"My name is Ren Takashi"
"A normal boy who lives with his grandma"
"Now, that's normal, right?"
"Living with my grandmother because my parents left me to travel the world"
He nodded, attempting not to cry, a pitiful child is what he actually was.
"I'm actually facing a huge problem"
He looked to his side, and there was a beautiful lady with blonde hair and blue eyes.
She mumbled, "Ren... you mustn't eat rice alone..."
He covered his flushed face with both hands, "My teenage grandmother can't possibly be this cute!"
"..."
"My grandma who claims to be a 1,000 year old immortal is currently on my bed"
"..."
"Of course, I don't believe such nonsense, I mean who would?"
"I still find it hard to believe that her beauty never disappeared"
"Ren... eat more..." She mumbled with a chuckle.
"... Guess I'll get dressed..."
Ren tried to stand up but felt a tug at his arm.
"Huh?"
He looked down to see her pulling at his arm, holding it like if it was some stuffed animal.
["I'm stuck! Why won't she let go of my arm?!?"]
"...Ren… you mustn't eat that rice… it's spoiled…"
"Hah"
He gently poked her, "Granny, time to wake up"
His grandmother, Yumi Takashi, opened her eyes and sat up slowly.
She looked at Ren with a gentle smile, "Good morning, Ren"
"Granny, you said you would stop climbing onto my bed"
She chuckled, "You're such a grumpy boy in the morning"
He shook his head, "Because it's not normal, you know?"
Yumi chuckled again, "I'm your granny... it's absolutely normal, sweetheart"
"No, it's not!"
He jumped off his bed and pointed at her, "What kind of a grandmother looks this young?!?"
Yumi chuckled at his reaction and stood, crossing her arms together, "So it's about my looks again, huh?"
"Of course, it's a problem! I get weird looks from people we know!"
"Oh please, you act like the boys in your school don't constantly fawn over me when I come to pick you up after school"
Ren grumbled, "Ugh, that's why I tell you to wait in the car when you pick me up"
She smirked and got up to ruffle his hair, "But then I'd miss out on all the boys staring at me like you're doing right now"
Ren's face reddened as he stepped back, "H-huh?"
"Why are you so red, sweetheart?"
Yumi smirked as she walked a bit closer, her face mere inches from his.
"Are you jealous the boys are staring at me instead of you?"
Ren's heart raced as Yumi's face was mere inches from his own.
The proximity was making him feel flustered and confused.
He stuttered, "Jealous? W-why would I be jealous? That's... that's... ridiculous!"
"N-now get out of my room, I'm gonna be late for school"
Yumi stepped back, her smirk still on her face.
"Alright, alright. I know when I'm not wanted~"
She walked out of his room, but not before pausing at the doorway.
"Oh, and don't forget about that math test today, alright?"
Ren groaned, "Ugh, you just had to remind me"
She giggled as she left his room, closing the door behind her.
Ren let out a sigh and facepalmed, trying to calm his racing heart.
He kneeled, his hand spreading his hair back, his face still flushed with embarrassment.
"Why is my granny so cute?"
After a few moments, he collected himself and began getting ready for school.
He put on his uniform, grabbed his backpack, and headed to the kitchen where Yumi was waiting for him.
She looked up from her phone and smiled, "All ready for school, sweetie?"
Ren nodded, still a bit flustered from their earlier interaction, "Yeah, I just need to grab something to eat real quick"
He walked over to the counter and reached for a rice ball that Yumi had prepared for him.
Just as his fingers were about to grab the rice ball, she gently slapped his hand.
She scolded, "Aish, didn't I just tell you? You can't eat rice alone, it's bad luck!"
"... It's just a rice ball breakfast, what's wrong with that?"
