Early in the morning Sophie moved through the woods that was near the cabin, she was lost in thought because of what had happened the past few weeks.
It was just beginning to feel like she belonged here, not just as Darius's mate but as part of something so much bigger.
But that sense of belonging disappeared when a great sound behind her made her turn around.
"Hello, Sophie," Luke's voice was filled with anger.
Sophie froze.
He was resting casually against a tree, his arms was folded, but there was nothing casual about the dangerous feeling that he is giving off.
"What are you doing here, Luke?" she demanded, her heart pounding.
"Just tying up some loose ends," he said, moving closer.
Sophie instinctively backed away. "If you think you are going to hurt me, Darius will.. "
"Darius is actually not here, and by the time he come to find you, it will already be too late." Luke interrupted, his smirk widening.
