Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Slaves Hunters .

The night was heavy with tension as Li Gags and his army prepared for their assault on the Yellow Clan's kingdom. Torches flickered in the dark, casting eerie shadows on the determined faces of the warriors. The camp was eerily silent except for the occasional clink of armor and the murmured instructions between soldiers.

Li stood in the command tent with General Karo and Vision, poring over a hand-drawn map of the Yellow Kingdom. "The element of surprise is our greatest weapon," Li said, his finger tracing the path they would take. "Our forces will divide. I'll lead 150 warriors to infiltrate the rear, while you, Karo, will command 350 warriors to attack from the front. Remember, we strike hard and fast, leaving no time for them to organize a defense."

Karo nodded, his expression grim. "Understood, my lord. But what if reinforcements from their main army arrive?"

"We'll worry about that when it happens," Li replied. "For now, focus on taking the kingdom. If we succeed, we'll cut off the Yellow Clan's resources and weaken their morale."

The soldiers, divided into their respective groups, moved out under the cover of darkness. The march was long, the air thick with the scent of impending battle. The 150 warriors under Li's command moved silently, their steps muffled by the forest floor. At the same time, Karo led his larger force along the main road, keeping their torches dimmed to avoid detection.

As they approached the kingdom, the faint glow of torches on the walls came into view. The Yellow Clan's guards patrolled the perimeter, their movements seemingly routine. Li signaled for his group to halt. He crouched low, his eyes scanning the area for any sign of weakness in the kingdom's defenses.

"There," he whispered, pointing to a section of the wall that appeared less guarded. "We'll scale the wall and take them by surprise. Karo's group will create a diversion at the front, drawing their attention."

The warriors nodded, their grips tightening on their weapons. They waited in silence, the minutes stretching into what felt like hours, until the first volley of flaming arrows soared through the night sky from Karo's group. The arrows hit their mark, igniting wooden structures within the kingdom. Chaos erupted as the Yellow Clan's guards shouted alarms and scrambled to douse the flames.

Using the distraction, Li and his warriors scaled the wall with ropes and grappling hooks. The climb was treacherous, but they moved with the precision of seasoned soldiers. Once at the top, they quickly dispatched the unsuspecting guards, their movements swift and deadly.

Li led his group into the heart of the kingdom, cutting down any resistance they encountered. The sounds of battle echoed through the streets—clashing swords, the thud of arrows hitting targets, and the anguished cries of the wounded. Buildings burned, their flames illuminating the chaos below.

Meanwhile, at the front gate, Karo's forces clashed with the bulk of the Yellow Clan's defenders. The battle was fierce, with neither side willing to give an inch. Warriors fell on both sides, their blood soaking the ground. But Karo's strategy of relentless pressure began to take its toll. The Yellow Clan's defenders, overwhelmed and disorganized, started to falter.

Inside the kingdom, Li and his warriors pressed forward, cutting a path toward the main hall where King Thunder was believed to be. The air was thick with smoke, and the acrid smell of burning wood stung their eyes. They moved like shadows, their swords gleaming in the firelight.

Finally, they reached the main hall. The doors were barred from the inside, but Li's warriors smashed through them with brute force. Inside, they found King Thunder surrounded by his remaining guards. The king, a towering figure with a fierce presence, drew his sword and prepared to fight.

"Your reign ends tonight, Thunder!" Li shouted, his voice echoing through the hall.

King Thunder sneered. "You think you can take my kingdom so easily? You'll regret underestimating the Yellow Clan!"

The final battle was brutal. Li faced King Thunder in single combat, their swords clashing with a deafening clang. Thunder was a formidable opponent, his strikes powerful and precise. But Li's training and determination gave him the edge. With a swift maneuver, he disarmed the king and delivered the final blow, severing his head from his shoulders.

The sight of their fallen king broke the spirit of the remaining Yellow Clan defenders. Those who hadn't been killed surrendered, dropping their weapons and falling to their knees. Li's warriors secured the prisoners and began clearing the battlefield.

As dawn broke, the full extent of the destruction became clear. The once-thriving kingdom lay in ruins, its buildings reduced to charred husks. General Karo approached Li, his armor stained with blood.

"My lord," Karo said, "we've counted our losses. Only 230 of our men remain, but we've taken 100 prisoners. What should we do with them?"

Li considered the question carefully. "Give them a choice," he said finally. "Join our ranks and fight for the Maelula Empire, or face death. Those who choose loyalty will be spared."

The prisoners were gathered and presented with their options. Most chose to join Li's army, their fear of death outweighing their loyalty to the Yellow Clan. The remaining few were executed swiftly, their bodies added to the pyres that burned throughout the night.

As the warriors celebrated their hard-won victory, Li stood on the kingdom's highest tower, gazing out at the horizon. He knew this was only the beginning. The Yellow Clan's main army would learn of their defeat soon, and retaliation was inevitable. But for now, the Maelula Empire had proven its strength. They had taken their first step toward domination.

"We rebuild here," Li said to Karo. "This kingdom is ours now. Fortify the defenses and prepare for the battles to come."

The celebration continued into the night, the warriors toasting their victory with food and wine. But even as they laughed and sang, Li's mind remained focused on the challenges ahead. Victory was sweet, but war was far from over.
