A faint glimmer of light flashed across Yvonne's empty eyes. That light created a tiny crack in Yvonne's vacant eyes before disappearing in an instant.
Yvonne, keeping her gaze fixed on Winter, spoke quietly.
"Get out."
"Pardon?"
Winter's eyes widened in surprise, then her expression darkened. Watching this, the male and female lawyers raised one corner of their mouths with a look that said, "I knew it."
Looking at Winter's face sinking into disappointment, Yvonne spoke again.
"I mean the others."
"Ah."
Winter let out a small sigh. A look of relief spread across her radiant face.
The male and female lawyers, who had been singled out by Yvonne, actually seemed pleased at being asked to leave. They appeared to think this was their chance to finally wash their hands of this troublesome case.
As they quickly stood up, Ryan coldly said to them.
"You two can leave now."
"Understood!"
"You won't be needed anymore, so don't worry. Let's not see each other again, shall we?"
