Inside the grand halls of the queen's castle, the torches flicker as Sir Galahad, a valiant and steadfast knight, kneels before the queen on the throne.
" Your grace"
She stands to her feet and hands him a sealed letter with a royal seal.
"With her face grave with concern, she said.
"This letter contains urgent information—revealing a treacherous plot by Lord Marvin, conspiring to overthrow the king. The king and the crown princess are in danger. A plot to assassinate the crown princess and the king on the day of the kingdom's horse race. The king, fighting in a distant war, must receive it before it's too late. Do I have your word?"
"Yes, your grace."
"Sir Galahad, I am counting on you, for this letter holds the fate of the kingdom. You must deliver it to the king at the frontlines before Lord Marvin Maldred's men intercept you. I fear assassins are already on their way. This is why I have called you. You must move in secret."
SIR GALAHAD: (determined) "I swear on my honor, Your Majesty, I will see this letter delivered, or die trying."
He rises, takes the letter, and exits the castle.
Sea biscuits await. The horse stands tall, it's dark coat gleaming in the moonlight, sensing the gravity of the mission ahead.
Sir Galahad and Sea Biscuit ride swiftly through the quiet countryside. The landscape is vast and open, with rolling hills, dense forests, and rivers cutting through the land. As they ride, Galahad keeps a vigilant eye on the horizon, knowing the queen's warning is not to be taken lightly.
Speaking to Sea Biscuit, he said, "We must be swift. The kingdom's fat and the queen rest on this letter."
Sea Biscuit whinnies, increasing her pace. The wind whips through Sir Galahad's cloak as they charge forward, cutting through the night like a sword through shadows.
They reach a dense forest, where the thick trees and low-hanging branches create an eerie, shadowed path. Suddenly, the sounds of rustling leaves fill the air. Galahad's eyes narrow as he tightens his grip on the horse. "We're not alone." He announced reaching for a sword.
Twang
The sound of an arrow shot through the air. Galahad quickly dodged as the arrow flew past his head. An arrow was shot, and he quickly withdrew the sword and cut the arrow into with his sword.
As Sea Biscuit ran, he noticed a black entity hanging on the tree. He snorted and lifted his two legs, rearing in the air. This action caused the knights to spot assassins hanging on a tree.
"We have been spotted. Get them," the assassin shouted.
Without warning, a group of assassins dressed in black leap from the trees, swords drawn above their heads. Without any hesitation, Sir Gahaled swings his giant sword, clashing with the lead assassin who descended on him.
surrounding the knight and his horse were a group of assassins in black with their faces covered.
"The noble Lord Maldred sends his regards, Sir Galahad. Hand over the letter, or you won't live to see dawn."
Lead Assassin smirking
Sir Gahalad swung his sword at them and said confidently, "If you want the letter, you'll have to take it from my lifeless hand!"
"So be it. I will claim it from your lifeless body."
The assassins charge forward with their swords. Sir Galahad deflects a sword strike with his shield from an assassin attempting to strike him down from his horse, countering with a swift slash beheading the assassin's head, and quickly thrusts his sword into the heart of the assassin on his right.
Assassin from the back and front, rushing towards him. Sir Gahalad attempted to withdraw his sword, but he was surprised to see the sword pierced through an assassin held stuck by him.
With blood pouring from the injured assassin's mouth. He said, ''I am going to die, but you will go down with me.'' With a firm grip, he held the sword.
Get him now," he shouted. One other assassin joined the two assassins charging towards him.
One coming behind him and the horse, another in front of him and the horse, and one by the side facing towards him. They thrust the sword in the air at him.
Sea Biscuit, looking at a sword directed at his master right before her, rears up, raises up her upper body, and kicks the man in front of her and chops him to the ground. Quickly, she kicks the one from her back charging towards Sir Gahalad, her powerful kick sending him flying. Galahad lifted the shield, blocking the sword from his side. Swiftly, he powerfully pulled his sword, slaying the man who held the sword and swinging to his left. The head of the assassin charging towards him was sent flying.
