After spending at least two hours scrolling mindlessly on my phone—watching weirdly satisfying videos of people peeling massive flakes off their scalps (don't judge me, it was fascinating)—I heard an obnoxious banging on the door.
"Rhiannon!"
BANG BANG BANG.
"RHIANNON, OPEN UP, YOU GREMLIN!"
I groaned, throwing my phone onto the bed before stomping toward the door. "What do you want, Alicia?"
"It's dinner time, you idiot!"
"So?"
"SO?!" Another violent bang. "DO YOU NOT WANT TO EAT?!"
…Fair point.
I did want to eat.
With a dramatic sigh, I flung the door open. "You could've just knocked like a normal person."
"*I did!" Alicia scowled. "And then I knocked like me because you ignored me for five minutes."
"Fine, fine," I grumbled. "Let's go before you bust the door down."
I grabbed my coat and followed her down the hallway, my stomach growling at the thought of food.
