I remained tight-lipped, not wanting to reveal who had abused me. Won-Guk's surprising gentleness baffled me. Then, with a determined look, Won-Guk declared, "Fine, you won't tell me? Then I'll find the one who hurt you, I'll hunt the one who hurt you..."
My his suspicion growing, responded with a question, "Why would a Villain have to do that? It's not like I'm special to you."
Won-Guk's gaze softened as he spoke, his voice laced with a hint of tenderness. "You are special to me..."
My eyes widened at the words, a sense of familiarity washing over me, as if I had heard those words before. The declaration left me puzzled and uncertain, questioning the deeper meaning behind the statement.
Just as Won-Guk leaned closer, intending to kiss me, an unexpected burst of magic erupted towards us. Won-Guk, quick to react, repelled the attack with his own powers. With my body unfrozen, I made a hasty escape as Chul-ki approached.
I quickly glanced back, curiosity piqued. Who was this Won-Guk, and what was he to me?
As Chul-ki and Won-Guk clashed in battle, it became apparent that Chul-ki was no match for the powerful villain. I watched from a distance, torn between anger and concern for Chul-ki's safety, when suddenly, he found myself stepping forward.
With a firm voice, I exclaimed, "Stop! Killing isn't the answer!" I stood between them, desperately trying to diffuse the situation.
I shivered under the intensity of Won-Guk's cold gaze. My threat hung heavy in the air, and my heart raced in my chest. Won-Guk's words echoed in my head, "I would kill anyone if you don't tell me."
My eyes widened in horror as I realized the gravity of the situation.
Won-Guk's determination to extract the information from me was evident in his cold demeanor, and it sent a chill down my spine. With a heavy heart, I weighed the consequences of my silence. The knowledge that Won-Guk would go to great lengths, even threaten to kill, filled me with a sense of dread.
My voice wavered as I finally spoke up, "It was Chul-ki's doing... Happy now?"
Won-Guk's eyes glinted with anger as he pressed, "Why are you protecting him now?!"
I clenched his fists, meeting Won-Guk's gaze unflinchingly. "If anyone has the right to make him suffer, it's me. I want to make him suffer just as I've suffered under his control," I declared firmly, my emotions brimming with a mix of bitterness and determination.
—••• AT THE INFIRMARY ROOM••——
As I tended to Chul-ki's wounds, carefully healing his injuries, my thoughts involuntarily strayed to Won-Guk. There was a strange familiarity about him, an elusive feeling of connection that i couldn't quite put my finger on.
I fell asleep, I was interrupted as I found myself dreaming of a scene from my past - a distant memory involving a mysterious faceless child and my younger self. The child uttered the familiar words, "You are special to me..."
A shiver ran down my spine as I abruptly awoke, the dream's eerie familiarity lingering in my mind. "F*ck... I'm going crazy..."
My mind was consumed by a burning curiosity, and I knew that the only way to quench it was to speak with Won-Guk directly. Fortunately, I had a friend who might be able to guide me. With a determined resolve, I sought out this friend, hoping to find the answers I sought and finally unveil the truth.
As I quietly left Chul-ki's place, ducking out without drawing attention, I made my way to the home of a friend whose name is—Jang-Geum.
Jang-Geum, upon seeing me, she greeted me warmly, "Ah, Seong! It's been a while. How are you?"
Jang-Geum's eyes filled with concern as she noticed the serious expression on my face. He asked, "May I help you with something?"
I'm wasting no time, immediately asked Jang-Geum, "Where can I find Won-Guk?"
Jang-Geum chuckled and responded, "Funny you should ask, because he's right behind you."
Before I could react, I felt won-Guk's arms wrap around my waist, a smug grin on his face. "Did you miss me that much that you wanted to see me again, hm?"
i quickly threw Won-Guk off, eliciting laughter from Jang-Geum.
My frustration and confusion reaching a boiling point, grabbed hold of Won-Guk's collar and asked firmly, "Who are you to me, and who am I to you?! I need some answers!"
My voice trembled with a mix of emotions as i demanded answers, desperate to make sense of the strange connection between us.
As Won-Guk stood up, his gaze now gentle as he caressed my cheek. He explained, "I erased your memories back then... I did it to keep you safe... Before I became the villain. I wanted to erase all traces of our past."
My confusion was evident, but there was a flicker of understanding in my eyes. I looked at Won-Guk, trying to process the information. Jang-Geum watched us quietly, a knowing smile on his face.
My confusion deepened as I heard Won-Guk's explanation. Doubts began to creep into my mind, and I couldn't quite bring myself to believe the story. Frustrated and overwhelmed, I simply turned and walked away, leaving Won-Guk and Jang-Geum behind.
As I left, I was torn between my lingering curiosity and the uneasy feeling that I might be manipulated or deceived. The questions in my mind continued to swirl, unanswered and unresolved.
"Who am I to you... Won-Guk?"
