"Thank you," Winter said once more as she hurried away, her steps almost like a run. She really did look busy.
Elise looked at Charlotte suspiciously.
"What kind of case is it?"
"I'm afraid I can't tell you."
Ha, Elise glared at Charlotte. Charlotte pretended not to notice Elise's gaze and returned to her desk, looking at the monitor.
In the distance, Winter's slender figure could be seen walking down the corridor.
