Bob continued along the path. After two minutes, he heard something.
"AAAAAAAAAAA!"
A woman's scream came from Bob's right.
"Maybe some civilization, huh," Bob muttered to himself.
He headed in that direction, and he didn't have to walk far. About six meters away, the source of the noise came into view.
A girl was cornered against a tree. In front of her was a massive monster. It was shaped like a block, covered in sparse fur, and its entire body was armored with fragments of rocky plates. Its mouth was embedded in its torso, and it had no head.
Bob's eyes sharpened when he saw the girl. "A human?" he murmured. The girl appeared to be around 20 years old, with a slim figure and well-defined curves. She had yellow hair and tear-filled green eyes.
Bob charged at the monster. The creature turned toward him and charged as well.
