Authors note:
Let me first start by saying thank you to everyone who's read and provided feedback on the fic so far. Inconsistencies aside, I really enjoy this concept. Coupled with a story I enjoy and it's perfect.
The key won't be the blood zach drank of Bonnie's. But that they drank at the same time.
Really want to do this story justice. Forgive me for being a bit more selective in how and when I write. Ready to get introduced to Rebekah and Hayley. Two of my favorites in the show as well. Actually, I liked everyone in the show. Sue me.
I do hope you all enjoy the chapter.

I stopped myself and Bonnie from going further. Mainly because of what happened as a result of it.
I saw visions. It was like I was seeing through Bonnie's eyes.
I see her mom walking out on her family. The pain, loss, self blame, and confusion as to why mommy was leaving again.
Next in front of me is a place I recognize. The tomb. Laying on the ground is Shelia Bennett. I feel the anger at the vampires for causing this.
Lastly I see…. Myself. It was sudden. Dark until I saw my own luminous red eyes staring back at me.
As I come out of the visions that assaulted my mind I see Bonnie is still engrossed in her own. Her eyes pure white.
I decide to get her home. She's clearly been through a lot tonight from what I remember. Worst is her best friend tried to kill her. This is what was wrong with people like Elena. They seem to think the entire world spins according to their will.
Granted, it was annoying when in tv show form. But seeing it in real life is an entire different level of annoyance. That's another reason I'll always stay clear of her. She invited drama. Issues. Something I don't want right now.
Arriving in front of Bonnie's door I'm about to knock when I decide agaisnt it. I'm not a father, but the idea of my daughter coming home in the state she's in on prom night is something I'd rather not face. Werewolf or not.
I'm able to climb into her window. Right before I set her down on the bed she gasps and I see her eyes return to the normal human Forrest green.
She seems a little tired. After kissing her earlier I decided to be a bit bold. I plant my lips onto her forehead and speak softly.
"Forgive me Bonnie. I wish I could stay. But I'd rather stay away from Rudy's wrath.
I'm awarded a small giggle. She hugs onto me tightly. Still in her dress I feel our skin connect. I begin doing the same thing I did when we met. Took away her pain.
Unlike last time however, this was excruciating. Like fiberglass was running through my bloodstream. While I was in agony I felt Bonnie relax.
She was almost alseep. But my highly sensitive ears still caught the whisper on her breath, "I'm so happy to see you."
I stopped at that. Frozen to the bed beside the powerful witch with far too much on her shoulders.
I may be a killer now. Hell I've killed more vampires than I care to count and a handful of awful humans. But seeing Bonnie so relaxed around someone as dangerous as me, hearing her voice… it all feels different.
My immortal heart beat kicks up for the first time since I died about a year ago to the vampire ambush. I don't have the heart to tell her I won't be here long. In truth one part of me wants to run away with Bonnie. To use her magic and my abilities to buy an island and live freely.
But I know her. She won't leave her friends and I can't be beholden to Elena Gilbert.
I look at Bonnie one last time beside the window. Thinking that I may not see her again. There's no reason I can think of to come back to mystic falls once the originals arrive in New Orleans.
"I'm happy to see you too, Bonnie." I whisper back and disappear. Not seeing the green eyes open and look at the window in sadness.

15 minutes later
I arrive back at the Mikealson Mansion. I know the originals don't need sleep. So Elijah should be awake. Plotting no doubt.
I arrive and see my bike still there. Thank goodness. Bonnie's need to be held earlier pretty much eliminated the bike as an option.
I knock on the door an await the servant. What I didn't expect was the original hybrid to open the door.

Klaus
I had returned home after a bit of revelry. Freshly compelled sorority girls are none the wiser and I'm full.
I'd only just arrive and was about to begin preparations for my departure to New Orleans to root out the Deveraux witches and inflict pain. I've grown weary of witches even more since my mothers latest attempt to try to destroy us once and for all. Even turning the history teacher into an original.
I'm broken from my thoughts by a knock at the door. I decide to get it since the servant is away. Opening the door I'm again met with the past. Zach steel.
I'm about to burst forward to continue our fight when I sense Elijah appear, "Niklaus, do not do what I know you're about to." I growl. I still haven't told Elijah just how much I think Zach favors Henrik.
Zach looks past me, "Ah, Elijah! Forgive me for my leaving earlier at the apex of our discussion. As you saw, the situation was rather volitile."

Zach
I see Elijah smile at my comment. "Yes indeed. Witches, especially Bennett witches are not to be trifled with."
I nod. Then look back at Klaus, "perhaps you'd like to join us. I can assure you what I have to say is rather…. Interesting."
I see the gold flash in his eyes and my own crimson return the gesture. Elijah speaks for his brother. "Yes he would. Come. Tell me about your time in New Orleans."
At that name I see klaus' ears literally poke up like a dogs. I reign in my chuckle before it can escape my chest and cough while walking up the stairs toward he study in the house.
Sitting down I feel deja vu hit me. Aside from Klaus. After getting everyone a drink I begin speaking.
"Ah, that's good." I say enjoying the bourbon. "Okay. I haven't been in the city long. But this is what I know…" I began my tell leaving out some things. Such as the vampire kings name. The fact he has a super powered witch with him. And the fact that the werewolves have been wiped out of the quarter.

Klaus
I'm still in a daze hearing the things Zach speaks of. Witches and werewolves all subjugated by the 'vampire king'.
"What's this vampires name?" I ask the wolf.
He shrugs. "No idea." When I'm about to admonish him he continues. "It doesn't matter to me. One bite kills a vampire in a few hours. No matter how old they are." He says.
That's true. The more time I spend with this wolf the more I want to see. He's the only wolf I've ever known sans myself to be able to control his beast at will.
Finally after some more discussions, Zach stood up. "I appreciate the bourbon." He says walking out.
I look to Elijah. "Looks like New Orleans is a far more tangled web than we'd imagined.

Next chapter is the mikaelsons arrival in New Orleans. I'm giddy. My breaks tomorrow are going to be watching the episode and preparing my chapter.
