The tension in the air was almost unbearable as Ere'ana led her family through the gleaming streets of Heaven. It was Christmas, and she had one more thing on her holiday checklist: getting Kikidori to meet Jesus. Of course, Kikidori would rather stick a fork in his eye than do anything of the sort, but here he was, being dragged along through the pearly gates, much to his dismay.
Kikidori gritted his teeth as they walked through Heaven's holy halls. "This is seriously fucked up," he muttered under his breath. "Christmas with a side of judgmental angels and holy bullshit."
Ere'ana beamed at him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Come on, Kikidori. It's Christmas! You're gonna love it!"
He shot her a glare. "Yeah, right. You know I'm allergic to all this glowing light and purity."
Yumi, trailing behind with Kael in her arms, rolled her eyes. "Can't we just get this over with? I'm getting tired of all the fanfare."
"I'm so proud of you, Yumi," Ere'ana said, her voice full of angelic sweetness. "You're learning to embrace the holidays!"
Yumi snorted. "If by embrace, you mean tolerate with gritted teeth."
As they approached a grand, golden door, Ere'ana's wings fluttered with excitement. "Here we are. The room where Jesus is waiting!"
Kikidori stopped dead in his tracks. "Wait, *what?* Jesus? You want me to meet him? Oh, hell no."
But Ere'ana was already pushing the door open, and there, sitting calmly in the center of the room, was Jesus. The sight was almost surreal. He was surrounded by a warm, golden glow, and his eyes held an unfathomable calmness, like he understood the entire universe. He was exactly as everyone described: a figure of peace, grace, and serenity.
Kikidori couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable. "This is so fucking awkward."
"Jesus," Ere'ana said softly, bowing her head respectfully. "I brought my family to meet you. It's Christmas, after all."
Jesus smiled warmly, his voice soothing. "Welcome, Ere'ana. And family, it's good to see you too." He glanced at Kikidori, who was fidgeting, clearly not in his element. "And you must be Kikidori. I've heard much about you."
Kikidori's eye twitched. "Great, the big guy's heard about me. Now I'm really uncomfortable."
Ere'ana chuckled softly, but her joy was short-lived as she noticed the Powers lurking in the background, watching Kikidori and Yumi with unsettling intensity.
"Is something wrong?" Ere'ana asked, her tone suddenly sharp as she noticed the shift in the room.
Jesus' smile never faltered, but his gaze hardened slightly. "The Powers are... curious. They are concerned about the balance between light and dark, especially when it comes to the offspring of Heaven and Hell." He paused, letting that information sink in.
Yumi tensed. "Oh, great, now we have a fucking crowd watching us."
The Powers, a group of celestial beings whose sole purpose was to maintain the balance of the universe, were eyeing Kikidori and Yumi with obvious distrust. They were fully aware of the demon in Kikidori's blood, and the fact that Yumi was a full demon didn't sit well with them. If they had their way, they would eliminate such a threat to Heaven's purity.
Ere'ana could sense the tension rising. "They're not going to do anything, are they?"
Jesus stood up and stepped forward, his presence calming the air. "No, Ere'ana. They will not harm your family while they are with you." His eyes flickered to the Powers, who reluctantly stepped back, though they still watched closely.
Kikidori crossed his arms, glaring at the Powers. "You think you can just walk around and decide who lives and who dies, huh?"
Yumi glared right back, her eyes glowing faintly red. "Maybe you should mind your business, you overblown angels."
The Powers didn't respond, but their unsettling silence spoke volumes.
After a few moments, Ere'ana, sensing the discomfort, decided it was time to leave. "We'll go now. Thank you for your time, Jesus."
Jesus nodded, his serene expression never wavering. "Go in peace, Ere'ana. Merry Christmas."
As they left the room, Kikidori muttered under his breath, "Merry fucking Christmas. I'm out of here."
But as they stepped into the hallway, Kikidori's anger bubbled to the surface. The thought of Heaven's higher-ups eyeing his family made his blood boil. So, without warning, he turned and shouted toward Heaven's gates.
"FUCK YOU, GOD!" Kikidori bellowed, his voice echoing through the halls.
Ere'ana froze, her wings stiffening in surprise. "Kikidori, what are you—"
But it was too late. The moment Kikidori's curse left his lips, the Powers, Archangels, and every divine entity who protected Heaven descended upon him. They weren't happy, not one bit.
The sound of wings flapping and celestial beings converging on them was deafening. "Kikidori!" Ere'ana shouted, her eyes wide. "What the hell did you do?"
Yumi smirked. "Well, at least it's not *boring* anymore."
Kikidori stood tall, grinning. "You want to come at me? Bring it on. I've been through worse." He flexed his hands, ready for a fight, his demon side waking up as the Powers began to surround them.
But Ere'ana, realizing the danger her family was in, quickly grabbed Kael and flew upward, trying to shield him from the impending chaos. "Kikidori, stop this right now!"
Kikidori smirked, unfazed. "No way. I like being pursued." He turned on his heel and began to fly toward the drop-off, the Powers hot on his heels.
"Let's see how fast you angels can catch me!" he yelled, darting off into the sky.
The pursuit was fast and furious, the Powers chasing him relentlessly. But Kikidori was faster. He laughed in the face of danger, weaving through the heavens with ease. His wings cut through the air, and the Powers struggled to keep up.
Ere'ana and Yumi followed, desperately trying to keep up with the chaos. Kael was crying in Ere'ana's arms as they flew downward, toward the familiar drop-off that led back to Hell.
The battle between Heaven's finest and the most powerful demon was intense. Kikidori dove, twisted, and turned through the clouds, mocking his pursuers every chance he got. He loved the adrenaline, the rush of being chased.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Kikidori landed in Hell, panting but exhilarated. The Powers pulled up just short of the drop-off, their frustration palpable. They couldn't follow him into Hell.
"Yeah, that's right," Kikidori shouted from the ground, his grin wide. "You can't catch me!"
Ere'ana and Yumi landed beside him, Kael still wailing in Ere'ana's arms.
"Happy now?" Ere'ana asked, her voice tinged with concern.
Kikidori laughed, feeling alive. "Hell yeah. That was fun as hell."
Yumi rolled her eyes. "You're impossible."
Ere'ana just sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Kikidori, you're going to be the death of me."
But despite the chaos, she couldn't help but smile. After all, it was Christmas, and nothing, not even the Powers, could ruin the holiday for her family.
