Damian froze, his breath hitching as his gaze fell to her exposed firm breasts, her nipples standing erect. His silver eyes darkened, and Storm surged forward with one single word. "Mine."
"Ours," Damian corrected.
At the same time, without a shred of restraint or rationale, Damian lifted her off her feet and carried her straight to the bed.
Evelina didn't realize what was happening until the backs of her knees hit the edge of the mattress. She gasped, her heart racing as Damian leaned over her, his gaze never leaving hers.
Their breathing was laboured, their pulses thundering.
Evelina felt her cheeks flush as Damian stared down at her, his expression inscrutable. Her dress was still bunched at her waist, and the cool air made her skin prickle.
For a moment, she thought she saw hesitation flicker in his gaze, but it was gone as soon as it appeared.