Five assassins were killed instantly, and four remain.
" The horse. Get the horse," the lead assassin ordered, but before they could make a move. Galahad held the reins and moved ahead of them.
As they rode, he knocked the lead assassin's sword aside and delivered a decisive blow.
The remaining assassins flee into the forest, mounting horses to chase after them. Sir Galahad sheaths his sword, breathing heavily, and they rode fast away from danger.
"Let's move fast. The road is still long, and we mustn't tarry."
They press on, reaching a narrow ravine with cliffs towering on either side. It's a dangerous path, but the shortest route to the king's camp. As they descend into the ravine, a rockslide suddenly crashes down from above. Galahad pulls Sea Biscuit to a halt just in time, narrowly avoiding the falling debris.
From the ridge, the four assassins reveal themselves, bows drawn, arrows pointed directly at them.
Gahalad, gritting his teeth, said, "Another trap." Sir Galahad announced.
Sea Biscuit snorts, alert and ready. Without hesitation, Galahad spurs him forward, racing through the narrow pass as arrows rain down from above.
Sea Biscuit gallops at full speed, dodging and weaving as rocks crumble around them. The lead Assassin knocked his arrow and shot into the air. The arrow flies grazes Galahad's left shoulder, but he pushes through the pain, urging Sea Biscuit onward. Sea Biscuit leaps over fallen boulders and broken paths, his strength and speed unmatched. With a final burst of energy, they clear the ravine and escape the deadly ambush.
As the sun sets, they reach the outskirts of the battlefield, where the king's army is camped. But before they can reach the camp, four elite assassins—Maldred's personal guard—block the path. They revealed themselves in their assassin uniforms, clad in black armor, their weapons glinting in the fading light.
"This ends here, Sir Galahad. You won't make it to the king. I know you are the hero of the kingdom, but we are assassins trained to kill heroes. Drop the letter, and we'll spare your life." coldly said Lead assassin
Galahad, drawing his sword once more, prepared for the final battle. Sea Biscuit stands pawing at the ground, ready to fight once again.
With resolve, Sir Gahalad said, lifting his heroic sword, "The kingdom will not fall to your master's treachery. I know he plans to forcefully marry the princess and kill the king. But your plans will not work. Once I reported to the king. He shall pounce his army and slaughter all of you. Now get out my way," Galahad aimed his sword at them.
" Get him!" Lead assassin shouted. Three assassins, apart from the lead assassin, began to ride their horses, rushing towards him. Gahalad lifts his sword, ready for a fight; however, Sea Biscuitt paws his foot to the ground and begins to run towards them. Gahalad was surprised as SeaBiscuit moved on his own. As they got close to the assassin. Sea biscuit whine with a thunder scream.
"Bend the knee." The assassin's horse got very close to Galahad with their sword ready to strike when suddenly their horses screamed, halting their movement and lifting their leg into the air.
The assassins find themselves unable to control their horses. Sir Gahalad used the opportunity to thrust his sword into the first assassin's neck. Swiftly, without any hesitation, he slashed another from the shoulder down to his body, crashing the assassin to the ground, and the third man fell pushed by his horse from his back.
As the third assassin got up from the ground with his sword. He saw his own horse back kick him with power. He found himself lifted towards Sir Galahad, who struck the finishing blow by thrusting his sword into his heart.
" Now, your men have died, and you are now alone. Give up or you die."
Sea Biscuit snorted and whined too. The lead assassin discovered his horse rearing up, insisting he get off his back. He tried to hold the rein, but he was pushed to the ground. When he gets up to his feet. He saw his own horse lift its front leg rearing up and kick him, lifting him into the air. Another horseback used its back leg to kick the lead assassin like a football before he could land to the ground.
The lead assassin found himself in front of Seabiscuit, whose front leg lifted into the air.
"Noooo" He slammed the lead assassin to the ground with a leg on his chest. Blood spurted out of his mouth. Galahad comes down from SeaBiscuit and says, "You angered Seabiscuit, and it seems she has a special ability," he says, aiming the sword. "Any last words?" The lead assassin spits at him, and Gahalad thrusts his sword and finishes him.
