I stared at Reagan wondering if he was joking or if he was dead serious but he had this stoic expression on his face that told me that he was actually serious about it, he meant what he said!
I scoffed in disbelief, looking away momentarily before I turned to look at him, hoping that he was going to turn to look at me and tell me that it was a joke but Reagan remained standing, leveling me with a look that was filled with unwavering intensity.
"You are not joking." I whispered the words out to myself more than him but it would seem that Reagan heard me.
"No." He replied, "I wasn't."
I chuckled but it was one without humor. "Why?" I asked him, "Why would you want me to give up something that…something that I do to help save people's life?" I asked my voice hoarse and sounding a bit tired.
