Chapter 64 - Sending Kushina back

"Come on, I'll walk you home," Xin offered.

Minato wanted to walk Kushina home, but she wasn't giving him the chance.

"Okay!" Kushina agreed, happy that Xin wanted to walk her home. She practically skipped along beside him, chattering away non-stop.

It was like she had an endless supply of things to say.

Xin just smiled and nodded every now and then, listening quietly as Kushina vented and chatted.

"See you later."

After saying goodbye to Xin, Kushina hummed a little tune as she walked away, clearly in high spirits.

"Wow, you looked so down this morning, like the world was ending. Now you're all smiles and even humming a tune. Did seeing your crush make you this happy?" Tsunade teased when she saw Kushina's cheerful demeanor.

"Lady Tsunade!!" Kushina's face turned bright red as she stomped her foot in protest.

"There's no crush! Xin-kun just explained why he didn't tell us about what happened, and

that made me feel better. It's not what you think."

"Oh, sure, sure. Not a crush, not a crush."

Tsunade couldn't help but laugh, teasing Kushina even more, while Kushina, flustered, didn't realize she was being played.

She thought Tsunade believed her and skipped off to her room to change clothes.

Meanwhile, Tsunade was left rolling on the couch, laughing.

This girl is too cute.

"Sister, what's so funny?"

Nawaki had just returned from a mission, and he was so exhausted that he collapsed onto the couch.

He didn't even have the energy to take a bath; all he wanted was to sleep.

"Hey Sister, did you make any food? I'm starving," he called out.

"Make food? Are you kidding? When have I ever cooked? Get your lazy self up and go take a bath," Tsunade snapped, grabbing Nawaki and tossing him toward the bathroom.

"After you're done, go buy some food. I'm hungry too."

Most siblings had an older sister taking care of her younger brother, but in his case, it was the other way around.

My sister is so harsh...

Nawaki thought, rubbing the sore spot where he'd landed. His exhaustion had suddenly disappeared, replaced by a strong urge to get cleaned up and buy food.

Otherwise, knowing Tsunade, he'd be in for another round of scolding.

It was a rough life, but there was no one he could complain to since everyone he might talk to was just as scared of Tsunade as he was.
