In a chill, foggy day the ship of the Amazon is coming near an island. In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, this island is located. It has no sign of any inhabitants, or so it seemed like that. The ship got near to the island and stopped.
"We have arrived." Said Uvanov who was standing on the deck with Shiki, formerly known as Ji hyun, and his trusted commander Kamau.
"This is our headquarters Shiki." As he looked towards the island, "we call it 'forest alpha'."
"But I do not see anyone there. How is this place your headquarters?" said Shiki.
Kamau gently grabbed his forehead and said, "Wait till you see it. It is going to be fabulous."
At that moment, the ship started to tremble, as he saw a great whirlpool form in front of the ship. He was frightened. Then Uvanov screamed, "Let's go."
The ship then went towards the whirlpool and fell in it. Scared Shiki closed his eyes but everything was silent. Slowly he opened his eyes and what he saw just made him speechless. The ship now was in the middle of a river which was glowing with blue crystals at its waterbed. At both the sides he could see trees which had a glowing leaves with colorful flowers. Then he looked above and saw that the ship was inside a cave.
"this place.." Shiki said, "is beautiful."
"I told you it would be beautiful." Kamau took a view of the forest and then announced, "We are arriving at the port. Prepare to move out."
Shiki saw that there was an entire port inside this cave. Once they got on the land, he saw that this place was carrying an entire city inside. Trains could be heard, people moving from here to there. There was a hustling crowd inside the shops and cafes. This place had everything required for a man.
"All right boys! We are heading to the main office." Uvanov instructed his guards.
"Yes sir!" replied the men.
As they walked through this city, people greeted them all kindly. They also started cheering their names as heroes have arrived.
"You see this kid." Kamau looking at cheering crowd "they treat us like this because they are the only humans who know of this war."
"uhm! There was something I wanted to ask you?" Shiki looked confused while he asked this question.
"What do you want to know?" said Kamau.
"How many people actually know of this overcast society?" Shiki asked kamau.
"we are completely hidden from common people but the governments know of us."
"they even have their own agencies too." Kamau told him this as they close to the main office.
"Some of these agencies are brown bears of Russia, the beehive of China and whi…."
"White tiger." Shiki interrupted Kamau without realizing it.
"Do you know about them?" kamau asked him.
"Yeah! Kind of." Shiki did not comfortable while he answered to Kamau."
Then they all reached the main building. There the men had to follow him into the main building. Kamau stopped Shiki and then he said, "Shiki, we are going to deal with some grown up work while you can go to near playground."
"When I come back in some time, I will take you to meet my family."
"Ok, Mr.Kamau."
Kamau then left him at the playground. Shiki was all alone in this playground. He did not know what to here without anyone. He started walking to a swing. Suddenly he heard a voice.
"hey you." The strange voice said.
"Hey I am talking to you. Help me."
Shiki looked at the side inside a bush. There a boy with dark skin was lying down. He was tangled into iron chains. He was all in mess and his clothes were torn also. He just looked same age as him.
"What happened to you?" asked Shiki.
"Well you must first help me. We can talk later." The strange boy said.
Shiki helped the boy get out of the chains and then he helped him clean him dirty clothes.
"So will you tell me what happened to you?" as Shiki cleaned him.
"Well in short I was thrown away by the swing." The strange boy replied.
"what? Really." Then the changed the subject, "Anyway who are you? I have never seen you here before."
"I am ji..I am Shiki." As Shiki realized his new name, "I am new here."
"Shiki huh! My name is GREAT AND MIGHTY SHIBA!" this strange boy introduced himself in even stranger way.
"Shiba, Nice to meet you." As he looked at him in a stressed way, "well why you were there in first place?"
"I just told you. Right?" Shiba replied.
"but how you broke the chain and got tied in it."
"uhmmmmmm...." Shiba thought and then replied, "Don't know, don't care."
(thinking) "This boy, he might be a bad news."
"Well since you met me here. It might be fate." Shiba said, " I was getting bored so god sent me a friend."
"Oh no. I was just passing by." Shiki thought of ways to get out of this situation, "I must go now."
"Oh come on. Don't be a sore loser." As Shiba forced him to play with him, "we are playing tag."
"Ok so catch me." As shiba starts to climb on dangerous swing rods.
" Hey! you are going to hurt yourself get down." Shiki exclaimed.
"MAKE ME SHIKI." Then Shiki also climbed the rod. Then he started going behind him but in a sudden moment a small bug got into Shiki's eye. He could not balance his weight and he fell. He thought he would get injured but suddenly he stopped. He saw that Shiba has grabbed his hand.
"I do not let my friends fall, buddy!"
He then slowly got him back on the rod and they both sat on it together.
"thank you. But how I became your friend?" Shiki asked.
"well you agreed to be my friend when you decided to play with me."
"but we reallt must get off from this swing." They slowly got on the ground and they both laid down. Then the both of them began to laugh because of fun and anxiety. They looked at each other and they both thought "he might be a good friend."
Then after some time they stood up and decided the next games to play. They liked each other's company and they played till Kamau came after 5 hours. He saw that Shiki and a boy were playing together.
"Shiki and…. Shiba!" then as Shiba looked and ran towards him and hugged him, "father!"
"oh boy!" said Kamau, "you really love me, don't you son?"
"so how did you like your companion Shiki." Asked Kamau.
" it was great to meet your son, Mr.Kamau." replied Shiki.
"wait you know my dad?" asked Shiba to Shiki.
"well it is a long story but yes ."
"Well I was just going to introduce you both but it seems" as he looked at their dirty clothes, "you too must have known each other by now."
"let's go home and change your clothes." As he then took their hand and started to walk.
"but Mr.Kamau, I don't have a home." He said to kamau.
"ohh! About that. I talked with chief and he allowed me to take you with me."
"which means you will be living with my family from today."
Suddenly he stopped in the middle of road. He did not say anything, but he was happy. After how many things happened to him he felt that someone wants him to be with them. He could not stop his tears from flowing out of his eyes. Seeing this Kamau patted his head and told him
"let's go home now, Shiki."
"yes…." He replied while crying.
On the way to the home Kamau realized that he has to tell the both of something.
"oh boys I must tell you both you guys will be going to the tree of aftermath for blessing baptism."
"what is that Mr.Kamau?" Shiki asked Kamau.
"ohh it means we will receive our blessing and rankings." He was replied by Shiba.
"and they also assign you you work-perks." Kamau said to them.
"well I will explain to you later more about it."
"and then you both will begin your training to become a traveler."
"well I cannot wait to see what my blessing will be." Shiba looked very happy talking about the blessings.
"do you want to know your ability too, Shiki?" asked Shiba.
Shiki has never thought about his blessing but he don't think much of it because he was still not able to beleive all this.
"I..I do want to know it too."
"well we must reach home now or your mom will be angry."
Shiki who finally made thinks normal for himself is going to see many things in his life but for this moment he is stabilized and he feels he can make things right. as he starts his new life with the amazon.
