A rough, hand-sized palm landed heavily on Yorkris's shoulder. His expression changed instantly, as a surge of overwhelming force shot through his body from the shoulder, sending him crashing backward into the wall. Dazed and disoriented, Yorkris couldn't respond in time.
"Brother!" Yolkriana screamed in shock, her face pale with fear. She quickly ran to Yorkris, lifting him up as he struggled to maintain his balance.
The onlookers turned to see a towering figure, at least two meters tall, standing where Yorkris had just been. The sheer height of the man created an oppressive pressure that was almost suffocating. His grotesque face showed a confused expression as he muttered in a low, gravelly voice, "What's this? So weak…"
"Holy…" Green's mind raced with a thousand thoughts, staring incredulously at the monstrous figure that had appeared so suddenly. He couldn't help but growl inwardly, "Are you sure you're here to study at the Wizard Academy and not the Knight Academy or the Human Freak Show? Did you grow up on steroids?"
Even Yorkris, pushed aside moments before, was too stunned to speak, staring at the creature before him, utterly dumbfounded.
"Ha ha, Andrew, you think everyone has as much strength as you?" The figure facing Yorkris laughed triumphantly, then winced as he rubbed his swollen eye. With a glare full of malice, he growled, "This isn't over!"
Just then, a man about 1.6 meters tall squeezed his way through the crowd, rushing up to the monstrous figure named Andrew. His triangular eyes darted around as he leered, saying in a sleazy tone, "Not over? Ha! You know, that guy's sister isn't bad at all. Baiyi, if you're not satisfied, why don't you…"
"Shut your mouth!" Yorkris roared as he charged at the sleazy man, knowing full well that this was the "rat" Baiyi had summoned.
Bang!
Yorkris was sent flying by a punch from Andrew, his face pale as he clutched his stomach, trembling with pain and barely able to stay upright.
Clearly, the two were not on the same level in terms of strength. Yorkris stood no chance against this monstrous foe.
"Boring, the Wizard told me not to kill anyone," Andrew said, cracking his wrist in a disappointed tone. He added with a sneer, "Trying to take territory when you're so weak? Hmph, only the strong deserve to claim land."
The rat by his side echoed mockingly, "Today, my brothers will teach you the rules of the Wizard Continent. The truth always lies with the one with the biggest fist. Ha ha." His expression was smug, as if he believed it was his punch that had rendered Yorkris speechless.
"This can't end like this! Baiyi has never suffered such a loss in his life, and today, I'm taking his sister!" Baiyi, now with one swollen eye, stormed toward Yolkriana, his gaze fiery with rage, like a bull about to charge.
Yolkriana, already terrified, trembled as she stood beside her brother. The others in the cabin looked on with detached expressions, as if this wasn't their problem, merely spectators awaiting a show.
The first day on the sea had already become a harsh lesson in the rules of the Wizard Continent, and all the students looked grim.
"You… if you dare hurt her, I'll tell Baron on the deck!" At this critical moment, Wade, who had been too afraid to step forward earlier, suddenly threatened. However, when faced with Baiyi's furious glare, he immediately wilted, waving his hands in protest, "Uh... I was just kidding."
Bang!
Baiyi knocked Wade out with a single swing, his lips curling in disdain as the crowd cheered, "Well done, oh yeah…"
"Another punch…"
Green and the others, standing in the cabin hallway, looked nervously at the spectators leaning out of the rooms to watch the commotion. A sense of isolation began to settle in.
Is this how things work in the Wizard World?
Indeed, cold and ruthless.
Just as despair began to settle over the crowd, a voice, tinged with both amusement and coldness, came from behind Green: "The strong control the territory? Oh... why didn't anyone tell me this rule earlier? Ha, fantastic! Big guy, I've taken a liking to your room. Here's your cabin's number."
With those words, a copper plaque was thrown at Andrew's bald head, clattering to the floor. Both Andrew and the rat by his side froze, staring at the scene in disbelief, unable to process what had just happened. Was this person out of their mind?
