Chapter 137 - An unexpected event

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV

And then the unexpected happened... We were prepared against all eventualities, however we didn't didn't turn of events coming.

"Your Majesty, My Luna" a warrior almost out of breath shouted while running towards Jason and I. "It's Eden. He has just been kidnapped by two Black Faes." He thereafter added.

A cold wave of dread washed over me at the words, my heart dropping into the pit of my stomach. "What do you mean he's been kidnapped?" I demanded, my voice rising with urgency. "How could this happen?"

The warrior, his face pale, struggled to catch his breath as he continued, "He was helping with the preparations near the edge of the camp when they struck. We didn't see them coming. They were quick—like shadows. By the time we reacted, they had taken him."

Jason's expression shifted from shock to fury, his jaw tightening as he processed the information. "We need to act immediately," he said, his voice low and resolute. "Gather our best warriors. We will track them down and bring Eden back."

I felt a surge of panic and resolve mingling within me. "I'm coming with you," I said, my voice steady despite the storm of emotions raging inside me. "He's my son. I won't let them take him without a fight."

Jason looked at me, his blue eyes filled with a mixture of admiration and concern. "Kelly, you need to stay here and protect the pack. We can't risk losing you too."

"No," I insisted, my heart racing. "Eden needs me. We can't let the Black Faes use him as leverage against us. I won't leave him in their hands."

The warrior who had brought the news nodded, his expression turning serious. "We'll need to split up to cover more ground. If we can figure out which direction they went, we might be able to catch them before they get too far."

"Then let's move," I commanded, adrenaline coursing through my veins. "We'll track them down together. Jason, lead the way. I'll be right beside you."

As we gathered our warriors, a sense of urgency hung in the air. The battlefield that had been filled with camaraderie and determination just moments ago now felt heavy with the weight of fear and uncertainty. The echoes of laughter and celebration were replaced by the sounds of hurried footsteps and hushed voices as we prepared for the search.

We set out under the cover of night, the moon casting a silvery glow over our path. I felt the familiar grip of fear tightening around my heart, but I pushed it aside, focusing instead on the need to bring Eden home. I could not allow the darkness to claim him, not now, not ever.

As we moved through the trees, I scanned the ground for any signs of struggle or tracks. The forest was eerily silent, the usual sounds of nocturnal creatures replaced by a heavy stillness. It was as if the world itself held its breath in anticipation of the confrontation to come.

"Over here!" Jason's voice broke through the silence as he pointed to a faint trail leading deeper into the woods. "They went this way. Stay alert."

We followed the trail, the tension palpable as we moved swiftly and silently. Each rustle of leaves or snap of a twig sent my heart racing. I could feel the magic within me stirring, the urgency of the situation igniting a fire in my veins. I was a warrior, and I would do whatever it took to protect my family.

As we delved deeper into the forest, a sense of unease settled over me. The darkness felt thicker here, wrapping around us like a shroud. I could sense the presence of the Black Faes lurking just beyond the trees, their dark magic seeping into the air.

Suddenly, a chilling laugh echoed through the night, sending shivers down my spine. "You think you can save him? You're too late, Kelly!" The Black Faes leader's voice rang out, dripping with malice. "Your son is mine now!"

"Show yourself!" I shouted, my voice steady despite the fear gnawing at my insides. "You will not harm him!"

"Such bravery," he taunted, his voice echoing through the trees. "But you're a fool to think you can defeat me again. The darkness has only just begun to awaken!"

Jason stepped forward, his expression fierce. "We will fight for our son, The Black Faes leader. You will not get away with this!"

"Very well," he sneered, his dark figure materializing from the shadows. "Let's see if your precious unity can withstand the storm!"

With a snap of his fingers, the air crackled with dark energy, and the shadows erupted around us. I felt the weight of his magic pressing in, but I stood my ground, my heart resolute.

"Stay together!" I shouted to my warriors, my voice rising above the chaos. "We will fight for Eden!"

The battle erupted once more, chaos reigniting as we clashed against the darkness. The air was filled with the sounds of combat—swords clanging, spells crackling, and the cries of warriors as we fought against the Black Faes.

