Chapter 1 - Winters' Road to Awakening and Revenge

Inside the huge, dark underground castle, Winters' breath fell weakly to the floor, his limbs curled up and trembling slightly.

Her arms and legs were imprisoned by huge chains.

Winters tried to stand up, but it was clear that her strength was failing her.

"Why me?"

She reached out to grab the male serpentine in front of her.

Chris kicked her pale, bloodstained hand away.

"Chris, have you ever loved me?"

The tall male snake man didn't answer her words as he stood up in silence and patted his pants leg.

His eyes went to Avery, the hot female snakeman next to him.

"What a ridiculous joke, Winters, you're nothing but a low-blooded wolfdog."

Avery leaned down and grabbed and pulled Winters' hair hard.

"Love? How could the honorable Lord Chris love a wolf dog like you, you are a disgrace to the Sutherland family."

A wolfhound?

She was clearly the dynasty's most honored female lord Winters Sutherland.

"Winters, the Carpe family will inherit Sutherland, you hand over the crystal scepter and for old times' sake, I will spare your life."

Avery's serpentine tail wrapped around Chris' well-muscled arm.

The laughter of betrayal echoed in Winters' ears like a cold, hard sword stirring her heart.

This turned out to be the man she'd given up her identity to love.

A few days ago, Chris had told her he would rebuild the prosperity of the Sutherland dynasty with her.

So this was all a lie.

From the beginning to the end, the Capay family only wanted to annex Sutherland.

Suddenly realizing this, Winters trembled slightly, anger and pain welling up inside her.

"A scepter? You dream!" She would rather die than give them Sutherland's crystal scepter.

"If I could do it all over again, I would make you all pay."

Blood continued to pour out of Winters' mouth, and her eyes were filled with unwilling hatred.

Everyone wanted Sutherland's crystal scepter, but they didn't know that it didn't even exist in this world.

Avery was so angry that she took out her sharp knife and viciously Ben tried to stab her in the palm of her hand, but she didn't realize that Winster had transformed into a wolf body and met her heart to it.

"No... Winster!"

A loud roar swept through the castle.

A bolt of lightning streaked across the night sky, not as painful as expected.

Winters suddenly felt a strange force arise in his body, and for a moment his soul was ripped out.

Everything went quiet.

Darkness enveloped the area for an unknown period of time.

The night was silent with the sound of insects.

Accompanied by the howling of wolf pups.

Winters held her head and morphed into a human body, straining to crawl out of a swamp.

She had a large gash on her leg from a wolf bite, which stung a little from mixing with the mud.

"Damn, where is this?"

She looked down and saw that her arms and legs had gotten quite small.

Winters fought through the pain and ran to a small pool of water not far away and stuck her head out to look at it.

The moonlight shone on her pale, flawless face.

"What am I ... doing?"

Avery's knife had stabbed her in the heart, there was no way she could have survived.

Her face wasn't scratched, and there were no traces of abuse on her body except for the wounds on her legs.

Reborn, must be reborn.

She laughed at first, then cried out.

The old legends of Sutherland turned out to be true.

Wolf kings who died with hatred would have a chance to be reborn.

Even though there was no coronation ceremony, the Sutherland family still recognized her identity.

It was ridiculous!

In her previous life, she would have abandoned her clan for a lowly serpent.

Since everything started from scratch, she would take back everything that belonged to her.

Winters stroked the wound on her leg and revealed a smile.

The leg was bitten by Eric and the others if he remembered correctly.

Since she was the youngest Lordess of Massa, a lot of the Sutherland family had their eyes on her.

There were a lot of stupid wolves who had ambushed her since she was a child and wanted her dead.

In her last life, Winters listened to her godmother's words and didn't fight back to kill any of her fellow clan members, but in return, she was designed to be locked up in the dirtiest prison in the castle.

Winters hated Chris's heartlessness, and she also hated these wolf-eating clans.

As the wind blew through the forest, Winters climbed a tree with her injured leg, she stood carefully and looked into the distance.

The brightly lit Massa Castle was cloaked in mystery in the darkness.

This time, she needed to rearrange her layout.

Sporadic fires gathered with shouts.

The servants with torches below spotted Winters in the tree, interrupting her thoughts.

"Ms. Winters, what are you doing? It's dangerous up there, come down."

Selwang took a ladder and set it up on the tree, and he carefully and clumsily climbed up.

The wolves of Massa did not show their wolf bodies under normal circumstances.

Winters looked down at Selwang, who was on all fours, and shed a tear as she remembered his death in a previous life when he was quartered by a wagon.

Selwang saw the wound on her leg and frowned on it: "I'm sorry," he said:

"Ms. Winters, are they bullying you again?"

"I just fell by accident, did Mrs. Beatrice send you?"

Winters didn't want to spill her guts now because it would only be her who would suffer, her stepmother Beatrice Sutherland wasn't in the habit of sticking up for her.

"You forget that tomorrow is your birthday and tonight is the night to meet the Duke of Massa."

Winters fell silent, if she remembered correctly, tomorrow was her twelfth birthday, and Duke Massa would be dying of an illness the following week.

Selwang transformed into her wolf form and put her on her back humping her nimbly as she climbed down the tree.
