Bob sat down with Nina, but Nina moved a little further away. To her, Bob seemed more like a psychopath than ever.
"Fuck, finally I don't have to be stuck in the middle," Nina said, a hint of relief in her voice.
"Nina, what skill do you have anyway?" Bob asked suddenly.
Nina frowned, surprised by the question. She hesitated but eventually decided to tell him, thinking it wouldn't put her in danger.
"I guess I can heal, but the description sounded weird." She paused, then continued, "Let me summarize it for you—it's pretty strange: my fingernails rise, and I can stab someone with them. When I do, my mana turns into healing mana that violently penetrates their body and starts healing them. The process is very painful and can be compared to torture. Once I'm done and pull my hand away, the wound from the stabbing remains, but the body will still be paralyzed for three hours due to the violent intrusion of foreign mana."
"It's an uncommon ability, and probably useless," she finished, staring at the ground.
[Ruby Ruler finds this ability rather useless]
Bob thought for a moment and then suddenly shouted, "Demon, come here!"
"I know you're watching us!" Bob yelled again.
A snort echoed through the air, and Addak appeared, glancing curiously at Bob's crown.
When the people nearby saw Addak materialize near Bob, they instinctively moved away.
"I smell a strange aura coming from that crown. Anyway, what do you want?" Addak asked, clearly annoyed.
"Did everyone get a random skill box?" Bob asked.
"No, just your group. The observers liked you the most, and the one they like the most gets a random skill box," Addak explained.
"Why do you ask?" Addak added after a short pause.
"Is it okay to kill here?" Bob asked calmly, his tone eerily composed, as if he were asking about the weather.
[Mysterious Wanderer probably knows where you're going with this and isn't happy about it]
Addak stared at Bob with a mix of concern and dark amusement. "Yes. After all, you already killed those people outside the entrance. It's a safe zone only because radiation and monsters can't get in here."
"So that changes a lot of things," Bob said, his expression turning dark.
[Blood Shadow looks at you with a maniacal expression]
Nina, clearly unsettled, avoided looking at Bob and kept staring at the ground.
Addak seemed to understand what Bob was implying, and a wide grin spread across his face, revealing sharp yellow teeth.
"Since you killed the Boss in five hours, the next part of the main scenario will begin soon," Addak said with a sinister smile before disappearing.
Moments later, he reappeared in the air near the left side of the room and announced loudly, "Bob killed the Boss. The continuation of the main scenario will begin in five hours!"
When Bob heard this, a surge of anger consumed him.
"I'm Bob Keauzmur!" he shouted furiously.
The survivors turned to look at Bob, startled by his outburst.
Addak frowned, clearly displeased by Bob's tone.
"Bob Keauzmur killed the Boss. The sequel to the main scenario will begin in five hours," Addak repeated coldly.
Bob sat down, somewhat satisfied, but a new system notification appeared.
[1000 coins have been taken away for insolence]
[Coins: 5080]
When Bob saw the message, he punched the ground in anger, causing cracks to form in the floor.
Addak, noticing Bob's reaction, grinned and disappeared once more.
The people in the safe zone stared at Bob in amazement and fear, wondering what kind of monster could crack the ground with his fists.
Even the skinny man furrowed his brows.
"Bro, calm down. What happened?" Nina asked unexpectedly.
"I'd better not comment, or he'll take even more coins from me," Bob replied, his frustration evident.
"How much?" Nina asked with a raised eyebrow.
"1000," Bob said bitterly.
"I only have 495," Nina said, pulling out a pack of cigarettes from her purse. She looked inside and found it empty.
"Damn," she muttered unhappily.
Bob stood up abruptly, his voice dark. "It's time," he said, his tone sending chills through the room.
[Ruby Ruler is ready for some serious carnage]
[Blood Shadow is shaking with manic excitement]
[A Mysterious Wanderer sadly reminds you that you don't have to do this and that you're on the wrong path]
Bob considered his plan to murder everyone in the safe zone but hesitated due to three doubts:
1. He didn't know if the others had received random skill boxes. If they had, it could be a serious problem, and he might lose.
2. He wasn't completely certain he could kill in the safe zone without punishment, though he'd already killed people outside its entrance without consequence.
3. While Bob had killed many people before, they had always been "bad" people—rich scum, criminals, or those the police ignored. The people he killed at the safe zone entrance had threatened and tried to rob him. And on the train, he killed for survival. This time, however, he would be killing innocent people, and he didn't have to.
Despite his doubts, Bob decided to proceed. He reasoned that increasing his chances of survival justified his actions, even if it was selfish. He also wanted to test if he could gather enough blood to create a core.
Bob looked at the crowd in front of him, around 200 people in total.
[Inventory slots enabled: 0/5]
He pulled his sword from his inventory.
Nina glanced at Bob, immediately realizing what was likely to happen. She lowered her head and stared at the ground, unwilling to watch.
"There's no going back," Bob thought as he tightened his grip on the sword.