The crowd turned to see who had spoken, and to their surprise, it was Laffey!
Suddenly, realization dawned on Green and the others, their faces lighting up with hope. How could they have forgotten about her? With her mastery of magic, dealing with a brute like Andrew should be a piece of cake!
Sure enough, Laffey murmured an incantation under her breath and pointed at Andrew. In a flash, a massive vine wrapped around him, constricting him with such force that he lost his balance and crashed to the ground, groaning in agony.
"Bastard, die!" Yorkris, taking advantage of Baiyi's momentary shock, threw a punch into the other eye of the beast, and while Andrew was dazed, Yorkris drove his knee into his stomach, knocking him out.
"Ah… please, big brothers and sisters, I was forced! Spare me!" The rat, now pale and trembling, cried out in fear, his triangular eyes wide with panic, sweat pouring from his forehead.
He never expected that among this group was someone capable of binding Andrew with magic, rendering him powerless.
Green chuckled darkly, "Forced? Forced my ass. A weakling like you deserves to die!" Using his street-fighting skills from his childhood, Green easily knocked out the rat with a single punch.
The cabin fell deathly silent.
All eyes were on Laffey, who had used magic to subdue Andrew. The others, all from the remote island of East Coral, had no idea that she was wielding a magical artifact to perform such feats. They all thought she had somehow mastered magic herself, and awe and fear filled their hearts.
After all, this was magic—the power of the extraordinary!
"Ha ha, fantastic! Now I can live in the top deck cabin and not have to squeeze in with the sailors. Thank you, big guy!" Laffey said happily, entering her new room, slamming the door shut behind her with a resounding thud.
The spectators, realizing the drama had ended, closed their own doors and went back to their business. Green looked over at the three defeated figures and, uninterested, said to Yorkris and his sister, "Since it's over, I'll be heading back."
Yorkris, at a loss for words, felt a wave of embarrassment as he reflected on his earlier actions. He could only nod weakly in acknowledgment.
"Thank you, I... oh..." Yolkriana, understanding her brother's temperament, looked at Green with tear-filled eyes, her voice full of gratitude. "Thank you, we'll never forget what you did for us, and thank you, Wade."
Wade, who had just gotten to his feet with blackened eyes, gave a stiff, awkward smile before quickly leaving.
Binhansen, however, was delighted, laughing heartily, "The great people of Tambrosen can't stand to see their comrades being bullied. We'd walk through fire and climb mountains for our friends. Don't talk about a two-meter-tall monster, even an abyssal demon..."
Green, rolling his eyes, turned and walked away.
"Hey, hey, Green, wait up! That punch you threw earlier was the most stylish punch I've ever seen, so cool! With that, and your line, 'forced my mother,' I bet if our Sherry saw it, she'd ditch her boyfriend and throw herself into your arms..." Binhansen continued his relentless teasing in Green's ear.
A moment later, Green entered his room. The moment the door opened, a musty smell hit him, causing him to grimace. Thankfully, his room wasn't occupied by any unwelcome guests, or he would have had to fight.
That being said, if someone had dared to take his room, Green was confident that, given his combat abilities, dealing with them would have been a simple task.
The room was small, only about ten square meters, with just a bed, a table, and a chair. Of course, the bed was furnished with blankets, and the table had a candle holder.
"Ah…" Green sighed. While the cabin wasn't ideal, it was livable for now. He lit the candle, shut the door, and pulled out Meditation Guidance and Nose Transformation and Smell Chart.
Regarding Meditation Guidance, Green had successfully awakened his magical power after more than half a month of effort. However, based on his understanding, his magic was likely still in the range of 2-3, a preliminary activation state.
According to Meditation Guidance, a wizard's typical magical power level should be ten times their mental strength, forming a range of fluctuations.
Given Green's mental strength of 12, his magical fluctuations should be around 120.
"Too bad I don't have a crystal ball. I can't get an accurate assessment of my own condition," Green lamented. The crystal ball was a common magical artifact used by wizards for many purposes, one of which was to monitor one's magical status.
