Chapter 2 - Chapter: 1

It's early in the morning Mom and I, we are sitting eating breakfast, I'm having cold cereal since I'm in a hurry of getting early to school. Where is my father?? Ooh! He had to wake up early and go to his club since it was under renovation, it's about time he changed that old building of his.

"When will you be serious about school? It's been ages since I saw you with a book on your hands, I'm even worried nje" that's my mother, MamaG, I got used to calling her like that from an early age. I guess it's now in my blood. Not that I'm being disrespectful but it's the heavy bond we share that made me this much comfortable towards her. Gawd!! I love this woman, seeing her smile every morning is the biggest encouragement that I get, I wanna make her proud so that smile never fad-

I'm snapped back into reality my mother slightly pushing my head for attention. "Relax MamaG, I always study mara (but) you wouldn't notice since you and Kayise have been out lately.

Yakhikhaya Mazibuko is my father... born into a large family of eight and is the fifth born. I'd like to think my grandfather was blessed, imagine having five sons and three daughters? Blessings!! Over the years I've developed a habit of calling my father Kayise! He used to have a problem with but I guess with time everything changes...

There's that laugh again, it's my mother. "I hope so, remember it's your final year as a high schooler so you better UP your game and it's time we see that you are dedicated in your studies, apart from everything else, I wish you all the best my love" she says, standing up and walking over to me giving me one of the forehead kisses as she always does.

"Here you go again with your kisses!! Time is already not on my side, let me see you later MamaG. Much love" I say, taking long strides to the door...I don't wait for her to reply.

"Don't forget to go to your father after school, he has something for you." She says shouting out to me before I slam the door close.

I'm not a big fan of going to school using my parent`s cars, I had always preferred using my bike since all my friend were using them. We'd always wait for each other before racing our way to school and that's still the story till today. I love the morning breeze that hits me, it's refreshing. Damn!! That's Jake! He passes by my side with a wink! I'd never win with racing him it's been years since I tried. I guess I'll have to change this bike I'm riding. I blame it.

A screeching of tires and screems follow as we're still on our way, swivelling my head to the right, it's a big black Toyota Fortuner crashing into one of the bikes. No! No! No! It cannot be...

"Sbu!! Sbu!!"