Yumi sighed and crossed her arms, "It's not about the rice ball, sweetheart. It's about the principle"
"You don't eat rice alone. It's been a rule my generation grew up with, and now I'm passing it down to you"
["I forget she's older than she looks"]
"We wasted too much time arguing, I don't have time for a meal"
Yumi narrowed her eyes, "Oh no, you're not leaving this house until you eat a proper breakfast"
"You need to be at your best when you take that math test today"
She then smirked, "Or would you rather skip school and stay home with me all day?"
Ren's face flushed again. He stepped back, "Quit it with the j-jokes"
Yumi chuckled, thoroughly enjoying how cute her grandson looked when he got flustered.
She walked over to the table and sat down, gesturing for him to join her.
"Come sit, sweetie. I'm sure you have time to eat something small before school"
"I-if I agree to eat a meal, will you quit the jokes for today?"
She chuckled and nodded, "Of course, sweetheart. No more jokes, I promise"
She smiled warmly, "I just want you to have a good day at school and do well on your test"
He sighed as he walked over and took a seat.
It took 10 minutes, but she made him eggs, toast, and a sausage.
Yumi watched as he ate, her smile widening with each bite.
"That's it, good boy. You need a proper breakfast before a day of tests and studying"
She leaned her elbow on the table, resting her chin in her palm as she continued to watch him eat.
After a few moments, Ren finished his meal and looked up at Yumi.
"There, happy now, granny? Can I go to school now?"
She smiled as she got up and patted his head, "Yes, sweetie, you may go. And good luck on your test!"
She looked at him with a cheeky grin, "And remember, no eating rice alone after the test, alright?"
"Yes"
"Oh and-"
Ren quickly ran out the door. If he had stayed longer, no doubt would she convince him to stay.
"Nope, if she talks I'm gonna be sucked in again"
As he closed his front door, he noticed a familiar figure, waiting by his front gate.
He could already tell it was his childhood friend, Alice Mon Baek.
Her vibrant pink hair and her sweet smile were instantly recognizable.
He walked up to her and greeted, "Hey, Alice!"
She beamed when she saw him, "Hey, Ren! Ready for your math test today?"
She had a mischievous look in her eyes as if she knew something he didn't.
Ren sighed as he shook his head, "Why does everyone have to remind me?"
Alice chuckled, "Well, can you blame everyone for focusing on your weakest subject?"
She teased, "You really gotta start working on your algebra, or you're gonna fail again this term"
"Ugh"
She laughed and patted his shoulder, "It's alright, I was just messing with you. You need to learn to lighten up, Ren. You're so stressed out all the time"
"Haah, you try living with my grandma"
"I don't think Miss Yumi is bad. Maybe you don't appreciate having her around?"
They began walking down the street, Ren's sighs only growing, "It's not that"
"Then what's the problem? I'd kill to have someone as cute and caring as your granny in my house"
Alice chuckled as her words had a mischievous undertone.
Ren's face flushed, realizing he walked right into that one.
He grumbled, "You don't understand. Whenever the boys at school see her, they all act like a bunch of perverts"
"They keep staring at her, and it's annoying"
She chuckled, clearly finding his distress entertaining.
"What, are you jealous, Ren? You don't like sharing the attention your grandma is getting?"
"W-who's jealous?!?"
"Calm down, Ren. I'm just teasing you"
She smirked, "But you didn't really answer my question, you know"
"Are you really that bothered by all the boys at school ogling your granny?"
"I... don't know"
"Seriously?"
Alice chuckled, her smirk growing wider, "You can't give a straight answer on why you're annoyed when the boys stare at Miss Yumi?"
"You know, the same Miss Yumi that literally everyone at Stardust Academy considers the hottest person alive?"
"They see my granny once and she's considered the hottest person alive?"
Alice rolled her eyes playfully, "Have you looked at her, Ren?"
"She's young, beautiful, and has a perfect figure"
"Why wouldn't she be considered the hottest person alive?"
"Even the teachers and principal can't keep their eyes off her whenever your grandmother shows up at the school"
"Meh"
Alice raised an eyebrow, "Really? 'Meh'? That's all you have to say?"
