The man with the pink hair sighed softly and grinned, "Let us not do this. You seem like a reasonable young girl." He said.
As she reached for the bag containing the poison knives, Ivy kept humming.
He said, "I tried to warn you," as his pink hair and eyes both started to glow. Ivy was sent flying a few spaces back when he instantly blasted an explosive pink fire ball.
The attack seemed to surprise and hurt Ivy to which she instantly became invisible.
The pink hair man said as he turned around to look for her, "If this goes on for too long, that Axel guy will hear us. I will make this quick."
Right away, Ivy throws two knives at him, striking his chest. The man could not react quickly because he was too distracted by the knives.
He was slashed across the stomach by Ivy, leaving a noticeable mark claw mark with blood dripping on the grass.
He envelops himself in a ball of flame to shield himself from additional danger, "Try dodging this!" The man said before causing any wide spread explosion that caught Ivy.
Causing her to fly back and landing hard on the ground.
"Huh, and here I thought you would be tougher than you look," said the man who approached Ivy after the explosion and discovered her lying on the ground, fully unconscious.
He placed her over his shoulder after sprouting a pair of red wings.
Immediately he took off, and head towards his hideout north from Neverport. His hideout was located in a grove that was once inhabitant by druids.
Although the area still had a lush setting, there is still a chance of danger. This helps to keep other people safe from dangerous man-eating plants.
He flew for a brief moment before landing on the ground and making his way to a wooden door in a cave. He put on a ring with gearwork magic. Then drew a symbol on the door before opening it and coughing.
Once inside, he found himself in the Lost Brotherhood's underground city. The city was constructed from stone and employed gearwork technology to establish a higher level of civilization. Deep inside a crater, everything was concealed.
The buildings had a mineshaft as the transport station and were of an old-modern style. The streets are watched by numerous gear machines.
The city was populated by three groups of people.
Human who were apart of the Lost Brotherhood. The majority are mercenaries, criminals, and refugees.
The original residents of this city were the Gearwork people. They are humanoids with metallic body parts who use technology to create artificial life. They are currently among the ten most technologically advanced societies on the planet.
And lastly, a race of humanoid spiders known as the Widowmakers, who protect and guard the city. There are innumerable steel webs at the crater's summit for anyone who dares to jump down.
A metallic silver woman approached the man, asking, "Jay, who is that woman?"
Jay said, "Put her in the cell and make sure she chains," tossing Ivy by the metallic girl's feet, "I need to talk with Pi." He grip his stomach tightly to stop the blood from flying.
The girl picks Ivy up gently and asks, "What is going on? Is she part of King Kurtis spies?" She asked.
Just as Jay was ready to take off, he started coughing violently and even gripped his chest, "Jay, what is wrong? "Seeing the scar on his stomach, the girl puts her hand on his back.
Jay spouts his wings and pays no attention to her. He flew in the direction of a large stone structure used to make Hax.
To everyone else, it appears to look like a normal bounty guild. Inside everyone mind their own business and take a job which they could handle.
Jay entered the building, where no cared about what happen to him. They only cared about the story of success.
He proceeded to the basement, where he mets up with Pi carefully brewing the enhancer.
Pi was man who was in charge of everyone in this station. A tall man with tattoo of important people he has killed crossed out.
"Yes Jay, do you have something to report?" He asked, keeping his attention on the item.
Jay gripped his chest and walked to the closest chair, saying, "You know what, I was at Neverport. King Kurtis made a deal with them." as he begun to bandaged his stomach.
After finishing his task, Pi unbothey said, "Jay, it is a village; if necessary, burn it down. Remind yourself that those who choose to condone this unending slaughter must be put to death." He was on the verge of mixing the chemicals.
"One of their leaders killed four angels with ease. Besides, I think King Kurtis was terrified to death when the leader, Axel, returned. He brought magic to the village as well, and he will soon acquire more." Said Jay
Pi dropped a vial on the floor after hearing all of that, and he was motionless, saying, "He is alive." Quietly, he murmured.
"I have a village girl as a hostage, so do not freak out. So we can use her as negotiation tool for now." Pi moved slowly in the direction of a mirror with his golden crane leaning against the glass.
He stared at his burnt face for a few seconds before he said, "I saw a vision of my early years. The day before, I joined this heinous organisation. I was running in pain in a senseless direction. My sense of smell was obscured by the mixture of burnt flesh and blood. My vision was hazy. My voice was quiet. Pi lifted the crane and revealed a concealed blade.
Perplexed, Jay questioned, "What are you rambling on about?"
Using his metallic left arm, Pi brushes aside his black hair and says, "We have been friends for a long time, but I never really asked you this question...Do you think God intended for the prophet child to be a savior or a punisher?"
Jay coughed violently once more before stating, "You believe in that prophet child bullshit. Look man, even if there were humans that were born with magic flowing throughout their bodies and being a half race with another. Nobody is going to think of them as anything other than fortunate bastards born with power."
Pi approached Jay, using a golden metallic crane for support, and said, "I wish you were there, my friend. You would understand what happens when a child with the power to save millions is pushed into the darkness by those around him. We need to travel to Neverport."
With a sigh, Jay stood up and said, "I am not sure if you are being serious or just having a rough trip. But fine by me. The less issues we have with King Kurtis, the better."
(Meanwhile)
The metallic girl shackled Ivy. In cold and iron cell.
She pace back and forth while ranting, "It's never Silver how's your day or you look amazing today Silver. Ugghh, Jay you big jerk." As she continued to rant on about something.
Silver stop and looked at Ivy.
With her eyes closed and her body still, Silver remark, "This girl cannot possibly harm you. She looks harmless. Who thought those tattoos were a good idea? God she is ugly. You know you will look more attractive if you dress better. If you are lucky enough not to get captured by the angels. Maybe there's hope for you." But it was pointless.
After noticing that, Silver kept pacing back and forth.
But Ivy was not even unconscious. She was fully awake, simply listening to her being insulted. She was not happy.
She changed into a bat after waiting for her to leave the cell's line of sight. When the chain shackles hit the floor, Silver became alarmed and hurried back to Ivy's cell.
Ivy instantly became invisible and flew through the iron bars. Silver examines the cell and says, "Miss... Are you in there?" With her gaze fixed on the empty cell.
At that moment, she felt a sharp sensation against her sides. She panned over to the blade and saw Ivy, who was not pleased.
Her eyes and nose started to bleed, and Silver started to topple over.
Darkness replaced the blurriness.
Ivy took hold of her leg and pulled her into the cage. Ivy snatches the key from her and puts Silver in chains.
She gave her an enormous kick to the face before leaving.
