Back across New York lies the sleeping Forest Straw. Unaware of what's happening and dreaming a good sleep. The shamans of Sussy Yukimura are busy preparing for the exorcism of the dangerous and cultivation sucking "demon spirit rats" by Garold the Fifth.
There were five of them in total, each positioning themselves in equilateral distances. To ensure that a barrier is maintained and nothing bad escapes it unless allowed to.

Then, all five of them started chanting. Chanting the scriptures of Heaven and Earth. As well as Stacy Himamura fixing the herbs during the chant. The herbs smelled of that of olive oil with a fragrance of blue lavender, but many of the herbs are present there. Most notably, sampaguita.
Upon fixing the herbs, they apply it to Forest Straw's forehead, then his limbs, then his torso, then his back. To ensure that the spirits of the demon spirit rats are removed. Then, they chant the spirit cleansing scriptures of the famed Shaman, "Misaki Orohime" (A fictional Character too).
To increase and activate the effectiveness of the herbs. Five talisman suddenly was placed to strengthen the barrier and at the same time, strengthen the effectiveness of the aura. Thus, upon the prayers and chants of the Shamans, a seal was broken, the talisman burned, and a seal appeared in Forest Straw's abdomen, a seal of chaos, the curse. On what look likes an inscripture in the middle with arrows stretching from a radius. Then encircled by a circle with a long line stretching downward. When removed, white and black demon spirit rats were spotted. Sealed within large bottles, the rats were spirits that manifested into a physical manifestation. Then the spirit of Garold the Fifth ascended out of Forest Straw's body.

Waking up the next morning was a more energetic Forest Straw. Feeling great and losing all the heavy migraines he had, he was successfully cleansed of filth.
Then at the living room is his father watching the news about France:
"An evacuation and immediate quarantine was launched in France as part of a cleansing cooperative to stop the infestation of large rodents, on what seems to be a scenario out of a doomsday book…." - News Reporter
Then surprisingly, a call was received by Turren Straw. It was Frank Ford. He is saying that many military personnel are fighting these creatures and that France is in total pandemonium. Cultivators are fighting in and out of the country, and the black and white secret societies are fighting for superiority world wide. He also says this:

The fight that broke out immediately in France by White Wizards versus black magicians were very intense. Some reported that an old long haired bearded man was seen shooting large fireballs with his wand, a magic that attacked another magic cultivator far out.
France was in total shocked that secret societies still existed at this time. But, the information, was covered up to suppress information from spreading out to the public. It was also advised that they need to keep a tight lip about this as to not insinuate a panic of some sort.
In an effort to secure France as a last stand against the forces of Garold the Fifth. They fought valiantly but were defeated by the large scale attacks. The only choice then was after their defeat, was to abandon France and look some place else, else where.
