When Maeve finally stopped her smug strutting and opened the door, I mentally prepared myself for the worst. Maybe the room would be tiny. Maybe the beds would be squished together. Maybe there would be only one bed.
I nearly collapsed in relief when I saw two beds.
But that relief was short-lived because damn, this room was nice.
The walls were lined with rich wooden panels, giving it a cozy yet luxurious feel. A giant window stretched across one side of the room, revealing a perfect view of the snowy mountains outside, the white peaks glowing under the sunlight.
A thick, plush carpet covered the floor, looking so soft that I was seriously considering just laying on it for the rest of the trip.
There were two queen-sized beds, spaced just far enough apart to ensure no accidental nighttime foot-touching.