At last, Sir Galahad and Sea Biscuit ride into the king's camp, exhausted but victorious. King Edgar, battle-worn and surrounded by his commanders, steps forward as Galahad approaches. The knight kneels and hands the sealed letter to the king.
Bowing his head, he said, "Your Majesty, a message from the Queen. There is treachery within the castle—Lord Maldred seeks to take your throne."
King Edgar's face darkens as he reads the letter, his hand tightening around the letter.
"So the rumors were true. Marvin Maldred will pay for his treachery. You have done a great service, Sir Galahad."
After delivering the letter, Sir Galahad and Sea Biscuit returned to the castle with the king and his army. The king's army is now prepared for the threat from within, and Maldred's plot has been foiled.
The Queen welcomes Galahad back with gratitude, her eyes filled with relief.
"You've saved the kingdom, Sir Galahad, and brought hope back to these lands. The king knows now of Maldred's betrayal." She announced proudly.
Sir Galahad, bowing, said to the queen, "Your grace, it was Seabiscuit who carried me through. Without her, the letter may never have reached the king. Your choice of horse you picked Your majesty was the key to this victory."
The queen approaches SeaBiscuit, gently stroking his mane.
"Brave horse, your loyalty and courage have saved the crown. You shall be remembered in the songs of knights for generations. I will inform the king of all your bravery with stories of the merchant and the knight. You and your owner shall be rewarded. I shall speak to Master Dan to have you as a gift for the princess "
As the sun sets over the castle, Sir Galahad and Sea Biscuit stand side by side, their bond stronger than ever, knowing that they have once again fulfilled their duty to the kingdom.
Finally, the mighty king had defeated Marvin, his foe, and beheaded him. He hears from the queen about Mr. Dan's horses, like SeaBiscuit and his famous, prideful, gorgeous horse, Isadora. So the king decided to visit Mr. Dan.
A lifetime's dream was finally going to be fulfilled. Isadora was happy. The king arrived with his entourage to pick a horse. The king requested the horse Sea biscuit, however. His noblemen persuaded him to pick the beautiful horse over the sea biscuit. The king melted when he saw the famous Isadora and complimented her beauty. "You have such velvety fur and a beautiful mane." The flattered Isadora thanked the King profusely. The king continued,
"You look like the kind of horse I have been looking for all my life." The horse neighed with excitement.
"Are you familiar with the lands of the country?" The king asked.
"No!" the horse replied.
"What about any experience in battle?"
"None too," she answered.
Annoyed, the king said,
"Of what use will you be then if you don't know the lands of the country, and have no battle experience? I heard stories of Sea Biscuits adventures. I expect more from you." Isadora frowns when she hears Sea Biscuit's name mentioned. She said
"I can run fast. I can run really fast," answered the horse.
"Well. We will have you tested on horse day."
The king decided to test the horse in a race among other horses in a horse racing competition.
"Whoever wins this race will get the king's gold, and the horse will be given a royal name called Princess of Charming, and its lineage will become royal horses of the prince and king. The horse merchant will be the royal horse caretaker and chief." Announced the king
This news spread quickly across the kingdom, and every horse merchant and racers who heard the proclamation from the king decided to join the race.
That day finally arrived, and, because a king was going to race, many racers in the land mounted their horses, and Mr. Dan decided to pick one of his strongest horses to race. Isadora snorted, and the strong horse threw Mr. Dan away and refused to allow him to climb its back because he bonded with Sea Biscuits.
Sea biscuits, as usual, came to Mr. Dan and snorted. Surprised, he asked, " Sea biscuit, you want to race too." Sea Biscuits snorted and cried like other horses would.
Sea Biscuit was climbed by Mr. Dan, and the duo was enrolled to compete against the king and other racers.
Many people began to laugh at Mr. Dan because SeaBiscuit was known to have a weak knee and may lose unbeknownst to them that Sea Biscuit has improved herself.
No one believed or bet on her. This angered Sea Biscuits, and the horse race competition began.
