The morning air was crisp as I stepped outside the castle, stretching my arms above my head and breathing in deeply. The warmth from breakfast still lingered in my stomach, but I needed to walk it off, to let the fresh air clear my head.
It had been a chaotic morning, as expected when Leora was involved. Breakfast had been loud, full of laughter, and of course, Leora stealing all the credit for the meal we made together. Normally, I'd have argued more, but my mind was elsewhere.
Maeve.
I hated that I was still thinking about her.
I shook my head, trying to dispel the thought. The last thing I needed was to spiral. Walking outside was the best thing I could do for myself right now.
