Chapter 16 - The Final Note

A month after the festival, life at school settled into a familiar rhythm. Yet for Ji-eun, everything felt new. She no longer worried about what people thought of her, and her friendships with Mia, Hyun-joo, and Ji-hoon grew stronger every day.

The buzz from the festival hadn't died down either. The video of BTS performing had gone viral, and students joked that their school had become the "coolest school in Seoul." Ji-hoon, of course, was still the hero of the event, but he never let the attention get to his head.

One afternoon, Ji-eun sat under the cherry blossom tree in the schoolyard, her sketchbook open on her lap. She had started drawing again, a hobby she had abandoned during her struggles. Now, her pages were filled with vibrant colors and bold strokes, reflecting the happiness she felt inside.

"Drawing again?" Ji-hoon asked, appearing beside her.

Ji-eun looked up, smiling. "Yeah, it feels good to create something."

Ji-hoon sat down next to her, watching as she added the finishing touches to her sketch. It was a picture of their group at the festival, surrounded by stars and fairy lights.

"It's beautiful," Ji-hoon said softly. "Just like you."

Ji-eun laughed, nudging him playfully. "You're getting good at saying cheesy lines."

He grinned. "Only because they're true."

As the school year drew to a close, Ji-eun felt a mix of emotions. She was grateful for how far she had come but also nervous about what lay ahead. However, with Ji-hoon by her side, she knew she could face anything.

During the graduation ceremony, Ji-eun received a special award for her contributions to the school festival. As she stood on stage, accepting her certificate, she felt an overwhelming sense of pride.

After the ceremony, Ji-hoon pulled her aside. "I have something for you," he said, handing her a small box.

Ji-eun opened it to find a silver bracelet engraved with the words Be true to yourself. Tears filled her eyes as she looked up at Ji-hoon.

"Thank you," she whispered. "For everything."

Ji-hoon smiled, pulling her into a hug. "You don't have to thank me. You're the one who found the strength to be yourself."

As the sun set on their final day of school, Ji-eun felt a sense of peace. Her journey had been anything but easy, but it had shaped her into the person she was meant to be.

This wasn't the end of her story—just the beginning of a new chapter. And this time, Ji-eun was ready to embrace it with an open heart.
