"Whoa!"
"Woot-woot!"
"Lailaaaaa!"
"My goddess!"
"She looked at me!"
"WooooooAaaaaHhhhhh"
Loud cheering sounds of fifty thousand people echoed throughout the huge auditorium, which was larger than dozens of football fields combined.
The mere intensity of their voices seemed to exceed 145.4 dB, reaching heights that even made nearby walls tremble due to shockwaves.
Their excitement was visible throughout the auditorium; the subsequent jumps from fifty thousand people had created a small earthquake.
But, thanks to the architecture of such auditoriums, which is highly based on vibration instead of rigidity, along with suspensions, the whole impact was soothed before it could damage the foundation.
...
Tap tap
Soft and rhythmic footsteps echoed inside a hallway leading in the opposite direction of the exit, where a small and faint light was making its way.
A silhouette moved elegantly, with stars present on the dress glimmering in the dim light, casting a soft glow on the individual's face.
Emerging from the hallway, the light accentuated the figure, revealing an epitome of beauty with milky white skin, a light blush, and a soft smile.
Her long eyelashes blinked before she turned toward her assistant, her soft petal-like lips parting, "Uwwaaaah... Aunty, my leg hurts... sob."
Thud
SWISH
"Princess!"
Dozens of people standing there felt as if they were having a heart attack, seeing their salvation falling due to a leg cramp, but a silhouette at the last moment caught her falling body, giving a breath of relief to those people, "phew~."
"You shouldn't have acted rashly," supporting Laila was a figure of a middle-aged woman, with crimson hair, a slightly strong feminine build, and a burn mark on her face.
"Aunt... Sniff but my fans... sob." Laila's teary eyes conveyed her situation; not wanting to hurt her fans, she performed even with her leg cramp—a true idol.
"Lead the way," Meera ordered the other guards, who swiftly bowed and cleared the path by sidelining staff, as this was the back door, not allowing any outsiders to enter.
Making their way towards the dressing room, both moved through a long hallway before arriving there.
'!?'
Suddenly feeling something, Meera swiftly took out her gun, pointing towards one of the windows inside the large room, filled with decorations and classic designs, much bigger than a normal dressing room.
"Reveal yourself this instant!" Narrowing her gaze, Meera, while supporting Laila, tried to observe the surroundings, finding something amiss.
"Hoo, As expected of Meera, code 444. You are really sharp." A black-cloaked figure slowly emerged from the curtains, with a sharp glimmering dagger in his hand, eyes fixed on both of the people, while his gaze met that of the young woman who slightly peeked from behind Meera.
Tick
A small sound reverberated inside the room, unnoticed by anyone except one person.
'Is she confident in her bodyguard?' Being a professional assassin, the man had seen several victims with horror etched on their faces when facing him, their eyes showing the true despair they felt at that time.
But right now, he couldn't feel any such sensation from that young woman, who was called a saintess among the people around the world.
"Slurp, it will be fun," he thought, feeling excitement surging within him at the thought of seeing the despair etched on that beautiful face when he would cut her fingers one by one.
'No, no, not only her,' the cloaked figure realized what would happen if he recorded a killing video of that girl and showed it to the whole world.
What a sight it would be—millions crying as they watched their idol dying like this, "Hahaha."
He couldn't help but think about the spectacle it would create, something which would be etched in history, making him filled with excitement and a sensation of ecstasy.
Thud
"Hahahaha," the man fell on the floor while laughing uncontrollably, his teeth slowly gritting together, eyes becoming crimson, and his breath sticking in his throat, ultimately causing blood to start trickling down from his eyes.
"Kughh!" And finally, his eyes fell into eternal slumber.
"You shouldn't have taken action, Princess." Meera turned towards the young woman hiding behind her, already noticing the cause of the man's death being Laila.
"I-I didn't do anything, though." Shaking her hand in front, Laila tried to defend herself while moving towards the now lying dead body.
Leaning in, she picked a very small needle from inside the man's thigh. Due to the needle being very thin, it was hard to see.
"See, I just threw this LSD needle; who knew this bad man would die?" Laila pouted her mouth while averting her gaze, feeling bad for being doubted like this.
'!?'
'Lysergic dimethylamide,' Meera's eyes widened at the realization that the drug used on that needle was known for causing hallucinations, intense hormonal surges, internal organ damage, and finally death.
Not only that, but knowing that assassins are experts in killing, noticing a needle wouldn't have been much of a problem for them.
The needle was thrown exactly on the lateral thigh region, which was already muscular due to the assassin's running work, making that area have fewer nerves and more muscles, rendering a mere needle negligible to detect.
GULP
Meera was a professional, yet every time she saw the true beauty of the one known for her kind heart, even she herself doubted the reality of this world that believes that everything beautiful is heavenly.
"By the way, where are the others?" Laila searched the pockets of the cloaked figure but found nothing, as was expected from assassins who are experts in their work.
"It seems our people have captured them in the basement; he must have hidden here before the concert started." Moving towards the curtains, where the man's natural smell was dense, proving the presence of sweat and other natural fragrances from a longer stay.
"Should I kill them, Princess?" Meera inquired, already aware of the person behind this.
"Aunty, but why does Sister want to kill me? Didn't we agree to be on equal terms since last time I sent some assassins?" Placing her finger on her lips, Laila felt confused since both of them had already settled their previous battle.
"T-that's..." Meera, remembering the information she received while Laila was performing, was still hesitant to reveal the most important detail. She scratched her chin before disclosing,
"Master Akhil admitted that he loves you."
"Huh?" Laila's finger halted in its movement, looking blankly before slowly processing those words.
Thud
"Princess?!" Meera, seeing Laila falling on the floor with a smile, swiftly held her, trying to understand what just happened.
Thump thump
"M-my love~♡" Laila was lost in her own world, feeling a surge of emotions rising from within her, with her heartbeat quickening with each moment. "H-he loves me~!!!♡"
"No, Princess, did you also take that drug? Are you having hallucinations?"
