Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Fate’s Divergence

All Might's Perspective

The backyard was eerily silent except for the faint whimpering of a girl and the rustle of leaves in the wind. All Might, his buffed-up form towering over the scene before him. His sharp eyes immediately locked on Tenko Shimura, whose small, trembling hand was outstretched, mere inches from Hana's back.

The sight sent a jolt through All Might's mind. I'm late, he thought with a sinking feeling. All For One has already gotten to him.

All Might's knowledge of the story burned in his mind. He knew the tragedy of Tenko Shimura, the boy who would become Tomura Shigaraki, the Symbol of Evil. All For One had planted the seeds of destruction by giving the boy the devastating Decay quirk. But here and now, All Might could change the narrative.

Without hesitation, he moved. In a swift motion, he grabbed Tenko's arms—not his hands, careful not to trigger the quirk—holding the boy in place before he could harm anyone.

The pool of blood near the lifeless dog glistened darkly in the fading light. Tenko and Hana both had tears in their eyes, their faces pale with fear and confusion. All Might tightened his grip, his thoughts racing.

At least I prevented him from killing his family, he thought grimly. This changes everything.

Third-Person Perspective

The household erupted into chaos as everyone arrived in the backyard. Gran Torino was the first to appear, followed closely by Kotaro, Nao, and her parents, Chizuo and Mako. Their faces ranged from shock to confusion, with Kotaro's expression quickly shifting to anger.

"What the hell happened?" Kotaro demanded, his voice loud and accusatory.

All Might, still in his hero form, straightened but kept a protective hold on Tenko. He glanced at Kotaro with calm authority. "Your son's quirk awakened," he said simply.

Nao's hand flew to her mouth. "Wait, he has a quirk?" she asked, stunned.

Mako, Nao's father, was more focused on the imposing figure in the yard. "Why is All Might here?" he asked, his tone sharp. "What's going on?"

The air was thick with questions. Kotaro and Chizuo both began talking over each other, demanding answers, while Nao hovered near Hana, who was still trembling. Even Gran Torino had his own question, his brow furrowed as he asked, "How does Tenko have such a dangerous quirk?"

"Quiet!" All Might's voice boomed, cutting through the chaos like a knife.

The adults froze, stunned into silence. Gran Torino, though used to the change in Toshinori's demeanor since his amnesia, was surprised by how quickly he commanded attention. For the others, it was the first time seeing the Symbol of Peace display such intensity.

Lowering his tone, All Might gestured toward the children. "Don't you see? You're scaring them."

The guilt was immediate. Kotaro glanced at his son and daughter, both still shaken. Chizuo and Mako exchanged glances, their stern expressions softening slightly. Nao wrapped an arm around Hana, pulling her closer in a protective embrace.

All Might knelt down, still in his hero form, and looked Tenko in the eyes. "What's your name, kid?" he asked, his voice kind but steady.

Tenko sniffled, his tears slowing as he answered timidly, "Tenko Shimura."

All Might nodded, pulling a pair of gloves from his pocket. He had prepared for this moment, knowing it would come. Holding the gloves out, he said gently, "Your quirk is very powerful. Try wearing these and practicing so you can control it. Until then, don't touch anything, okay?"

Tenko's eyes widened slightly. He looked at All Might, awe creeping into his tear-streaked face. He nodded, his small hands trembling as he took the gloves and slid them on.

All Might patted him gently on the head, his frown softening into a faint smile. It wasn't perfect, but it was more genuine than any smile he had forced in weeks. He repeated the gesture with Hana, ruffling her hair slightly as he said, "It's going to be okay. You're both safe now."

The children seemed to relax under his reassuring presence. When he told them to go back inside so the adults could talk, they obeyed without hesitation, following Nao's quiet instructions. Once the children were gone, the tension among the adults returned.

Inside the Living Room

They gathered in the living room, the atmosphere thick with unease. Nao sat beside her parents, Chizuo and Mako, while Kotaro sat apart, his posture rigid. Gran Torino leaned against the wall, his sharp eyes darting between All Might and the others.

All Might, still in his hero form, stood before them. With a deep breath, he powered down, shrinking back into his civilian form. The transformation left Chizuo and Mako visibly stunned; the idea that All Might had a "normal" form was unthinkable to the public.

Chizuo pointed at him, his voice incredulous. "You... you can do that?"

Ignoring the astonishment, All Might took a seat, his posture relaxed but his tone serious. "Let me explain everything," he said.

He started from the beginning, telling Nao, Chizuo, and Mako about Nana Shimura. He explained how she had been his master, the sacrifices she had made, and the looming threat of All For One—a villain who could steal and give quirks at will. He spoke of how Nana had distanced herself from her family to protect them, keeping them out of All For One's reach.

When he was done, the room was silent. Nao stared at her hands, her expression a mix of shock and sadness. Chizuo and Mako sat stiffly, trying to process the revelation.

"She... she did it to protect us?" Chizuo asked finally, his voice quieter than usual.

All Might nodded solemnly. "Yes. But even with those precautions, I believe All For One may have found you."

"What do you mean?" Kotaro asked, his tone wary.

All Might's gaze darkened slightly. "Tenko's quirk. It's unlike anything I've seen, and it awakened suddenly, under strange circumstances. I believe there's a chance it was given to him by All For One."

Gran Torino's eyes widened. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice low.

All Might shook his head. "I can't be certain. But if I hadn't been here, Tenko's quirk could have destroyed this entire family. I think All For One may already be targeting you."

The weight of his words hung heavy in the air. The memory of the bloodied dog flashed through their minds, and everyone fell silent. The destruction Tenko's quirk had caused in mere seconds was undeniable.

Kotaro buried his face in his hands, his voice muffled as he asked, "What do you suggest we do?"

All Might leaned forward, his eyes serious. "Until I stop All For One, I think it's best for all of you to stay at Might Tower. It's secure, and I can ensure your safety there."

The room erupted with shock.

"WHAT?!" Chizuo and Mako exclaimed in unison. Nao looked equally taken aback, while Kotaro seemed conflicted. Even Gran Torino raised an eyebrow, surprised by how far Toshinori had thought ahead.

"Leaving our home?" Chizuo said, his voice tinged with disbelief. "You expect us to uproot everything?"

"It's for your safety," All Might said firmly. "If All For One has his sights on you, this is the only way to ensure he doesn't succeed."

Gran Torino finally stepped forward, placing a hand on All Might's shoulder. "He's right," he said, his voice steady. "If there's even a chance All For One is involved, you can't stay here."

The room fell into uneasy silence as Nana's family absorbed the weight of the situation. The chapter ended with their stunned expressions, the enormity of the decision hanging over them like a storm cloud.
