Carrying Khaos in his arms was a middle aged man (300-500 years) with long blonde hair and a grey beard. He had yellow eyes and brown skin with a flat nose, which made him much less handsome than he could have been.
The man used the wind element to fly upwards before suddenly dropping Khaos, who immediately began to panic. However, just a spit second later, he hit something that felt like the ground, but he knew it couldn't be since they were about 500 meters in the air.
Khaos stood up with great difficulty, to notice that he was standing among a group of people. Most of them had wounds on their bodies and some were covered in blood, with their clothes partly destroyed.
They looked pretty much like how Khaos himself looked.
It did not take long for Khaos to regain his bearings and stand up straight. He, as well as about 60 citizens of Lator, where standing atop a large disk of earth, 50 meters in diameter. Khaos looked over to the middle of the slab of earth and saw a woman sitting there.
She stood out because no one dared stand 10 meters close to her, they all huddled at the sides of the earth disk. Also her clothes were not tattered and not a single drop of blood was on her body.
She had long brown hair and pale skin while she donned long black robes. The robes covered her whole body and they had a white emblem at the back. The emblem was of a scroll which was surrounded by eleven circles, all of different colour.
The Black Academy' Khaos thought after recognising the uniform.'She is probably the one keeping this piece of earth floating.....'. Then a loud explosion took his attention away from the woman, to the ground.
From his position, Khaos only saw a dust cloud rising from the direction of Lator city. Limping towards the end of the slab of earth, what he saw defied all logic.
The city of Lator was completely destroyed, all the buildings close to his old home had been ground to dust. Only the debris closer to the core of the city was still recognisable as actual building remains.
Even the once imposing City Hall at the middle of the city was in ruins.
Khaos saw over 20 people wearing the uniform of the Black Academy practically laying waste to the monsters still in the city. The Dark Dish had stopped spewing out beasts, but there were still over 50 of them in the former city.
The Cultivators from the Black Academy battled these monsters, not exactly with ease, but with practiced difficulty. It was clear to Khaos that they had experience. Their teamwork was also quite impressive that their inferior numbers did not affect their efficiency.
Khaos also noticed some explosions outside Lator's borders and deduced that their saviours also chased down the beasts which had begun moving away from the city. However, this was not what defied logic in Khaos' eyes, because right at the spot were his old house was, a beast and a human were locked in combat.
This was the biggest beast Khaos had ever seen in his entire 135 years of life. It stood on two legs, and had two arms coming out it's shoulders, then another pair of arms came out from the sides of it's torso, just under the top pair.
It's body was covered in purple hairs with white on its neck and stomach area. It's face was similar to a humans' with round black eyes and lips, but instead of a nose, there were only two holes just above it's mouth. And last, but not least, the beast was a whooping 200 meters tall.
The beast was surprising and awe worthy, but it still was not what broke common logic. The absolute impossibility was the beast's opponent.
The human was wearing a black iron armour which matched with his long black hair, while it contrasted his pale white skin. Oh and he was about 250 meters tall.
Khaos rubbed his eyes a couple times as the other citizens on the earth slab also noticed the gigantic human. 'Is that even a human? How is he that big?, Maybe it's magic, but what elements is that?'. Khaos asked and failed to answer himself.
The giant human and the beast seemed to be equally matched in terms of raw strength and speed, however the beast had double the amount of arms, so it had an obvious advantage. Also for some reason, the human did not use any elemental attacks, the fight was purely physical.
The human was losing the fight, but Khaos, as well as the other citizens were too amazed and stupefied by his size to worry about his actual life.
"How is that possible?" Khaos asked himself for the hundredth time, but this time he mistakenly said it out loud.
"The Rank Three Law of Supreme Size", the woman from the Black Academy suddenly said as she walked towards the edge. The citizens of Lator giving her a large girth, except for Khaos.
The woman stood beside Khaos as she watched the fight, unlike the other people on her disk of earth, she cared more about her colleague's life rather than his abilities.
"Law?, what is that. Is it an element?" Khaos asked, however the woman ignored him as she slowly began rising into the air with narrowed eyes. The fight was reaching it's climax and the human had received some injuries which could could easily become life threatening.
If i leave, most of these people will fall to their death', she thought. 'But the life of a Defender is worth more than 64 civilians'.
Thankfully though, before she flew to the giant man's rescue, another human appeared and began blasting the beast with fireballs.
With the added distraction, the giant human gained the upper hand, and the woman sighed in relief as she landed beside Khaos.
"No it is not an element, if you join an academy in the future, you will learn about them", she answered Khaos' question before going back to sit in the middle of the earth disk.