She bumped his shoulder faintly, "Come on, don't be such a killjoy. I bet you also think your grandmother is hot, don't deny that"
"I refuse to answer that... anyways"
He stopped to look at Alice, wiping the strands of hair covering her violet eyes.
"Is that better?"
Her cheeks flushed faintly as he moved the strands of hair from her face.
She was a bit taken aback by how close their faces were.
"Y-yeah.. that's better…"
Ren gave her a bright smile, "That's good"
Alice gazed at him for a moment before pushing him back, her usual smirk returning.
"Stop being all cute with me, dummy"
"Huh?"
Alice rolled her eyes, trying to hide how flustered she was.
"N-nothing"
They continued walking to school in silence for a moment before Alice spoke up, "Hey, can I ask you something?"
"What's up?"
Ren pulled down his headphones, his full attention now on her.
Alice looked at him, a hint of seriousness in her eyes.
"Have you, um... have you ever thought about..."
She paused, looking away before continuing, "Nevermind... forget it"
He gently patted her back, "Come on... don't leave me in the dark"
She sighed and rubbed her arm nervously.
"I just... Have you ever thought about, um... dating someone? It's dumb, forget it"
He blinked a few times, clearly not expecting a question like that from a tomboy like Alice.
"Well... I'm not gonna lie... I do think the idea of dating is interesting"
Alice's eyes widened a bit, surprised that he answered the question.
"Really? I... I didn't expect you to respond like that"
Ren chuckled and shrugged, "Hey, I'm like any other high school boy"
"I like girls and have thought about having a girlfriend. It's natural, right?"
Alice blushed faintly, "So you're saying you like... girls in general, right?"
"Of course I do"
Alice blushed a bit more, her usual confidence wavering a bit.
"But... do you... do you like anyone specifically?"
Ren's heart skipped a beat at the question.
He knew where this conversation was heading. But he tried to play it cool.
"Well... there's someone I'm interested in. But I don't know if they feel the same way"
Alice's heart pounded in her chest, a mix of excitement and anxiety filling her.
"Oh yeah? Who's the lucky girl you're interested in?"
Ren turned to look at Alice, his face a bit flushed.
"She's -"
"Ren Takashi, you forgot your lunch money!"
Just before Ren could reveal who he was interested in, Yumi suddenly appeared, holding Ren's wallet in her hand.
She walked up to them with her usual cheerful smile, "Oh, good morning, Alice"
Alice blushed heavily and sputtered, caught off guard by Yumi's sudden appearance, "M-miss Yumi! G-good morning!"
Ren let out a sigh, clearly frustrated by the timing.
Yumi looked between the two, sensing the tension, "What's going on here?"
He shook his head, "What's up granny, why did you come running towards us?"
Yumi chuckled and ruffled his hair, "Nothing much, sweetie. I just wanted to give you your wallet. I can't have you going hungry at school, right?"
Ren sheepishly took his wallet back, grateful for Yumi's watchful eye.
"Thanks, granny. I would've forgotten it if you weren't here"
He rolled his eyes as he put his wallet in his pocket.
Yumi smiled and shifted her attention to Alice, "And how are you this morning, Alice? Are you and Ren walking to school together again?"
Alice, still flustered from the earlier conversation, struggled to form coherent words.
"Y-yeah, we're... we're walking together…"
Yumi chuckled, enjoying the duo's nervousness.
"That's nice. It's wonderful to see you two together. You're such good friends, aren't you?"
Yumi leaned in, whispering in Alice's ear, "Nothing serious I hope"
Alice's face turned a bright red, and she stuttered, "N-no, nothing serious. We're just friends, Miss Yumi…"
["Oh... so I read it wrong..."]
Ren covered up his sad expression with his usual demeanor.
"Alright, see you later granny"
Yumi smiled and ruffled his hair again.
"Have a good day at school, sweetie. And remember to not eat alone after that test, okay?"
"Got it"
Yumi gave a final wave before walking off, leaving the two teens alone again.
