"I'm already the highest-leveled player, and it's only been 30 minutes since the game started. But level alone won't cut it."
Auron rested his chin between his thumb and forefinger, deep in thought.
"I need to kill some monsters and gather at least some basic gear if I want to stand a chance at completing the Beastmaster Quest."
He exited and sprinted toward the outskirts of Auriel's Dawn, heading for the 'Eldergrove', an ancient forest zone meant for level 50 players.
Unlike the Abysswalker trigger, which required precise positioning, the Beastmaster questline began with a rare item: A [Primordial Beast Egg]. It was hidden within the Eldergrove's treetop maze, a platforming nightmare that deterred most players.
The Eldergrove was quiet as Auron entered, its towering trees and bioluminescent flora casting shifting shadows. A faint roar in the distance. He was severely under-leveled for the area. He was level one.
Auron ignored the warning signs. He navigated the maze with practiced experience, he was a veteran after all. Climbing twisted roots and leaping between narrow platforms until he reached a hollow in the tallest tree.
Inside was the egg. Its surface shimmered with shifting colors, and the air around it pulsed faintly, as if alive. Auron picked it up carefully, triggering a notification.

The moment the notification appeared, the tree trembled violently. A deafening roar filled the grove as a massive [Primordial Wyvern] emerged, its emerald eyes locking onto Auron.

He smirked. "Of course they wouldn't make it easy."
Auron activated [Abyssal Step], teleporting out of the Wyvern's immediate reach as it lunged. He knew he couldn't defeat it outright. His level was far too low, but the quest didn't require him to fight. He needed to 'survive.'
The Primordial Wyvern loomed over Auron, a massive, unrelenting force of destruction. At Level 50, it could annihilate him with a single misstep. Auron's mind worked in overdrive, decades of experience feeding his instincts.
The wyvern unleashed a roar, its massive wings kicking up a gust that nearly knocked him off balance.
Every time the the creature uses a skill a notification appears
Primordial Breath (Active):
Releases a devastating energy blast that deals 8,000 + (Magic Attack x 1.5) in a 30-meter cone.
• Cooldown: 30 seconds
• Effect: Leaves a lingering Ethereal Burn (20% Magic Attack damage per second for 5 seconds).
The Primordial Wyvern towered over Auron, its menacing form radiating lethal intent. At Level 50, it was far beyond his current abilities as a fledgling Level 1 player. Auron knew direct confrontation was suicide; survival depended entirely on exploiting his knowledge of the game's mechanics and advanced strategies from his past life.
The wyvern reared back, its wings unfurling as it prepared to unleash a Primordial Breath.

Auron anticipated the move, sprinting toward a cluster of trees with calculated precision. As the beast exhaled, a fiery inferno scorched the grove,
However, Auron had already activated the Tumble technique. a basic evasion skill all players started with. The move launched him into a controlled roll, narrowly clearing the blast radius.
In order to learn combat techniques, it requires one to comprehend the truth of the technique as well as heavy practice. Most experts would be capable of learning Basic and Intermediate techniques. But as Auron is a veteran at the game he used the combat techniques from memory
"Predictable," His breathing steady despite the mess. His eyes scanned the area, cataloging the environment. The grove's layout, the rocks, the trees, even the faint patterns of the wyvern's movements. All details his veteran instincts dissected in seconds.
The wyvern lunged, claws carving through the ground. Auron activated Sprint, another combat tecnique, burning precious stamina to gain temporary speed.
Instead of fleeing in a straight line, he zigzagged toward a boulder, forcing the creature to adjust its aim repeatedly. The wyvern's massive talons scraped past him, gouging the earth mere inches away.
"Too slow," he whispered, a thin grin forming.
He reached the boulder and scaled it swiftly, activating Quick Climb, a combat skill most beginners couldn't master easily. He positioned himself atop the rock, baiting the wyvern into another strike.
The beast snarled, its tail whipping forward with immense force. Auron leapt down just as the tail obliterated the boulder. The shards provided a brief smokescreen, which he used to slip behind a thick tree.
He crouched, activating Stealth, a rudimentary combat skill that rendered him temporarily undetectable to creatures without advanced perception. This technique was mostly practiced by assasin type classes, useful for doing ambushes.
Auron remained motionless, counting the seconds. Stealth wouldn't last long, but it was enough to gain a slight advantage. The wyvern's attention shifted elsewhere, and Auron took the opportunity to dash toward a nearby ledge.
His stamina was dwindling rapidly, but the quest marker was just ahead. The wyvern landed behind him with a ground-shaking thud, unleashing another Primordial Breath.
Auron reacted instantly, activating Tumble again and diving into a shallow crevice. The blast scorched the area behind him, but he emerged unscathed, his clothes singed at the edges.
The wyvern roared, its frustration palpable, but Auron was already moving. He vaulted over a fallen tree and slid into the golden glow of the quest marker. The air shimmered around him as the system registered his completion. A barrier of light flared to life, halting the wyvern's advance just as its claws swiped forward.
Breathing heavily, Auron turned to face the creature. It snarled, snapping its jaws at the barrier, but it couldn't reach him.
"Not bad for a Level 1," he muttered, his lips curling into a smirk.
Auron collapsed to his knees, his stamina fully drained, his breaths ragged. Behind him, the wyvern slammed into the barrier, snarling and clawing at the edge of the magical shield.
He glanced back at the creature, sweat dripping from his brow. "Perfect execution," he murmured with a faint smirk, though his shaking hands betrayed the strain. "Still got it."
The glow flared brighter, and a soft chime filled the air, signaling the quest's completion.
As he reached it, the egg in his hands cracked open, revealing a small, spectral fox-like creature with glowing blue eyes. A notification appeared.

The fox leaped onto Auron's shoulder, its presence calming the Wyvern instantly. The massive beast roared one final time before vanishing into the shadows.
Panting but triumphant, Auron examined his updated stats.

He stroked the fox's head as it nuzzled against him. "Two paths in one life," he said quietly, a rare flicker of satisfaction in his voice. "Worldsinger doesn't stand a chance."
