Chapter 17 - The Goblin Lord's D-rank Fertility Talent

Augustus spent the morning preparing for the battle ahead.

He went over the events of the Lord Simulation with Limloo in detail, making sure every step of the plan was perfect.

They discussed the goblin raid, the traps, and the strategy that would guarantee their victory. Limloo listened intently, his glowing core showing his determination as Augustus explained each move.

The Slime Village was a hive of activity under Limloo's command. Traps were reinforced, barricades tested, and the slimes continued practicing their magic.

The slimes, once clumsy, were showing real progress. Sparks of fire, small gusts of wind, and splashes of water proved they were learning fast. Limloo's patient but firm teaching pushed them to improve quickly, ensuring they were ready for the fight.

While Limloo focused on the slimes, Augustus trained on his own. He sharpened his mana control and perfected his Air Step spell, the one he would use to storm the Goblin Village. Each attempt made his movements faster and more precise. He was ready to bring the plan to life.

By dawn, Augustus stood at the center of the village with Limloo.

The defenses looked just like they had in the simulation, and Augustus felt confident they were ready.

"Everything is in place," Augustus said, his voice steady. "We stick to the plan. No changes."

Limloo's core pulsed with light. "Understood, my Lord. The goblins will be immobilized, the slimes protected. The village is safe with me."

Not long after, the forest came alive with guttural cries. Nearly two hundred goblins, armed with crude weapons and mismatched armor, charged toward the village.

Augustus stood firm, his heterochromatic eyes sharp with focus. Beside him, Limloo floated calmly.

Limloo acted immediately, casting waves of paralysis magic that stopped groups of goblins in their tracks.

The slimes followed their training, using their magic cleverly. Wind disrupted goblin attacks, water blinded and disoriented them, and earth magic made them trip into traps.

The goblins, unprepared for such tactics, lost their momentum quickly.

Augustus observed carefully, comparing reality to the simulation. Everything was going according to plan. Limloo's leadership kept the slimes safe, while the goblins were systematically taken down.

When the raiding party was neutralized, Augustus turned to Limloo. "You've done well. The village is safe."

Limloo's core glowed with pride. "As you planned, my Lord. The goblins won't regroup. Now, the Goblin Lord awaits."

Augustus nodded, a confident smirk on his face. "I'll deal with him. Keep the village secure."

With that, Augustus activated his Air Step spell. Mana surged beneath his feet, launching him into the sky.

The forest blurred below as he sped toward the Goblin Village, his thoughts focused on ending the fight.

Landing quietly near the Goblin Village, Augustus surveyed the scene.

Just as the Lord Simulation had predicted, the goblins were disorganized, their morale shattered by the failed raid.

Ahead, the Goblin Lord's fortified dwelling loomed, its reinforced walls a testament to the cowardice of its occupant.

Augustus moved with precision, disabling the goblin guards at the entrance with swift, mana-infused strikes. Their weapons clattered to the ground as their bodies slumped into unconsciousness.

Instead of entering the dwelling immediately, Augustus leapt onto the roof, using Air Step to stay silent and out of sight.

He crouched low, his heterochromatic eyes narrowing as he activated the Lord Simulator using his free daily usage.

[You burst into the Goblin Lord's lair, catching him off guard.]

[His mocking smirk quickly melted into panic as your mana-infused strike disarmed him with ease, sending his jagged sword clattering to the ground.]

[Without hesitation, you severed both his legs with a precision strike, ignoring his howls of agony as you froze the stumps with ice magic to stop the bleeding.]

["You're not going anywhere," you said coldly, your voice devoid of emotion. "Now, tell me—what is your lord talent?"]

[The Goblin Lord writhed on the ground, his face pale and twisted in pain.]

["It's… it's a D-rank Fertility talent!" he stammered. "It improves the fertility of my subjects by 20%! I swear, that's all it is!"]

[You frowned, your heterochromatic eyes glinting with skepticism. "And why should I believe you?"]

["I'm not lying!" the Goblin Lord cried out, his voice cracking. "Please, I told you everything—don't torture me!"]

[Unmoved, you picked up his jagged sword and began the gruesome process of Ling Chi, cutting away at his flesh layer by layer.]

[The Goblin Lord's screams echoed in the dim room, but you remained calm, methodical.]

[After ten seconds, you stopped and spoke again. "Tell me again. What is your lord talent?"]

[The Goblin Lord, trembling and drenched in blood, repeated his answer. "D-rank Fertility! I'm telling the truth! Just kill me already, I beg you!"]

[His pleas fell on deaf ears. You repeated the torture ten more times, each session lasting long enough to push him to the brink of consciousness.]

[By the final session, the Goblin Lord had fallen unconscious, his body unable to endure any more pain. Still, his answer had not wavered.]

[Satisfied that you had extracted the truth, you ended the simulation.]

As the imagery of the Lord Simulation faded, Augustus's breathing steadied.

Crouched silently on the roof of the Goblin Lord's dwelling, he replayed the simulation's events in his mind, ensuring every detail was accounted for.

The revelation of the Goblin Lord's talent—a D-rank Fertility lord talent—only deepened Augustus's disdain for his enemy.

A faint smirk tugged at his lips. "So that's your trump card? How pathetic."

He descended from the roof with purpose, his movements silent but deliberate.

The Goblin Lord's fate was already sealed in his mind. Each step brought him closer to the conclusion of the plan he had meticulously prepared.

Inside the crude dwelling, the Goblin Lord sat hunched over a map, his sharp features twisted in concentration.

As Augustus entered, the Goblin Lord's eyes snapped up. For a brief moment, surprise flickered across his face, quickly replaced by a mocking smirk.

"Well, well," the Goblin Lord drawled, rising to his feet and gripping the hilt of his jagged sword. "The lord of the Slime Village, here in person. I didn't think you'd have the guts."