There was an awkward silence for a moment before Alice spoke up.
"Hey, Ren…"
"Yeah?"
Alice fidgeted with her hands, avoiding his gaze.
"About... about that earlier question, you know... the dating one…"
"What about it?"
She took a deep breath and finally looked at him.
"I was just wondering... if you had anyone in mind when you said you were interested in someone…"
"No one... it was just my misunderstanding of a situation"
A hint of disappointment flickered in Alice's eyes.
"Oh... I see..."
There was a moment of silence again before she spoke up again.
"Actually... I do have a question for you, Ren"
Ren tilted his head, intrigued. "Yeah? What's up?"
Alice's cheeks reddened slightly as she asked her question.
"Hypothetically... I mean, if..."
She took a deep breath, mustering up the courage to continue.
"If someone had feelings for you... how would you feel?"
Ren's heart skipped a beat as he realized the context of her question.
He felt a mix of nervousness and excitement.
["Does she actually have?"]
"Well... I guess it depends on who it is. Hypothetically, of course"
Alice fidgeted with the hem of her shirt, trying to appear casual.
"Hypothetically, yes. And let's say... this person, hypothetically, knows you pretty well"
"Hypothetically, she's seen you at your best and your worst, right?"
Ren nodded, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Right... hypothetically speaking, of course. What next?"
Alice hesitated for a moment, biting her bottom lip.
"And let's say... hypothetically, this person has known you since childhood"
"They've been by your side through everything"
"They know you better than anyone... And hypothetically, they've developed feelings for you over the years…"
"..."
Alice anxiously waited for his response, her heart racing.
"So... hypothetically, would you... hypothetically like a person like this?"
["Huh, this kind of sounds like-"]
"Like my... granny?"
Alice's eyes widened in disbelief.
"W-what?! No, no, no, no! I don't mean your granny! I'm talking about someone else! Like... someone your age, of course!"
Ren shivered, "Phew, had me worried for a second"
Alice rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on, seriously?"
She shook her head in mock disappointment, "I was pouring my heart out and you thought I was talking about your grandmother? Now I kinda regret asking…"
"H-huh?"
"A-Alice, could it be that…"
Alice's heart skipped a beat as she saw his look of realization.
She looked away, blushing slightly.
She looked back to see him pointing at himself, he finally got the picture.
Alice's cheeks reddening further.
"T-took you too long, dummy!"
Ren's heart pounded in his chest, the realization finally sinking in.
"Seriously... you're talking about me?"
Alice nodded, her eyes meeting his.
"Yes, you dummy. I was talking about you this whole time! Why else would I ask something like that?"
He was speechless, still processing the revelation.
"Why didn't you just say it directly? You were beating around the bush the whole time!"
Alice blushed furiously, feeling embarrassed that he called her out.
"I...I was trying to be subtle, okay?! I didn't want to straight up confess to you like some kind of love-struck idiot!"
He covered his mouth, "Y-you like me?"
Alice's face turned a deeper shade of red as she nodded faintly.
"Y-yeah... I like you, okay? I've liked you for a while now"
"Then…"
She anxiously waited for his response, her heart racing.
"Then... w-what?"
He raised his hand out, "W-would you l-like to go out with me?"
Alice's eyes widened, and a mixture of surprise and excitement washed over her.
Without a hint of hesitation, she placed her hand in his and answered.
"Y-yes, I'd love to go out with you"
As their hands joined, a wave of euphoria washed over Ren.
He couldn't believe that his childhood friend, the one who always teased him and called him a dummy, confessed her feelings for him and agreed to be his girlfriend.
He smiled, feeling his heart filled with joy and warmth.
But not everyone would think this was a good occasion, from a few feet away a pair of eyes were looking at him with disbelief.
Yumi clicked her tongue, "What the"
She had been discreetly watching their conversation, and her face contorted with surprise and annoyance.
'Of course, Alice would ask him out first...'
