The world since COVID- 19 has changed.
As the world started getting back on their feet after the epidemic ended, people began experiencing changes behaviorally and emotionally.
Hospitals started getting people coming in with aggressive behaviours, heightened emotions, headaches and various anomalies affecting their psyche.
Scientists around the world decided to study this phenomenon and what they came up with was completely unexpected. They began to realize that the people had undergone a severe change in their psyche thanks to the lockdown. Familial bonds began to grow exponentially and their brainwaves began to mimic certain traits such as :
1. Aggression
2. Protectiveness
3. Meekness
4. Submission
5. Dominance
7. Soothing Mechanism
They drew the conclusion that it was similar to BDSM but more along the lines of Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics where one person is the heart of the circle and the rest follow along with the pack heart and pack head. Thus, they began to classify people into designations :
1. Dominants
2. Soothers
3. Submissives
Dominants were at the top of the food chain with instincts of being the head of the family, the provider and caretaker. Submissives were second on the food chain as the heart of the pack with traits for caring, the decision maker and general wellbeing. Soothers are the rest of the population where they act like a beta and can be paired either with a Dominant or Submissive. Submissives need the Dominants to help take care of their general wellbeing. Submissives go into a period of subspace where Dominants take control while Dominants experience a top drop where they need to be taken care of by their submissives or other dominants. Soothers help manage the overall wellbeing of the pack as well help out the Submissives and Dominants as and when needed.
Hence, came the idea for forming packs except in real life, it was messy and chaotic in the first two years it was implemented, the government stepped in and decided to create a system to help Submissives, Dominants and Soothers find there pack. Thus, came the birth of the Pack Matching Association aka PMA in short. All the above designations are assigned a handler each and they go through rigorous process of matching pack. It involves a lot of interviews and matching scents or speed dating. But however, everyone never gets their happily ever after. Some need second chances. Hence, the PMA allows them to go through a further classified process where they can match with a pack that needs a specific requirement or type of person that need.
The PMA handles all the records of every single person.
However, this story is not your typical story of a submissive or dominant in finding their happily ever after. This is the story of a Soother finding their happily ever after after years of sadness, pain and sacrifice. This is a story of how familial bonds are important in their life, reconnecting friendships and understanding that pack life is more than just a group of people existing. It is a way of life. This is also story for Soothers in finding their happy ever after
The PMA has helped a lot in making the matching process is a lot easier. But they are still hiccups as the system is still not perfect for as a lot of people are still not happy for the system controlling their choices.