I felt the power of my pack surrounding me, their energy intertwining with mine as we faced the darkness head-on. Each strike, each spell cast, was fueled by the love and determination to protect our family.

But even as we fought, I could feel the shadows closing in. The Black Faes were relentless, their dark magic swirling around us like a tempest. I could see The Black Faes leader at the center of it all, his eyes gleaming with malevolence as he unleashed his fury upon us.

"Your unity will crumble!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the chaos. "You will lose everything!"

"No!" I shouted back, channeling every ounce of strength I possessed. "We will not back down! We will fight for our son, and we will win!"

With a surge of energy, I pushed back against the darkness, feeling the light within me rise to meet the challenge. My warriors rallied around me, their determination igniting a fire in our hearts as we faced the shadows together.

As the battle raged on, I caught a glimpse of movement in the corner of my eye. There, amidst the chaos, was Eden—bound and surrounded by Black Faes, his eyes wide with fear.

"Eden!" I shouted, my heart racing. "I'm coming for you!"

With renewed determination, I fought my way through the throngs of darkness, my heart focused solely on reaching my son. Each step felt like a battle in itself, the shadows clawing at me as I pushed forward.

But as I drew closer, The Black Faes leader stepped in front of me, a smirk on his face. "You think you can save him? You'll have to go through me first!"

I squared my shoulders, my heart pounding in my chest. "I will do whatever it takes to protect my son!"

With a fierce battle cry, I charged at The Black Faes leader, my sword raised high. The air crackled with energy as our powers collided, the light of my magic meeting the darkness of his.

The world around us faded away as we fought, the chaos of the battle becoming a distant echo in my ears. All that mattered was Eden, and I would not let anything stand in my way.

As our powers surged, I felt the energy of my pack behind me, their strength bolstering my resolve. This was a fight not just for my son, but for all of us—for our future and the legacy we were building together.

With one final surge of energy, I pushed back against The Black Faes leader, the light within me shining brighter than the darkness that threatened to consume us. "You will not take my son!" I shouted, unleashing a wave of power that sent The Black Faes leader staggering back.

In that moment, I broke through the darkness, reaching Eden and cutting through the bindings that held him captive. "I've got you, sweetheart," I said, pulling him close as I felt the warmth of his small body against mine.

"Mom!" he cried, relief flooding his voice. "I was so scared!"

"I know," I whispered, tears of relief pricking at my eyes. "But you're safe now. We're together, and we will fight this darkness."

As I held him close, I felt the strength of my warriors surrounding us, their determination igniting a fire within me. We would stand united against the shadows, and together we would prevail.

But even as we embraced, I could feel the darkness closing in around us once more. The Black Faes leader was regaining his footing, and I knew we had to act fast.

"Jason!" I called out, my voice filled with urgency. "We need to finish this!"

Jason's fierce gaze met mine, his determination unwavering. "Together," he said, raising his sword high. "For our family!"

With Eden safely in my arms, we prepared to confront the darkness once more. The battle raged around us, but I felt a renewed sense of hope blossoming within me. We were stronger together, and no darkness could extinguish the light we held within our hearts.

As we faced The Black Faes leader, I felt the magic of the moon surging through me, a powerful force ready to be unleashed. "This ends now, The Black Faes leader!" I shouted, my voice ringing with conviction.

With a united front, we charged at him, our powers colliding in a blinding flash of light and dark. The air crackled with energy as we fought against the shadows, determined to protect our family and our future.

And as the stars twinkled overhead, I knew that our unity would prevail. We had faced the darkness together, and together we would continue to fight, determined to protect everything we held dear.

In this moment of chaos and conflict, I realized that the true power of our alliance lay not just in our strength, but in the love and determination that bound us together. We were a family, and no darkness could ever tear us apart.

As the final clash echoed through the night, I felt a surge of hope rising within me. We would face whatever came next, united in our love and our fight for a brighter future.

And as the dust of battle settled around us, I knew in my heart that we were ready to stand against the darkness, together.