She muttered to herself, "Damn it…"
Yumi clenched her fists as she watched the two holding hands, feeling a mix of envy and frustration.
"I should have moved faster!"
Just then, a paper flew onto her face.
"Huh?"
- Hiring Professors -
Location: Stardust Academy
Time: Now!
Yumi was caught off guard by the sudden note, but she quickly read its contents.
Her eyes widened in realization, and a sly smile spread across her face.
She crumbled the note and stuffed it into her pocket before she began jogging towards the school.
As she ran, she formulated a plan and muttered to herself, "Oh, this is too good. I'm not letting some tomboy snatch him from me that easily"
- Stardust Academy -
A place for young youths to experience real-world activities.
Respected Professors who are known for their excellent methods of teaching.
Zero problems and Zero Slackers.
Ren and Alice were talking to each other in class.
News of a new teacher replacing their old one was causing a riot in their class.
"I heard she's super cute!"
"I heard that she's used no beauty products"
"Can't believe a beauty like that is gonna join our academy!"
Ren chuckled as he turned to Alice, "Some rumors, right?"
Alice rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat.
"Seriously, who cares about the new teacher? They're all just making a fuss over some pretty woman"
He smiled, wiping her stray hairs, "I know right?"
A faint blush crept onto her cheeks at his gentle touch.
"Don't get all lovey-dovey with me during class"
She playfully slapped his hand away, but her face betrayed her true feelings.
He cupped her cheek, "Mmh"
His touch sent a shiver down her spine, and her blush deepened.
"St-stop it... we're in class"
She tried to sound annoyed, but her voice was laced with a hint of affection.
"She's here!"
A male student screamed as the rest of the boys stood up.
Everyone turned to the classroom door as the new teacher entered, and an awed silence settled on the room.
Even the toughest guys were stunned into silence as they stared at the teacher.
"Holy... even Kanjin stood up"
Alice nodded, "If he stood up…"
As the new teacher walked to the front of the class, everyone had their eyes fixed on her.
Even the guys who usually didn't give a damn about class were paying attention for once.
There was no doubt that she was undeniably attractive, but to Ren and Alice, there was something familiar about her…
Ren shook his head, "F-fuck"
His first time cussing and his worst nightmare coming true.
Alice, too, felt a mixture of surprise and disbelief.
"N-no way..."
As the teacher turned to face the class, everyone's jaws dropped, confirming everyone's suspicion.
Yumi smiled and waved at the class, a hint of amusement in her eyes.
"Good morning everyone, I will be your new teacher starting today"
The class erupted in a mix of gasps and whispered conversations.
The boys and girls all gawked at her, with the boys practically drooling over her and the girls envious of her stunning appearance.
Ren and Alice sat there, stunned speechless by the unexpected twist of events.
Ren's mind immediately went into panic mode, while Alice tried to maintain composure.
"Tell me this is a dream, Alice"
Alice shook her head, hardly believing her own eyes.
"I... I wish it was, Ren"
She turned to him, noticing the look of horror and dread on his face.
"What are we gonna do? She's gonna be our teacher now... and we're dating!"
He whispered to Alice, trying to figure out how to handle this mess.
Alice's face was flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and fear.
"I-I don't know... this is a disaster!"
She tried to think of a way to avoid any trouble, but her mind was drawing a blank.
Yumi clapped her hands, "Now now, everyone, take your seats"
"I will start with introductions if everyone calms down, okay?"
The students settled down, sitting at their desks and trying to appear calm in front of their new teacher.
The boys were still ogling her, while the girls either looked annoyed or jealous.
Ren and Alice took their seats, still trying to figure out what Yumi was planning.
Yumi scanned the room, her eyes taking in each student in turn.
She paused for a moment when she saw Alice and Ren, a subtle smirk forming on her lips.
"Now, let's begin with introductions, shall we?"
The class nodded, still mesmerized by Yumi's presence.
