POV: Hannah
Something felt wrong.
Sophie had been gone for hours, and it wasn't like her to disappear without a word.
I crossed my arms, my foot tapping against the floor as I stared at the clock. "She should have been back by now."
Mia sat on the couch, scrolling through her phone, her expression tense. "Maybe she just needed space?"
Daniel, standing by the window with his arms stiff at his sides, finally turned around. His jaw was clenched, his eyes dark. "Or maybe something happened to her."
The air in the room grew heavy.
I grabbed my phone and called her again. Straight to voicemail.
I turned to Daniel. "When was the last time you heard from her?"
He exhaled sharply. "She texted me before she left, saying she needed to clear her head." He ran a hand through his hair, looking restless. "That was over three hours ago."
Three hours was too long.
