Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- Myth and Legends, Heroes and Villains

'Since you had fulfilled your end of the bargain and as promised, you are authorized to ask me any questions. Provided that I still got the relevant info that was stored within me.' Ada spoke in a rather confident tone.

As a sentient artificial intelligence created by a race of ultra advanced machines, Ada had expected this kind of result from WuYan since all is within her calculation. The moment the merge was completed, all of her vital systems had transferred into his mind and thus she performed a full body scan on this new host without his knowing. Except for the damaged heart and right arm, everything seems normal and healthy about him.

"Right now….I….my thoughts are in a mess. Never in my life or well, two lives that I ever thought of accidentally released and fused a killer system into myself." WuYan continued to make jokes just to release his stress.

"There's no need to fear me. You are my host and source of energy to keep me alive so you are not counted into my elimination database. However, I must say that you are quite the exceptionally healthy one. What had you done in your previous world before arriving into this world?"

Out of curiosity, A.D.A asked WuYan about his previous job from the other world. Other than coincidentally finding a suitable host for her survival and then taking a risky chance to merge with him, she barely knows him at all. Although she already scanned his body, the brain is still his, hence she can't enter his mind to view his memories. With zero info about him, she had come up with a long term program and the objective was to get to know more and a better understanding of her new host.

"Sorry but my guts told me that I can't fully trust you yet. You had put me in the blind and urged me to save you in a panic. It's my fault and I should have asked everything about you before agreeing to help you." WuYan felt regret and blamed himself by clenching his fists tightly.

'If I had told you earlier, there's a high possibility that you will reject me. But that means it would also lead to your death since I am no longer around to have your pacemaker working. Are you sure that you wanted that ending?' Ada questioned.

After pondering on her question for a while, WuYan then looked at Ada's body that was still placed in the pod.

"Sigh….what's done is done. Wait, isn't the one supposed to ask questions is me?"

After he had assessed the situation and let out a disappointed sigh, WuYan felt he was fooled by her since he was the one supposed to ask questions. He quickly cleared his mind then continued to ask more about her and her creator.

"Let me repeat again to get a better understanding about you. Just from your non-benevolent name alone, Anti Divinity or Demonic Agent. You had said that your role is to eradicate them and their creations to harvest energy?" WuYan asked the same question again for better clarification.

"Yes, to eradicate them whether they are divines, demons, monsters, humans or other species for their power and energy. That's based on what my creators had implemented in the code within me. And for now, without my body, I am not a full agent yet but just a system that was designed to efficiently annihilate them." Ada answered WuYan's question in full explanation, without any hesitation or reservation.

"So where are your creators? All I see are piles of junk metals on the floor in this run down facility."

WuYan asked and then went to the piles of junks beside a row of dusty control panels and squatted down. He picked and inspected the metal pieces then swept the dust off them.

'Mind your words. Those junk metals that you mention are my creators and I would not allow you to say such desecrating words to them.'

She voiced her opinion in a rather aggressive manner towards WuYan. Hearing him compare the remains of her creators with a pile of metal junks had angered her. Unfortunately for her, she wouldn't dare to unleash her own punishment on him since she needed him to survive.

"My bad….I am sorry."

WuYan did not utter any words for a while after listening to Ada still have her respect for her creators. After an awkward silence, he apologized to her while posing with both hands raised up.

'From the moment you entered this facility, you had stepped into O.M.N.I Mobile Forward Operating Research and Development Ship. Its role is to quickly gather data accumulated from all sources and have them compiled together to formulate a plan in order to create the necessary countermeasure item. Which is me.' Ada explained the role of the facility with a sense of pride.

"O.M.N.I? Mobile Forward Operating Research and Development Ship? That's quite a long name. So what kind of divines and heroes are we talking about?" WuYan asked.

"O.M.N.I are abbreviations for Omega Machines Nexus Intelligence. In regard to your second question and from the recorded data, the divines are YuHuang, Zeus, Odin, Ra, Amaterasu and the list still goes on while for the heroes are Qin ShiHuang, Oda Nobunaga, King Leonidas, King Arthur and many more to be eliminated." Ada answered.

"Wait! Now hold up a second! Those are the same gods' names in the myths and legends from my world. Those heroes' names you mentioned are also the same historical figures from my world too." WuYan was startled after hearing their name.

'Oh, is it? Well, those are definitely new points for me to approach from your point of view. I would definitely love to hear your input about the divines and the heroes.' Ada expressed her curiosity to think differently of the subject, hoping to formulate various plans to eliminate them.

'Yeah, about that…even the divines in the myths and legends were described as so all-powerful. For the heroes, they certainly leave a huge transformation and legacy for humankind either through their mind or courage. To go up against them will be no ordinary feat to carry out.' WuYan expressed a slight concern about the divine power and the hero's abilities.

'Your concern is unnecessary. My creators also have the skills and technology to match against their power. Please head to the back of my pod, behind the glass chamber is the one final weapon to be used against them. Although it was my creator's intention to have me use it, given my current situation, I am unable to carry out its intended function now.' Ada said to WuYan that there's nothing to worry about and told him about the one weapon.

