The weekend brought a much-needed break for everyone, but for Alex and Olivia, it felt like anything but a reprieve. Alex had spent the better part of his Saturday morning on the football field, perfecting drills and analyzing strategies with his team. Meanwhile, Olivia was buried in her studio, preparing for an upcoming exhibition that promised to attract influential critics.

Alex's Struggles
The atmosphere on the field was tense. Gabriel, ever the thorn in Alex's side, seemed determined to dominate every drill. Each pass, each sprint was executed with precision, and his smug glances toward Alex only fueled the tension.
"Focus, Alex," the coach barked. "Don't let him get in your head."
Alex gritted his teeth, his frustration mounting. He was tired of Gabriel's constant attempts to undermine him, both on and off the field. During a scrimmage, Gabriel intentionally collided with Alex, sending him sprawling into the turf.
"Watch it," Alex growled, his crystal-blue eyes narrowing.
"Make me," Gabriel shot back, his smirk widening.
The coach blew the whistle, stepping between them before the situation escalated. "Enough! You're teammates, not enemies."
The word "teammates" felt hollow to Alex. Gabriel wasn't just a rival; he was a constant reminder of the pressures Alex faced to prove himself.

Olivia's Determination
Across campus, Olivia was working tirelessly in her studio. Her fiery red hair was pulled back in a messy bun, streaks of paint adorning her arms and clothes. She stared at the canvas in front of her, her brush hesitating over the blank space.
"You've got this, Liv," she muttered to herself. But the doubt lingered, gnawing at the edges of her confidence.
Her phone buzzed, and she glanced at the screen to see a message from Mia:
Don't forget to eat, genius. You're no good to anyone if you pass out.
Olivia chuckled softly, setting her brush down. Mia was right. She needed to take a moment to breathe. As she stepped outside for some fresh air, her thoughts drifted to Alex. Despite their differences, he always seemed to understand her struggles in a way few others did.

A Shared Moment
Later that evening, Alex found himself standing outside Olivia's studio. He hesitated before knocking, unsure if she'd want company after what he knew had been a long day.
"Come in," Olivia called from inside.
Alex pushed the door open to find her surrounded by half-finished canvases and scattered paint supplies. She looked up, surprised to see him. "Didn't expect you here, champ. What brings you to my corner of chaos?"
"I figured you could use a break," Alex said, holding up a bag of takeout. "And I could use some advice."
Olivia raised an eyebrow, setting her brush down. "Advice? From me? That's new."
Alex chuckled, taking a seat on the floor. "Don't get used to it. I just... I'm stuck. Between Gabriel, the team, and the scouts, it feels like no matter what I do, it's not enough."
Olivia sat across from him, opening one of the takeout containers. "You're carrying the weight of everyone's expectations, Alex. But you don't have to do it alone."
Alex met her gaze, the vulnerability in his eyes catching her off guard. "Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in it."
Olivia reached out, placing a hand over his. "Then let someone pull you back to the surface."
For a moment, the world outside the studio seemed to fade away. It was just the two of them, connected by unspoken understanding. But before the moment could deepen, Olivia smiled, breaking the silence. "Now eat. I'm not letting you leave until you've had at least three dumplings."
Alex laughed, the tension in his shoulders easing. For the first time in days, he felt like he could breathe again.
