"Aren't you going to follow me quickly?"
A moment later, the sound of footsteps that were neither slow nor fast could be heard. It seemed that another person had entered the conference room following the first one.
Soon after, the conference room door slammed shut with a bang.
Unable to see but feeling the ominous atmosphere with her whole body, Winter didn't dare move a muscle.
Fortunately, the underside of the table was completely blocked off. Thanks to that, the people who had just barged in didn't seem to have noticed Winter's presence.
Winter unconsciously gulped. It looked like someone was about to start an argument.
Just as she was thinking she should make her presence known, a familiar voice was heard.
"What do you want to say?"
Winter's heart suddenly raced at the sound.
The low, heavy voice with a hint of nasal tone was pleasant to hear.
The owner of the deep, weighty voice was Hugo. Upon realizing this, Winter found herself unable to move, frozen in place.