Yumi smiled, "Alright, first, you"
She pointed at a boy in the front row.
The boy stood up nervously, his eyes constantly darting to Yumi.
"U-um... good morning, Miss Y-Yumi. My name is H-Hirito Watanabe"
Yumi smiled politely at him, taking note of his constant glances.
"Thank you, Mr. Watanabe. You may take your seat"
"You see, just a name and that's it"
After a few minutes, she wrote down all the students' names, and she put down her pen and paper.
Taking a seat for everyone to see, "Now I'm sure you're all curious about me right?"
The students nodded eagerly, their eyes glued on Yumi's every move.
The boys were practically salivating, while the girls tried to hide their envy.
Ren and Alice tensed up, their bodies on edge.
Yumi smiled warmly, perfectly aware of the effect she was having on the boys, and she took pleasure in watching the girls squirm in jealousy.
"What do you all want to know about me then?"
Several hands shot up into the air, all desperate to learn more about the gorgeous teacher.
"Miss Yumi, do you have a boyfriend?"
"Do you like younger guys?"
"Why did you apply here?"
"W-will you leave?" Ren mumbled.
Yumi chuckled at the barrage of questions, her eyes scanning the room.
She didn't miss the mumbling from Ren's direction but decided to ignore it for now.
"I see you're all very curious about my personal life, huh?"
"Well, I'm single, and I do like younger men, I applied here for a very special someone~"
The class erupted in whispers and gasps, and several boys' hearts skipped a beat at her words.
Meanwhile, Ren's eyes widened in horror, immediately catching onto the implications behind her words.
He glanced over to Alice, who was also sinking lower, trying to hide from Yumi's view.
Alice shook her head as they knew where this conversation was going.
"M-miss Y-yumi is that special someone here?"
Yumi smiled coyly, her eyes flickering to the back of the room.
"Why yes, they are"
The class went completely silent, each student eagerly waiting to know who this "special someone" was.
"F-fuck"
Ren cussed for the second time in his life as he was practically merging with the floor.
The entire class turned towards him, their eyes widening at his unusual outburst.
This only increased their curiosity about Yumi's special someone.
Yumi chuckled softly, her eyes fixed on Ren, enjoying his reaction.
All the boys looked at each other, shaking their heads as the answer was clear.
"N-no way"
"That's impossible..."
"Ren?"
Meanwhile, Alice was burying her face in her arms on the desk, feeling as if the whole class was about to find out something they shouldn't.
Yumi smiled, relishing the shocked reactions from everyone, including her two targets.
"Oh yes, my special someone is indeed here, in this very room. Can you guess who they are?"
Murmurs filled the room, students whispering to each other, all trying to figure out who this lucky person was.
The boys were still in disbelief, unable to accept Ren as the one who caught their new teacher's heart.
The girls just kept staring at Ren as he sank lower.
The class waited in anticipation for her to reveal her target.
With a sly smile, Yumi pointed her finger directly at Ren.
The entire class gasped in unison, and the boys froze in shock.
Alice slowly lifted her face from the desk, her heart pounding in her chest.
The class was in absolute disarray, boys looked at Ren with envy and disbelief while girls glared and muttered under their breaths.
Amid this chaos, Yumi leaned on her desk and spoke up, breaking the stunned silence.
"That's right, I'm in love with our very own little prodigy, Ren Takashi"
Ren immediately ran out the door, "Damn it all!"
The class fell into whispers and exclamations, some boys shaking their heads and some girls talking amongst themselves.
Yumi smiled, feigning surprise, as she watched Ren run out of the classroom.
She had expected this reaction, but she wasn't going to let him off the hook that easily.
She ran after him, "Ren... come back here~"
Ren bolted down the hallway, not looking back as he tried to escape from Yumi.
He was still in shock, trying to process everything that had just happened in the classroom.
"Damn that darn granny!"
"I'll get her back for this?"
Yumi was a few steps behind him, her heels clicking against the floor as she chased after him.
