Bob opened his eyes and found himself in a seemingly infinite white room, similar to the Family Room. Beside him stood his classmates, and in front of them was Rend.
"We are in an ultra simulation that your brain perceives as reality. It is designed for learning artificial skills," Rend began.
"Today, I will teach you the most basic and very important artificial skill—mana control. Mana control essentially allows you to envelop a specific part of your body with your mana. You can also channel your mana into objects, such as a sword, and it will have the same effect as if it were applied to your body."
"When mana is applied to something, it makes it stronger and more durable. The higher your level, the stronger this effect will be. Let me demonstrate," Rend said.
Rend's hand became enveloped in a red glow and ignited into flames. A sword appeared in his hand, and it too caught fire.
