CHAPTER 14
At the security station, Alika saw the man who was half a head shorter than she was. He seemed to have driven a car over as he held in his hand a car key. The villa in which Leonardo lived was approximately sixteen kilometers away from the security station; which means that Leonardo had walked such a long distance before he encountered Alika's dog.
She couldn't help but observe his stern expression when he talked to the security.
"Master Graham wasn't pleased about this incident. Next time, it wouldn't be so pleasant."
Master Graham? He worked for the Grahams?- Alika was astound. It's no wonder the security showed so much humility as he spoke.
Solace caught sight of Alika and quickly jaunted to her side, its furry body rubbing against her bare legs as she wore a pair of shorts and a hoodie. Fabian turned around, following the dog's movement until his eyes landed on Alika.
Woah! - Was this woman a mortal or a goddess?
Judging by the closeness with the dog, he could tell that she was the owner. "Please make sure to be more careful next time." He said as if lecturing her. Fabian always loved perfection and little errors a person would make naturally irritated him. He couldn't scold Alika because to him, she was a stranger. After those words, he left leaving Alika's appreciation to herself.
Alika: "??"

Back at Glow Field manor, Hasina kept pacing around the hallway feeling restless. If the Old Madame found out about this, she would definitely fire her on the spot. That woman had such a strong personality and was very difficult to please.
The sound of the gate opening made her rush out and to her surprise, Solace had returned with Alika.
"Thank goodness! Where did you find him?" She enquired.
"He was with the Grahams." Alika's response left Hasina awestruck.
"The Grahams? How did he end up at their villa?" Alika had no answer to this question because even she didn't know how; and since that man was so distant, she couldn't ask him that. She ended up shrugging her shoulders.

Maurice Langston kept questioning the servants about Alika's whereabouts. He had returned from a short vacation with Fiona for their second anniversary and found that Alika no longer lived in the mansion.
"What do you mean you 'have no idea'!! Were all of you not assigned to keep a close eye on her?!" Not only was he furious that she had left but also because he had seen the handprint from the slap which she gave to Giovanna.
He was all red and breathing heavily from the rage and frustration he felt. He glanced at Giovanna again with a pang of guilt. She was the obedient daughter and would do anything for her; even slap his oldest daughter in the face to get even.
He tried calling Alika severally but as if Alika had guessed that this would happen, she had instantly turned off her phone when she got home with Solace.
"Just let it be for now... You can scold her later. Think about your health." Fiona said with a coquettish voice which she knew always soothed him whenever he was in a fit of rage. As predicted, it worked.
"Don't worry, Giovanna. Alika will get it from me in the morning. Go to bed." He comforted Giovanna and as expected, Giovanna did not throw a tantrum and went up to her room to sleep- but as soon as she got there, her facade disappeared. Giovanna's obedient look turned into a demonic one. She simultaneously thought that when she saw Alika, she would give her a taste of her own medicine.
