Bob and Zain rejoined the others, and they began eating—or rather, everyone except Bob. Zain and Bob chatted and joked around. It seemed like Zain had taken quite a liking to Bob, and Bob didn't mind him either. Talking with Zain was definitely better than staring into the void. Noth quietly ate his meal without saying a word.
"Could you two be quiet already? No one can eat properly with all your noise," Nia scolded them.
"Why don't you go hang out with your big friends, Nia?" Zain retorted.
The two of them kept bickering until Rend arrived and interrupted them.
"Bob, it's time for the mana core transformation. I'll explain what it is on the way," Rend said.
"But why does Bob have to leave? It's boring here with just these two," Zain protested.
"You all should head off to train and stop slacking," Rend said firmly before leaving with Bob.
