Chapter 25 - A SECRET PLAN

Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi sat in the palace, surrounded by the opulent decorations and the soft glow of candles. They had been discussing the issue of Oyin's succession for weeks, and they had finally come up with a plan.

"We will adopt a child," Oyin said, her voice filled with determination. "But we will pretend that I am pregnant. That way, the people will think that I have a natural heir, and they will be satisfied."

Ajokeaiyewunmi nodded, a sly smile spreading across her face. "I like it," she said. "But we will have to be careful. If the people find out that we are deceiving them, it could be disastrous."

Oyin nodded, her expression serious. "I know," she said. "But I am willing to take that risk. I want to secure the future of our kingdom, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen."

Ajokeaiyewunmi smiled, her eyes shining with admiration. "You are a true leader, Oyin," she said. "I am honored to stand by your side."

Together, the two women began to make arrangements for the adoption. They traveled to a distant village, where they met with a young woman named Omowunmi. Omowunmi was poor and alone, and she saw the adoption as a way to give her child a better life.

Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi were moved by Omowunmi's story, and they knew that they had made the right decision.

As they returned to the palace, Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi began to make plans for the pretend pregnancy. They would tell the people that Oyin was expecting a child, and they would use the adoption as a way to present the child as Oyin's natural heir.

It was a risky plan, but Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi were determined to make it work. They knew that the future of their kingdom depended on it.

As the days passed, Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi's plan began to take shape. They told the people that Oyin was pregnant, and they began to make preparations for the birth of the child.

The people were overjoyed, and they began to make preparations for the celebration of the child's birth. Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi watched as the kingdom was filled with excitement and anticipation.

But as the days turned into weeks, Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi began to feel the weight of their deception. They knew that they were taking a great risk, and they couldn't shake the feeling that they were living a lie.

Despite their doubts, they continued to move forward with their plan. They knew that they had to see it through, no matter what the cost.

As the due date approached, Oyin and Ajokeaiyewunmi's anxiety grew. They knew that they were running out of time, and they had to be prepared for anything.

But as they waited with bated breath, they couldn't help but wonder what the future held. Would their plan succeed, or would it end in disaster? Only time would tell.
