Rest.
Rest is supposed to be simple. You stay at home, eat food, sleep for as long as you want, and ignore any responsibilities for at least a week. That's what a break is. That's what normal people do.
But no. Not with Leora.
Leora had taken the concept of "rest" and turned it into some bizarre, expensive, chaotic field trip.
Instead of peacefully rotting in my apartment, here I was, standing in a crowded train station, surrounded by overly excited cooking students who, for some reason, actually wanted to spend their week skiing.
And the worst part? I was in charge of them.
Leora had made sure of it.
I adjusted my bag over my shoulder, scowling as I listened to the students chatter like a flock of hyperactive birds.
"I can't wait to try all the food at the ski lodge! I heard they have a full-course meal every night!"
"Who cares about food? I want to try snowboarding!"
