Kelly woke up from bed with a frown.She had nightmares so she couldn't sleep well and she felt that this day was going to be a bad one.Her phone began ringing and her brows creased together.She picked the phone and answered the call."Hey Sam, what's up?"She said,still drowsy."Kelly,you just woke up?"Samantha asked her voice slightly irritated."Yeah, anything wrong with it.It's not like I have to do something very important today at work."Kelly said with the intention of going to bed for some few minutes.
Samantha nearly screamed at her but she composed herself and said,"you are acting as Tristan's secretary starting today and you are now awake.Ah!Kelly."Kelly instantly jumped out of the bed and her eyes almost popped out.How could she have forgotten."Oh yes,I...I..oh,sorry Sam.I'm getting ready right now.How could I have forgotten?"Kelly said with haste."Calm down Kelly.Just get ready and make sure you take care of all his needs.Be careful,your first day as his secretary is going to be very bad."Samantha said and Kelly nodded everytime even though Samantha was not there to see it.
After the call,Kelly got ready for work.Her expression showed that she was not in a good mood as she entered the company's building.She did not even go to her office but instantly rushed to Tristan's office praying he was also late.She knocked,composing herself.After no response,she let out a breathe she didn't realize she was holding.
She opened the door,her expression better than earlier but when she saw the person she had hoped not to see sitting in his seat and looking at her coldly,her heart nearly jumped out of her chest.She smiled slightly and said,"Mr.CEO."Her voice betrayed her expression.She was not calm but anxious.He realized it but his expression was still cold."You are late."He spat out as he looked at her.
She lowered her head and mumbled something before explaining certain things which she was sure and clear that he was not listening to."Are you done?"He asked and that was when she realized he was slowly getting angry."Yes,I will bring you your schedule for today, sir."She said and hurriedly left the room.
Her heartbeat slowly returned to normal as she arranged some files for him to sign and handed the schedule over to him.He looked at it and frowned but said nothing.For the first hours of the day,he was free and it meant she was also free.She left to her office and was greeted by Rachel.She relaxed in her seat and breathed in and out slowly.She kept telling herself that everything was going to be alright and things would return to how they were after Samantha comes back.
After some hours of freedom,she got out of her office to her 'Alpha's office.She had named Tristan that instead of 'Mr.Cold face' which was after a careful consideration by her.She remembered what Mr.Bates had said of Tristan being a jerk sometimes and smiled.The first of his meetings today would begin soon so she hurried to his office to remind him.According to the information Samantha gave her, Tristan's lunch meetings were important and this one was a lunch meeting so she dared not neglect it.
Soon,they were at the venue for the meeting.It was a restaurant that was situated not far from the company.There was a reserved restaurant room for them and with him in the lead,they went to their reserved place and waited for the other business partners.This meeting was with the CEO of Nexa Corp,one of the renowned companies in the country.He was known as a hardworking business man,Martin Taylor.
According to the information she had the meeting was related to the ownership of a piece of land in the capital of the city that Tristan wanted to buy.She started to wonder why he wanted that piece of land but she dared not ask him.After waiting for a while,a middle aged man with a faint smile on his face came in with a woman who she suspected was his secretary behind him."Ah,it seems we are late.Sorry Tristan."The man said still maintaining his smile though Tristan had a cold expression.
He took his seat and looked at Kelly standing behind Tristan.His eyes flashed with a strange light as he admired her beauty."Hahaha, Tristan you have a new beautiful lady by your side."Martin said and he seemed to be very familiar with Tristan so he sounded somehow informal."May I have the pleasure of knowing your name,pretty goddess."He continued when Tristan said nothing.His words caused Kelly to blush slightly but she still answered him.He smiled after knowing her name.
"Let us get to business."Tristan's cold voice sounded and Martin nodded.The two spoke of the land and Tristan tried convincing him to give the land to him.He gave generous rewards and their conversation was going on well.From time to time,Martin would look in Kelly's direction which made her feel uncomfortable.She focused on putting down certain things in her book but Martin's gaze sometimes became intense which made her uneasy.
"Alright then.It's settled."Martin said with a smile.Tristan had gotten the land and the deal was complete.Kelly breathed out in relief when she realized they would be leaving soon.It was lunch and she was already feeling hungry yet the two CEO's were discussing business and did not touch the food on their table.This annoyed her but she also did not like the looks Martin would pass to her from time to time."I hope we will cooperate more in the future Tristan."Martin said with a smile and offered Tristan a handshake.The latter nodded and wished for a better cooperation with the former and left with Kelly following close behind.
Martin's faint smile turned into a lustful one when they were gone and he gestured his secretary to get closer."Provide me with all the information of that Kelly girl and get some men to capture her for me."He said and his secretary nodded.
