I sighed and continued, my voice now softer, yet still firm. "No, Reiji. I am happy. I have a complete family, and I have considered you a part of that family. I have long regarded you as my own child."
Reiji's eyes widened, as if my words were something he had never imagined before.
"So," I said with a gentle smile, "for me, if a child touches their mother—even if accidentally—it's not something you need to worry about."
"All children have touched their mothers' chests, right? After all, you are still a child, so the faint desire to drink milk may still linger within you."
I then pulled Reiji into an embrace, gently patting his back.
Reiji's body felt stiff for a moment, but he slowly began to relax in my arms.
"Don't worry," I whispered, gently stroking Reiji's head. "You can always talk to me. If something is bothering you, just say it. I'm here for you."
After a moment, I slowly released the embrace.
My smile remained on my face, filled with sincere affection.
