"Captain let's go, were done in here" yelled Knox
"There something off, the air in here doesn't feel right" said Alyn.
The room was entirely cleared of treasure as Knox pushed the full trolley.
Gong-Gong-Gong
Loud bells rang through the mansion indicating their heist was over.
'We need to run" yelled Col as they ran through the corridors ignoring the garden on their exit.
"How did they find out we were here?" asked Ark blocking his ears from the ringing.
"This is my fault guys I'll explain when we get out of here" said Col.
As Col ran ahead hoping they had not taken their carriage before they arrived. The footsteps of guards marching grew louder as they reached the front.
"Halt go no further!" yelled a sentry guard blocking the exit. Col knew that playing dumb wouldn't work this time the only thing they could do was get out as fast as possible. Multiple guards began entering the manor all brandishing steel.
"This isn't the bathroom, sorry we'll just excuse ourselves looks like you guys are busy"
The thinly vailed lie did nothing but infuriate the guards making them draw their swords at the gang.
"Stop now intruders and wait for the guard captain to decide your fate"
Col knew the only fate in store for them was a hanging or worse prolonged torture. The lord Desmond was known to bring his enemies into his dungeons never to return. Elenor swore she heard screams coming from inside the manor at night as she was scouting the area days ago.
"Elenor daze them now" whispered Col. The young girl lifted her hands up producing the low fog from earlier. The fog stretched towards the guards barely reaching the corners of the building.

A couple of the soldiers stood frozen while the others charged at the thieves.
"Sorry Col I'm done" said Elenor panting.
"Don't worry you've done enough"
Col unsheathed his sword swinging it at the dozens of soldiers charging at them. Alyn stood back protecting Ark who was holding his own picking off the men still dazed. Col slowly made his way to the entrance clearing a path for his friends. He slowly felt his strength fading as he swung, until he finally reached the door breathing in the air of freedom. 'We did it' Col thought as he blocked his eyes from sun coming through the door.
"These are the brats who tried to steal from the Lord?"
Col dropped his hands to see the gleam of polished armour towering over him. It was the guard who left the manor earlier. He cracked his bloody knuckles and shot Col a sickening smile.
"Wai-"
Before he could say a word a right hook like a bolt of lightning strike struck Col in the face knocking him into the building. He felt his brain shake in his head giving him double vision.
"Captain-Gerald those are the men right there, they hope to run away with Lord Waywirth's wealth" said a soldier laying down on the ground.
"This whelp and the gang of hooligans-ha" he laughed as he was walked toward the gang frozen in fear.
"stop!" he yelled as he pushed Gerald back with a swing to the abdomen, but he narrowly dodged stumbling back. Col managed to roll out of the way dusting himself off.
"Cap can I use it now?" Alyn looked over at Col with sly smile.
"Yeah go ahead Al" Col sighed.

Alyn held his golden sword firmly as it lit on fire illuminating his face. Gerald merely scoffed and leap at him. "You think because you have a Sigil weapon you can beat me, scum" he said as he swatted him around the room. Alyn braced himself for every hit maintaining balance against the massive soldier. "Your metal is plenty tough, I was wrong you're better than ordinary scum- a young whelp faintly grasping the power he wields" Gerald said cleaning dust of his thick moustache.

A piercing white light came off Alyn's golden blade before he unleashed a flurry of fiery attacks. He managed to cut Gerald's leg slowing him down for a moment. Blood began leaking out of his leg making a trail on the polished tiles. Gerald immediately put pressure on the leg and lifted it up, he then pulled the fabric from a fallen guard wrapping it around his leg.
'Such metal' Col thought as he looked over at the Guard Captain with reverence. Col's attention was quickly caught by a shadowy figure creeping up behind Gerald. It was Elenor using her mist magic to sneak up and slit his throat with her a dagger.
"Nice try" he said as he pulled out a small knife blocking her strike. She stumbled back stretching her hand out.
[Mist Tome;Memory Mirra-
Before she could finish her spell Gerald swiftly cut off Elenor's index finger distracting her from her spell. She fell back biting her lip to calm herself from the pain.
"A mancer? If I was a novice you would surely have succeeded"
The room shook as Gerald and Alyn traded blows back and forth, fist to blade. As Alyn swung at him tiring himself out he realised they had no chance against him, the only thing they could do was run away. Col seeing an opening jumped at him landing a knee to the side of Gerald's head knocking him down to one knee. The entire room grew quite for a moment.
When they looked over at Gerald they saw a sour grimace strewed on his face. He looked up at Col with pure rage as blood dripped down his head to his chin. Col felt the hairs on his neck stand up, Gerald had no openings for them to exploit to escape.
"Guys go on ahead I'll catch up" Col said as he looked back flashing a reassuring smile. Knox understanding the situation simply nodded his head and waited for his moment to run. He looked over at Gerald still brimming with rage, the entrance was right behind him.
"Do you really think you can stop me?" Gerald bellowed as he stumbling back on his feet. The group decide to split up running out at the same time. "He can't catch us all" Ark thought. Gerald leapt at Knox who was pushing the trolley.
"Not so fast Captain Moustache"
Col blocked his hand as he nearly grabbing the trolley filled with gold.
