Chapter 33 - Her Father's Wrath

After Lucien left, Aria felt her energy drain, the conversation having left her emotionally exhausted. She decided to retreat to her room, hoping for a brief moment of solitude to collect her thoughts. However, as she made her way down the dimly lit hallway, a servant approached her hastily.

"Princess Aria," the servant said, bowing deeply, his voice laced with nervousness, "His Majesty requests your immediate presence in his chamber."

Aria's heart sank at the words. Her mind raced, piecing together the reason for the sudden summons. The news must have reached his ears, she thought grimly. The broken and broken arranged marriage had undoubtedly caused an uproar, and now she was about to face her father's wrath.

There was no way to escape. Even if she wanted to, running would only make things worse. Suppressing a sigh, she lifted her chin and nodded at the servant. "Lead the way," she said, her voice steady despite the growing dread in her chest.