She had a sly smile on her face and was enjoying the thrill of the chase.
"You can't run from me forever, Ren~"
Alice and the rest of the class were just right behind her.
This was perhaps the juiciest news they heard all semester.
As the class followed Yumi and Ren down the hallway, the chatter and whispers grew louder.
Everyone was dying to know what was going to happen next.
Yumi was still hot on his heels, her long legs easily matching his pace.
Just a few more steps and she'd have him cornered.
Ren took a sudden turn down another hallway, desperately trying to lose her.
He could hear the soft clicking of Yumi's heels echoing behind him, and he knew he was running out of options.
As he turned the corner, he found himself facing a dead-end.
The hallway ended with a window with no fire escape or other exit points.
Yumi walked up behind him, cutting off any chance of escape.
Ren cursed under his breath as he realized he was trapped.
He turned around to face Yumi, who was now standing mere inches away from him.
Her smile was still on her face, and her eyes were gleaming with satisfaction.
Yumi stood there, basking in the fact that she had him right where she wanted him.
"Looks like you've run out of options, hm?"
"What are you planning, granny?"
Yumi chuckled, her smile not faltering in the slightest.
"Oh, you'll find out soon enough"
Just then, the rest of the class caught up, some boys panting and trying to catch their breath, and the girls muttering amongst themselves, trying to get a better view.
The hallway was now filled with the voices of the class, watching the spectacle unfold between their new teacher and their fellow student.
Some of the boys muttered amongst themselves, still in disbelief about the whole situation.
Alice was standing near the back, her face red and conflicted about what was happening before them.
Yumi leaned against the wall, still standing in front of Ren and blocking his escape route.
She looked around at the class, noticing Alice's conflicted expression.
She smirked slightly, enjoying the fact that she had them both in her grasp.
"Didn't you say you wouldn't make such jokes today granny?"
Yumi chuckled, amused that it didn't take long for him to figure out her true intentions.
"As expected of my grandson, able to see when I'm joking"
Ren tried to maintain a calm demeanor, but his eyes betrayed his anxiety.
He glanced over to the class, his classmates still staring back at him, some with envy and disbelief.
"So this was all a joke, huh?"
Yumi shrugged, leaning in closer to him.
"Well, not entirely a joke. I do have a bit of a weakness for younger men, especially those who catch my eye"
She ran a finger down his chest, her smile still playful.
Ren looked at the window behind him.
Yumi followed his gaze to the window, noticing where he was looking.
"And if you're thinking of jumping out the window, I wouldn't advise it. It's a three-story drop"
"I'm willing to make that bet"
Yumi's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting him to actually consider jumping out the window.
"Don't be ridiculous, it would kill you if you jumped from here"
"My fault for having such a cute granny"
Yumi's cheeks turned a light shade of pink.
She wasn't expecting him to compliment her so bluntly.
She quickly composed herself, clearing her throat.
"Don't try to sweet talk your way out of this, Ren. You can't escape my grasp that easily"
No thoughts as he quickly jumped, "SEE YOU AT HOME!"
The class let out a collective gasp as Ren jumped.
Several boys shouted in surprise while the girls screamed and watched in horror.
Yumi's eyes widened in shock, realizing too late what he was doing.
"No! Ren, don't!"
He bumped into the tree and hit a few branches that broke his fall as they saw his figure running out of the academy grounds.
The class watched in disbelief as Ren managed to survive the jump and make his escape.
Some boys muttered to each other, impressed by his reckless actions.
Yumi, still frozen in shock, watched as his figure disappeared before she snapped out of it.
"Damn it all…"
Ren closed his journal as he got up to take a shower.
He chuckled to himself as he thought about all that had happened.
The day had been bizarre, and yet oddly entertaining.
He still couldn't believe that his own grandmother had become his teacher.
He took a deep breath and headed towards the bathroom, ready to wash the eventful day off.
"Still, my teenage grandmother can't possibly be this cute!"
