, I think it's true. Look at the monster's head, it has a hair on its head. A human hair," said Jacob.
Edward answered, "Well, technically there is a half demonian in this village, but uh," Edward saw that the Demonian was hunting people ,and it almost got one, he quickly said, "No time to explain, I gotta stop it."
The Demonian screamed, it jumped to a man, and put him down to the ground, making him almost impossible to fight the monster. The man tried to grab a dropped knife next to him, but he struggled to do so.
Once Edward saw that, he quickly tried to use his magic to push the monster without touching, the same magic he used against the tree monster, but it didn't work at all. The monster didn't even care about it, the Demonian quickly bite off the man's head, and swallow his head whole, "No!" shouted Edward.
The Demonian didn't really care about Edward because he is too far away. Due to that the Demonian continued its rampage. It jumped to a woman, and put her down to the ground the same way it did before. This time Edward quickly ran to the monster, and summon fire. He send the fire straight to the monster. However, the fire did nothing either. It didn't hurt the monster at all ,but it did caught the monster's attention.
Suddenly, another fire was shot to the monster. This time, it wasn't Edward. Edward quickly look to the source of the fire, It was Darren, he tried to use magic for the first time, it was the magic his grandfather taught him. However again, the fire did not work at all.
Once his friend saw the fire, they quickly looked at the source, and saw Darren, "Darren?" said Jenna, Jacob added, "Whoa, Darren with magic, how?" "Doesn't matter how, he's cool," said Lyra.
After the monster got hit by the fire, it quickly ran to Darren. Darren stayed calm, based from what Darren knew. He think he can summon anything he can use to fight, so this time he try to summon snow instead. He send the snow straight the Demonian. However, same result. It didn't work, but it did stopped the monster from running though, but Darren can't hold it for long so he stopped.
The monster continued to rush to Darren, but that didn't scare him. Darren summoned a sword in his hand, and he threw it to the monster.
The sword did impaled the Demonian, but it didn't really cause any damage. The demonian quickly use its hand to pull the sword out, and ran to Darren once again.
Darren summoned another sword and held it steady. He decided to fight it in melee combat. Darren isn't really good at combat fighting as he never did it before, but he didn't what else he should do.
Just before the Demonian reached Darren, a light blue colored magic was shot to the monster from the back of Darren.
Darren looked back, and saw it was his grandpa, he shot that magic from the staff he was holding, but again not even the magic shot by Darren's grandpa was able to hurt the monster. Darren's grandpa was very surpised by that.
The Demonian changed its target, it quickly rushed to Darren's grandpa, "I got this, Darren," said Darren's grandpa. Darren nodded, and walk to his friends, "Darren, how did you have magic?" asked Jacob, Darren answered, "It's a long story."
Darren's grandfather stood still, held his staff steady, he is ready to attack it.
