Chereads / My Angel Girl / Chapter 126 - Meteor Strike!

Chapter 126 - Meteor Strike!

In the grand hall of the infernal castle, the air was tense. Yumi and Akuma, barely a month into their marriage, were at each other's throats—metaphorically, of course.

"You're impossible to talk to!" Yumi shouted, throwing her hands up.

"Oh yeah? Well, you're too stubborn to listen!" Akuma fired back, his arms crossed, his fiery eyes matching hers.

Meanwhile, in the corner of the room, Kikidori reclined on a luxurious infernal armchair, sipping from a goblet. Ere'ana was nearby, rocking Kael in her arms, doing her best to ignore the chaos.

"Do they ever shut up?" Kikidori muttered, raising an eyebrow at Ere'ana.

She gave him a sharp look. "Maybe if you actually stepped in as her father instead of just making sarcastic remarks."

Before Kikidori could respond, Kael wriggled out of Ere'ana's grasp with surprising agility.

"Kael, wait—!" Ere'ana called, but it was too late. Kael had toddled to the middle of the room, his tiny wings flapping.

Yumi turned mid-argument, her expression softening as she saw her little brother. "Kael? What are you—"

And then it happened.

Kael flapped his wings harder, determination etched on his small face. His mismatched halos glowed faintly as he lifted off the ground. For half a second—no, 0.5 nanoseconds to be exact—Kael soared through the air like a fledgling angel.

But gravity was cruel.

Kael came tumbling down, and of all the places to land, his trajectory aimed straight for Kikidori.

"Shit!" Kikidori's exclamation echoed through the room as Kael's head—with its unholy combination of a heavenly and infernal halo—collided directly with his groin.

The impact was monumental. Kikidori's goblet went flying as he doubled over, groaning in pain. "Oh, FUCK!"

Kael, oblivious to the chaos he caused, giggled as he rolled off Kikidori's lap and onto the floor. Yumi and Akuma stood frozen for a moment before Yumi burst into laughter.

"Dad, you okay?" she managed to ask between fits of giggles.

"No, I'm not fucking okay!" Kikidori wheezed, clutching himself. "That kid's head is harder than Ere'ana's stubbornness!"

Ere'ana shot him a glare, scooping up Kael. "He's just a baby, Kikidori. And maybe if you didn't sit there like a lazy ass—"

"Don't start with me!" Kikidori snapped, though his voice was higher-pitched than usual due to the pain.

Akuma, trying to stifle his laughter, stepped forward. "You gotta admit, it was kinda funny."

Yumi grinned, crossing her arms. "Yeah, Dad. Maybe Kael just wanted to shut you up for once."

"Oh, you're real funny," Kikidori grumbled, still wincing.

As the chaos died down, Ere'ana sighed, cradling Kael. "He's too young to be flying around like that. We'll need to keep a closer eye on him."

"Or get him a helmet," Kikidori muttered.

Yumi smirked. "I don't think a helmet would've saved you, Dad."

And with that, the tension from the earlier argument dissolved, replaced by a bizarre family memory that none of them would forget anytime soon.
