Chapter 1 - Prologue : Mana’s Awakening

In the year 3000, Earth was irrevocably altered by an event that defied all understanding. Without warning, the skies shimmered with a strange energy as a power unlike anything the world has ever seen surged from the depths of the planet. Mana, an ancient and untapped force, awoke from its slumber, flooding the atmosphere. It was as if the planet itself had been recharged, and its pulse now resonated through every living being, reshaping the very fabric of reality.

The world was plunged into chaos. In a heartbeat, over half of the total population was lost, they were the people and creatures who couldn't adapt to the sudden changes in the environment. The air grew thick, and the skies twisted into colors unknown. Plants mutated, some growing into towering behemoths with iridescent leaves, while others shriveled and died under the oppressive weight of mana. Animals, too, were caught in the tidal wave of change, with new species appearing, their forms altered beyond recognition some with wings that shimmered with magical energy, others with eyes glowing like molten embers.

Many of the survivors fell into a deep, unexplainable slumber, their bodies and minds unable to cope with the sudden onslaught of power. Those who survived the initial catastrophe were forced to endure a world that had transformed into something foreign and hostile. For years, they lay dormant, locked in a coma-like state, until one by one, they began to awaken. When they did, they found the world far different from what they remembered, there were no familiar cities, no landmarks. Instead, nature had reclaimed much of the land, and strange, twisted landscapes sprawled where cities once stood.

The most unsettling change, however, was the appearance of a peculiar phenomenon. Right in front of the left eye of those who had woken up from their mana induced coma, a translucent blue screen hovered, a window to a reality unknown, displaying cryptic messages and statistics. It wasn't long before these messages revealed the truth: the survivors had awakened with new powers, abilities they never thought possible. Something that would be later referred to as 'Bloodline abilities', inherited gifts that allowed them to harness the very energy of mana itself.

It was then that the world became aware of the dungeons. These rifts, portals to other dimensions began to open randomly across the globe, spewing out strange creatures and treasures alike. No one knew where these portals came from or how to control them, but they quickly became a source of both opportunity and peril. The dungeons, as they came to be called, became dangerous places of untold mystery and unfathomable opportunities, where those brave enough ventured to claim their prizes or face their doom.

The surface of the Earth had become a vast and ever-changing landscape, one where the laws of physics and nature no longer applied. Forests of towering trees, now infused with magical energy, covered once bustling cities, and vast plains were scarred with the remnants of crumbled civilizations. As the survivors began to explore this new world, it became clear that mana's awakening had altered everything. What remained of the old world was now a place of untamed magic, strange beasts, and dormant power.

And yet, the greatest mystery of all still lay ahead: why had mana awakened? What purpose did it serve? And, most importantly, what was the true nature of the bloodline abilities that now flowed through the veins of those who had survived?

As humanity clawed its way back from the brink, its resilience was tested like never before. The survivors, no longer bound by the rigid structures of the past, faced a world where strength dictated survival. Governments attempted to rebuild, clinging to old ideals of order and hierarchy, but the chaos of mana's awakening had fundamentally altered the balance of power.

Their efforts were short-lived. The sprawling jungles, towering ruins, and relentless waves of mana-infused beasts rendered traditional governance ineffective. Society fractured into countless scattered enclaves, and the shadow of extinction loomed.

It was during this tumultuous time that the strong rose to prominence. Those blessed or cursed with the most powerful bloodline abilities took matters into their own hands. These individuals, capable of reshaping the land with a single thought or holding back hordes of mana beasts, became humanity's only hope. Recognizing the futility of fractured leadership, they sought to unify the remnants of humanity under a single banner.

Thus, the Unified Global Order was born. This new government was not built on elections or ideals, but on strength and necessity. Those who had awakened the mightiest bloodline abilities took their place as leaders, wielding both power and authority to guide the fractured human race. At the helm of this new era stood a council of the strongest, their influence absolute, their word law. They were revered as saviors, feared as tyrants, and respected as humanity's last line of defense against a world that seemed determined to destroy them.

In this new world, power was not just a means of survival, it was the foundation of status. The strongest leaders established their own families, forging bloodlines that became synonymous with strength and influence. These families, born of mana's chaos, cultivated their abilities over generations, becoming symbols of humanity's resurgence. They were both guardians and rulers, ensuring that no other force whether beast, dungeon, or rival faction could challenge humanity's fragile unity.

But while the Unified Global Order brought stability, it also bred inequality. Those born into the ruling families enjoyed privilege, their powers nurtured and honed from birth. Meanwhile, the common folk struggled, eking out a living in a world that demanded resilience and adaptability. The disparity between the powerful and the powerless grew, but for most, survival under the banner of the Order was preferable to the chaos that had come before.

This new world was one where humanity once again clawed its way to the top of the food chain not through cooperation or ingenuity, but through sheer, unrelenting strength. Yet, beneath the surface of this fragile unity, tensions simmered. The strong ruled, the weak served, and the dungeons continued to churn out horrors and treasures alike.

Humans had finally reclaimed their place in the world, but that came at the cost of their humanity.
