Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Angels’ Question

The Novel: The Beginning of Creation and the Secrets of Destiny

In a time when time did not exist, and a space boundless by borders, the Throne was surrounded by light, and the angels praised God with gratitude. The Creator fashioned the universe with balance and magnificence. Then, came a grand divine command.

---

Chapter One: The Angels' Question

One day, God Almighty announced in the highest heavens His intention to create a vicegerent on Earth. The news arrived in a solemn scene; the angels, who never disobey God's commands, asked with reverence and astonishment:

> "Will You place in it those who spread corruption and shed blood, while we glorify Your praises and sanctify You?"

Their question was not an objection but a curious inquiry stemming from prior knowledge God had endowed them with. The angels had witnessed before the existence of other creatures, such as the jinn, who inhabited the Earth, spread corruption, and spilled blood. They assumed that this new vicegerent would be the same. But God, with His infinite knowledge, replied:

> "Indeed, I know what you do not know."

---

Chapter Two: The Creation of Adam

God commanded the angels to collect soil from all parts of the Earth—a diverse soil with various colors, textures, and characteristics. This diversity carried a profound wisdom: God intended Adam and his descendants to reflect the Earth's diversity, producing those who are white and black, soft and hard, kind and cruel.

The soil was shaped by God's hands, and He breathed His spirit into it, making Adam an honored being, gifted with intellect and knowledge.

Chapter Three: The First Breath and the First Test

When God breathed life into Adam, his body began to move gradually. Adam opened his eyes and began to learn. Then, God taught him the names of all things—the names of objects and the creatures around him—to demonstrate his intellect to the angels.

In a magnificent assembly of knowledge, Adam stood before the angels, and God asked them:

> "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."

But they responded with complete humility:

> "Glory be to You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us."

Then God commanded Adam to inform them of all the names, showcasing his superiority in knowledge and his distinguished status.

Chapter Four: Iblis and the Refusal to Bow

Amidst this majestic scene, there was a being named Iblis, a jinn who had been elevated to the rank of angels because of his worship and piety.

However, when God commanded the angels to bow to Adam as a form of honor, not worship, Iblis was the only one who refused, arrogantly declaring:

> "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."

His refusal stemmed from pride and arrogance. Thus, God expelled him from His mercy and said:

> "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. And My curse is upon you until the Day of Recompense."

---

Chapter Five: Paradise and the First Test

God settled Adam in Paradise to live a good life. However, He created Eve from Adam's rib to be his companion. God instructed them not to approach a specific tree, as it was a test of their obedience.

Iblis, filled with envy and hatred, saw an opportunity for revenge. He whispered to them:

> "O Adam, shall I show you the tree of immortality and a kingdom that never decays?"

Adam and Eve succumbed to Iblis's temptation and ate from the tree. Immediately, their private parts were exposed, and they began to cover themselves with leaves from Paradise.

God gently reproached them but accepted their repentance. However, He decreed that they, along with Iblis, would descend to Earth to begin the eternal struggle between good and evil.

Chapter Six: The Divine Wisdom in Descending to Earth

Adam's descent to Earth was not a punishment but part of God's grand plan. Adam was created to be a vicegerent on Earth, to populate it with goodness and righteousness. He was to face the challenges of life and prove his obedience to God.

As for Iblis, he vowed to lead Adam's progeny astray, saying:

> "By Your might, I will surely mislead them all, except Your chosen servants among them."

Conclusion of Chapter One

Thus began the story of humanity—a tale filled with trials and challenges, where God gave mankind the opportunity to return to Him through goodness and obedience. It became each individual's responsibility to choose between the path of light and the path of darkness.

> "So there will surely come to you guidance from Me, and whoever follows My guidance will neither fear nor grieve."

To the next chapter... The story of Cain and Abel.
