[Legacy of the Sword Sovereign]
As Lin Tian walked into the Blackwood Forest, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The forest was eerily quiet, with no signs of any spiritual beasts. The only sounds he could hear were the creaking of trees and the rustling of leaves.
Lin Tian's eyes scanned the surroundings, taking in the dense foliage and the vines that hung from the trees like ghostly fingers. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, and the atmosphere was oppressive and gloomy.
"This is weird," Lin Tian thought to himself. "I've been walking for a while now, and I haven't seen any signs of spiritual beasts. It's as if they're all hiding or something."
Lin Tian's instincts were on high alert, and he could feel a sense of unease building up inside him. He knew that the Blackwood Forest was supposed to be a place of great danger, where even powerful cultivators dared not tread.
"So where are all the spiritual beasts?" Lin Tian wondered, his eyes scanning the surroundings nervously. "And what's with this creepy atmosphere? It's like something's watching me..."
Here is the continuation:
As Lin Tian walked deeper into the forest, he noticed that the air and qi around him seemed to be pulled by something. He concentrated his senses, trying to pinpoint the source of the disturbance.
"I'll follow the qi and see where it leads," Lin Tian thought to himself.
He started running towards the direction of the qi, his feet pounding against the earth. The trees seemed to blur around him as he gained speed.
As he ran, the qi grew stronger, pulling him towards a massive cave entrance. Lin Tian's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the enormous cave.
"What the...?" Lin Tian muttered to himself, his eyes scanning the entrance of the cave.
The cave was like an ancient ruin, with intricate sword patterns engraved on the walls. The entrance was huge, at least a hundred feet tall.
Lin Tian's mind was reeling with questions. "Why have I never heard of this cave before? It's like it's been hidden here all along."
He approached the entrance of the cave cautiously, his senses on high alert. As he stepped inside, the system notification sounded.
"Ding! Mission: Inherit the Legacy left behind by the Sword Sovereign."
Lin Tian's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the system notification. "What the...? Inheritance?!"
He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. "I don't remember any of the disciples or elders talking about this back in the Heavenly Sword Sect. It's like it never existed before... and now it seems like it appeared out of nowhere."
Lin Tian stood there, thinking about what to do next. "Should I explore this cave? And what about the system mission? Inheritance? Should I go look for it?"
He hesitated, weighing the risks. "But it might be quite dangerous. I don't know anything about this legacy or cave. Never heard of it. And all the spiritual beasts around seem to be missing. I don't see a single one."
After thinking for a while, Lin Tian muttered to himself, "Well, fuck it. Let's just go and explore and inherit this so-called legacy... whatever was the name... Sword God? Or... Ah, I forgot. Wait, let me check the system."
He checked the system, and his eyes scanned the information. "Ah, Sword Sovereign. I forgot."
With that, Lin Tian steeled himself and stepped further into the cave,
As Lin Tian walked further into the cave, he couldn't help but wonder and feel shocked. The qi here was incredibly thick, and the density of qi was far better than the Precious Holy Cave back in the Heavenly Sword Sect. The Precious Holy Cave was a sacred place where all the direct disciples and top geniuses of the sect cultivated, and yet, the qi here in the cave surpassed it.
As Lin Tian walked deeper into the cave, the qi only grew denser, enveloping him in its richness. He could feel his own qi responding to the energy around him, and his cultivation seemed to be absorbing the qi at an incredible rate. Lin Tian's eyes widened in amazement as he continued to walk further into the cave, eager to see what other secrets it held.
As Lin Tian walked deeper into the cave, he suddenly halted, his eyes fixed on a scene before him. In front of him were five spiritual beasts, their bodies tense and their eyes blazing with fury. They seemed to be completely unaware of Lin Tian's presence, too caught up in their own battle.
The beasts were enormous, each one radiating an aura of power and ferocity. There was a giant tiger with stripes of golden light, a massive bear with fur as black as coal, a giant serpent with scales that shone like polished jade, a basilisk with eyes that glowed like embers, and a wolf with eyes that shone like the stars on a clear night.
The beasts were fighting amongst themselves, their claws and teeth flashing in the dim light of the cave. Lin Tian watched in amazement, wondering why they were fighting each other.
As he watched, his eyes noticed something shiny - a white object lying on the ground behind the beasts. "Hm? What's that?" Lin Tian muttered to himself, his curiosity piqued.
He narrowed his eyes, studying the object. "Are they fighting over that?" he wondered, his mind racing with possibilities.
As Lin Tian continued to watch the battle between the spiritual beasts, he noticed that their cultivation was all at the Foundation Building stage. The tiger, with its golden stripes, was at the peak of the Foundation Building stage, while the other beasts were at the mid and early stages.
Lin Tian thought to himself, "The tiger will surely win. Its cultivation is the strongest among them."
As he watched, he turned his attention to the shiny white object that the beasts were fighting over. He asked the system, "What's that shiny object in white that the beasts are fighting each other for?"
Lin Tian waited for a while, expecting the system to respond with some information about the object. But the system remained silent, leaving Lin Tian to wonder what the object could be and why it was so valuable to the spiritual beasts.
After a while, the system finally responded, "Ding! Scanning successful."
The system interface flickered to life, displaying the details of the shiny white object:
Name: Heaven's Tear

Grade: High-Grade Spiritual Stone
Description: A rare spiritual stone said to contain the essence of the heavens. It is rumored to have the power to enhance one's cultivation and grant immense spiritual energy.
Properties:
- Enhances cultivation speed
- Increases the purity of spiritual energy
- Grants resistance to spiritual attacks
Lin Tian's eyes widened as he read the information
Lin Tian was shocked. A spiritual stone that can increase one's cultivation and increase the purity of spiritual energy, and grants resistance to spiritual attacks? "Damn, what a luck! I never expect I'll get something like this," he thought to himself.
"I should get that and look for more while getting the inheritance. That spiritual stone should be helpful to Lian'er, that will increase her cultivation, and Lui Mei and Xiao Yue too," he thought, a plan forming in his mind.
"While I'll kill many spiritual beasts along the way, I'll get system points too. It's a win-win!" He couldn't contain his excitement, and a sinister laugh escaped his lips. "Hahahaha!" he laughed out loud, sounding like a demon reveling in his own good fortune.
While he was laughing like a mad dog, he suddenly realized he was laughing out so loud that he might have already alerted the beasts. Just as he turned back to see the battle, a long grin appeared on his face, saying out loud, "Just as I expected."
He looked in front and saw that the beasts had stopped fighting and were looking at him with rage and hatred in their red eyes.