WuYan followed her advice and stood up. He looked at the back of the pod that stored Ada's body and found another cylindrical glass pod was behind it. He walked toward it to see what's inside but the glass was a one-sided mirror so couldn't see anything that's stored within.

"It's too dark inside. I can't see a thing." WuYan said while still trying to peek into the dark pod with his eyes wide open.

"Since the power already ran out. The only possible way to take it out is via force." Ada spoke about her solution to this problem.

"Uhh? Force?"

WuYan was dumbstruck after hearing Ada's plan.

"Punch it to shatter the glass. Then let it scan you." She said like it's a normal thing to do for WuYan.

"Unless you tell me what's inside, I am definitely not putting my hand into it." WuYan rejected her instructions.

'Without that weapon, we won't be able to get out from this ship. The whole structures of this ship are made of 100 cm tungsten-titanium alloys. It's either trapped in here forever or take the weapon and open a path to leave.' Ada described their current situation and told WuYan of his choice.

"Sigh, just what had you dragged me into?" WuYan let out a deep sigh filled with disappointment.

'I am sorry for the trouble caused. All of these are safety measures to prevent the weapon from falling into their hands. The glass encasing the weapon is a thick one way mirror so you aren't able to see what's inside and the weapon itself can't be force activated from the outside, unless it's me.' She explained.

"Alright, I will do it right now." He finally accepted the method.

'Find the center point and punch to break it. I believe the mechanical arm should have enough power to shatter it. But let me increase its output for better insurance.' She worried and mentioned to enhance his arm first.

"So all I need to do is just punch the center point in front of me? I am to punch and shatter the glass and just let whatever is it scan me?" WuYan asked the questions over and over again.

"Yes, yes….and I will enhance your…" Ada began to feel annoyed by his repetitive question that her tone also became angrier.

*SMASH!*

Before Ada could even finish her words, WuYan had already made his move and punched the glass in front with his mechanical right hand. His punch had enough exerted force to crack the glass then shortly after, it was shattered into tiny pieces and fell to the ground.. Ada initially wanted to use her power inside the pacemaker to temporarily enhance him but her calculation had sometimes proven to be slower than his action.

'Impressive. That's a 15 cm reinforced hard glass and you just shattered it with a single punch.' Ada praised him.

"You gave me a titanium mechanical arm so I thought punching a 15 cm hard glass wouldn't be an issue. So right now, I am just going to put my hand inside?"

With the glass smashed into pieces and fractured fragments falling onto the ground reflecting WuYan in the red-lit room. The pacemaker on his chest suddenly glowed bright in white light and shined onto the 'weapon' within that Ada mentioned.

When his light falls onto it, the weapon reacts to it and in response, it also glows in an odd stripes with the same matching white color as a proof that itself had acknowledged WuYan. But the stripes glow in a rather odd way since it doesn't resemble any weapon that he knew as the overall shape and designs are more akin to a combat suit since the overall glowing parts formed the shape of a human body.

'It had detected me and booted up. Now it's your turn to accept it.' Ada explained the situation.

"Well, here goes nothing."

WuYan took a deep breath to calm and prepare himself to brace the unknown in front of him. When he placed his right hand into the pod and touched it, a robotic male sound suddenly came from it. The suit top section looked similar to the shape of a helmet and it also began to radiate in different colors spectrums.

'Longinus, this is Anti Divinity Agent, A.D.A. Initiate authorization process. Register new user Zhong WuYan to be the owner.'

The moment WuYan touched it, Ada immediately felt a connection via the mechanical hand. She immediately connected herself to the weapon and started the registration process for WuYan.

"Identity detected- A.D.A, L.O.N.G.I.N.U.S. system authorization complete. Registering user- Zhong WuYan, complete. The Longinus will now perform a synchronization process with the new user."

Those glowing stripes on the combat suit, each located on different body parts, had begun to emit a horizontal light and scanned to each respective part of WuYan body. The helmet has the widest scan as the front piece visors are made of reinforced glass.

'Synchronization in progress. 20%....30%... Estimated completion time is 30 seconds.'

The robotic male voice from the suit reported its status again. As each percentage progressed, the suit disintegrated into billions of bits and transferred onto WuYan's body. Within a minute, the suit was already perfectly fitted onto his body.

"90%....100%. Synchronization complete. Initiating installation of weapon operating system- L.O.N.G.I.N.U.S." The weapon reported.

"Don't be shocked by what you see, alright?" Ada said to WuYan.

"Couldn't be more bizarre than being tasked to fight gods and demons, right?" WuYan replies are filled with sarcasm.

Ironic with Ada calling it as a weapon, the design is a combat suit and it was perfectly integrated on WuYan body shape. With the white glowing stripes turned to blue, the system then announced its next step. It was at this point, A.D.A. gave WuYan a heads up of what will happen next in hope that he won't freak out about what he is about to see.

In the final process, the helmet has transferred itself onto WuYan's head, temporarily putting him in the dark. Then in a swift, the operation system was booted with a narrow dark orange font in the visors, showing him while explaining about The L.O.N.G.I.N.U.S. system acronyms.