Mr. Dan only wanted to try out sea biscuits because of the amazing story he heard, but for sea biscuits, it was a do-or-die affair.
The contest began, and the horse raced into the field.
Isadora snorted, and a horse next to Sea Biscuit kicked her to the ground as soon as the contest began with Mr. Dan falling to the ground while the other horses moved ahead in the race.
"Hahahahah" The crowd pointed, laughing at them.
Sea Biscuit rose up to her feet, pawing the ground, and Mr. Dan climbed on her back, and she began to race. Many people in the crown laugh at her, but this only fuels her determination to win. Sea Biscuit moved faster with all her strength.
Mr. Dan noticed how serious and fast-paced SeaBiscuit was moving and decided to take it more seriously. The horses had gone far, however, faster and faster, passing different opponents racing on their way. Soon the crowd began to point in shock and cheer her on as she moved with determination in amazement, racing across the racing field overtaking anyone who was in her way.
Isadora was among the group of lead horses that noticed SeaBiscuit was behind her, shocked, she snorted to the other horses to knock SeaBiscuit so as the crowd would stop praising her.
SeaBiscuit raced when a horse raced in front of her and tried to knock her off. However, Sea Biscuit understood the trick and terrain as the knight had taught her.
She moved and jumped into the air hovering over the racer, and the horse in her front wow the crowd and continued her journey. Every horse was out to get her and turned into an obstacle.
Two horses in front tried to close the gap on her, trying to narrower her into the middle between two horses to slow her down. However, Seabiscuit halted her movement promptly, allowing the two horses to collide with each other.
The impact forced the horses and the racers to fall to the ground on top of each other while SeaBiscuit jumped and raced over them. Sea Biscuit manages to escape, but another horse comes racing through like a raging bull towards her, but she halts once more again, and the horse crashes against the ranch poles, causing an accident among other riders.
Soon no one was there in her front except the beautiful horse. The beautiful horse Isadora tried her best and even tried to get in the way. However, Sea Biscuit ran past her and gave her an overwhelming gap that the king was dissatisfied with Isadora.
Barely halfway across the field, Isadora grew tired, and SeaBiscuit won the race because she understood the terrain.
Seeing that the beautiful horse lacked endurance, the king climbed down and said,.
"You are just a showmanship horse, beauty without brains. You need more training and are unfit to run or protect me when invaders would attack," the king snorted, walking away, but the king, who saw the sea biscuits as she became beautiful in his eyes, went to her.
He bought sea biscuits and appointed Dan to be his chief, controlling all its war horses. All the other horses who laughed and bullied Sea Biscuit came and bowed before leaving Isadora behind.
It was at this point that the beautiful horse realized that she was in big trouble when all her friends and gangs were bowing before SeaBiscuit and her values. All the while she had been proud, little did she know that she was working against herself. Had she worked with the farmer, she would have built up enough strength to run across a vast field.
If she had worked with the merchant to deliver goods, she would have become familiar with the lands of the country.
If she had gone with the knight to battle, she would have obtained experience in warfare and strength as sea biscuits did.
She would have not only been strong but gained mastery of what she needed to do to protect the king."
"And the moral of the story is." Moyo's grandmother turned her face to look at Bella. "You are the beautiful horse, and opportunities will come your way. You must be humble enough so you do not miss out on the things that should become a ladder to your greatness. People follow values that bring out greatness and not a beautiful face. Friends will leave you in a heartbeat when they find someone better.
Sea Biscuits used the ladder of wisdom, understanding, kindness, and determination to reach her goals.. The proud horse was indeed beautiful, but no character, no brain. She lacked the capacity for greatness, but Sea Horse was not the most beautiful but had brains and character. Were she lacking, she built. The Bible says a wise woman builds her home.
The friends you ignore today, the poor person you look down on because you were born from a wealthy family, will one day become a great man or woman tomorrow that you might need." Bella inside the bubble sat with her face sad as she reflected her wrongs. Nia spoke through the bubble and said,.
"While you reflect on yourself, I will meet you in the next story with Moyo"