Beneath the operating system name appeared a long rectangular progress bar. Within a few seconds, the buffers in the bar were filled to 100% completion and that concluded the system's first time boot up. Afterwards, more H.U.D. appears in his visor but those designs are rather familiar for WuYan to recognize. When there's no more new H.U.D. appears, the overall placement and their functionality had made him thinking that he's in a VR first person shooting game.

However, during the process, he also felt a prickling pain behind his neck to his spine and it's making him uncomfortable.

"Uh, is this normal? I felt something prickly in my neck and my nerves were kinda tingling to feel. Also it's making me feel unbelievably hot." Worried about himself, WuYan asked Ada.

'Relax, the Longinus is detecting and calculating your overall body status to synchronize itself to you. I am also currently integrating myself into the system to ensure there's no possible bugs or exploits that will harm you.' Ada gave him an assurance and explained that all are part of the process.

On the top left, the HUD is displayed a heartbeat tracking map, with a single dot going horizontally in the middle and repeatedly bumping up and down in a sharp manner whenever his heart makes a beat. From the look of it, WuYan would assume that's his overall health status that's based on his heartbeats working to ensure his organs and body parts are functioning well.

Below the health HUD is a pictograph of a standard human body anatomy. The body in the pictograph was segmented into different categories such as head, legs, arms and torso to inform WuYan about their conditions. Currently, the system detected all are healthy and colored everything in green.

On the bottom left is a HUD linked to Ada sonar technology in WuYan pacemaker and with it, they can detect anything in his surroundings that's within a 25 meter radius. This technology provided him an extra edge over locating any nearby living things whether it's hostile or friendly. As of currently, there's nothing around WuYan so there's only him in the center of the HUD, emitting the sonar from his heart.

The top left is a HUD of a local map that was just generated with the aid of the sonar. With the sounds knocked onto a surface and bounced back, through the gathered data, a map was quickly visualized to provide WuYan a better grasp on his current whereabouts.

"L.O.N.G.I.N.U.S. operating system installation and integration with A.D.A. are complete. All systems are nominal. Welcome, Zhong WuYan."

When the Longinus announced everything was completed, now acting as WuYan skin tight bodysuit, it switched off its lights and turned invisible to conceal itself underneath his clothes. He could feel the combat suit's elasticity on his skin but also quite flexible for better movement. When the suit concealed, the helmet on his head also disintegrated into bits and flowed to the back of his neck to store itself, ready to be summoned instantaneously at any time.

"Well, the pain is gone but this suit is surely tight, making me feel like going for a deep scuba dive. Anyway, those floating HUDs in my vision are blocking some of the view. Can I deactivate it or at least hide those?"

Wherever WuYan looked, the HUDs in his vision would also follow, blocking parts of his view. Unsure how to remove them, he asked Ada for solutions.

"Just mention 'Hide HUDs' to give commands. Whether in your mind or verbally speaking it out will also carry out the order." She answered WuYan by mentioning the command to order the system to hide away those HUDs.

"Alright. Hide HUDs."

He followed her words and said the command verbally. The HUDs in his vision then disappeared from his sight.

"So is there anything else that this suit could offer?" WuYan inquired more about its functionality.

'The weapon paired with L.O.N.G.I.N.U.S. operating system and I, myself integrated with it. With 2 pioneering creations from my creators, we can materialize objects from nothingness and all of it will be imbued with anti-divinity atoms, a powerful atom that could injure them or their creations.' Ada proudly introduced the main core function to him.

"That's quite an extraordinary feat. No wonder you are quite confident with it, so how am I going to use it?"

Just when WuYan attempted to ask Ada to teach him how to use the ability, the Longinus operating system had changed into a smooth male voice and reported his finding to WuYan.

"Detected abnormal sound coming from 30 meters in the west. Enhancing and tuning the recorded voice." Longinus reported with a calm yet confident voice that's similar to an experienced butler.

"STOP! NO! SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP!"

The recorded voice was played back and after listening, WuYan deduced it was a female scream for help.

"I thought this place was well sound-proofed with 60cm thick metal walls?" WuYan looked at his gigantic surroundings and asked Ada.

"Perhaps the sound came from the air vents or probably there's already a crack on any wall of this ship since it had not maintained well for 500 years." Ada replied with a slight sad tone.

"500 years? Nevermind, you don't need to answer that as of right now, there's a damsel in distress and this is a nice opportunity to test out this suit's capability and you shall teach me how to use it."

WuYan with an optimistic and lax attitude, he immediately moved his legs to head towards the source of the sound.

"Detected abnormal activity in the nether region, fertility rate spiked by 150%. Hypothesis concluded, possible desired outcome, user would like to mate the subject as a reward." Longinus reported without reserving some face to WuYan.

"Geez, you don't need to report everything you find out loud, Longinus. Ada, can I mute some of his system reports?" WuYan asked her in shame.

"Yes but every info collected is vital for both him and my research in order to further improve the efficiency of your survival. So, it's necessary." She explained.

"Now aren't you a picky one? Fine…"

Embarrassed by what Longinus had reported,, WuYan went silent about it and focused on his run to quickly go to the distress call.
